Extremely clean and newly renovated- everything looks and seems fresh and clean. The bedrooms the bathrooms all were very clean. All the appliances were new - such as the mini fridge- microwave and iron. Absolutely loved the scent of the body wash and shampoo & conditioner. They even had some completely make up remover wipes- which I thought was a Unique and convenient little touch. The Mexican food was extremely tasty and well priced. The staff from the front desk to the dining area were very professional and friendly.

The dining area was a little stuffy- when we asked if they could put the air conditioning on- they advised they didn’t work! Lucky there was a pleasant breeze. Air conditioning in the bedroom was a little noisy

We were so surprised….the Resort is amazing and far exceeded our expectations for accommodation with pet friendly rooms which we stayed in with our 2 dogs. The rooms were set back in a quieter area, they were spacious, loved the Retro colours, and the resort even provided a sheet to cover the lunge if your dog does happen to jump up. Our dogs live their new bed so even though we covered the lounge, weren’t interested. The resort has wonderful facilities. We took turns to use the lovely pool area, while hubby walked the dogs through the spacious gardens and lawn area. The Mexican restaurant was delicious,ours and we sat in the deck with our dogs and breakfast also on the deck. There is a small gym. Everything had been considered and the staff were lovely. A great place to stay and so reasonably priced.

We were staying at a lot of places over the last 13 nights of our trip from North to South with the family and I have to say that this was one of the most comfortable beds we had on our trip. The place was clean and thought that the rooms were nice and bright and airy and loved the look of the room and bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very happy and would definitely stay again on my way through or if i stayed for a few days or so.

Was a very short stay so there was nothing that we didn’t like. Would definitely like to come and stay longer to use all the amenities. My Son and brother in law used the pool and was very happy. Only thing I would say is a recommendation of places to eat on Monday if there is no one in reception to ask as suggested to ask on your information. We came through on a Monday night when most places are closed so went to the Tavern and waited 2 hours for dinner. It was just unfortunate that it was Trivia night so loud and busy for the amount of staff they had in the kitchen. This is only a suggestion that would have helped.

The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Very accommodating with anything we asked for. They even stored some things in their commercial freezer for us as the room refrigerator does not have a freezer section. They had good cocktails and the food we had was good too. The dining/bar area was very comfortable. The room was very spacious and newly remodeled.

The shower temperature fluctuated a lot. From scolding hot to cold and the levers were incredibly sensitive and hard to adjust.

The room was massive, giving me space to spread out. The option of the facilities was great even though I didn't get a chance to use them as I was working. The bed was comfortable and overall feel was great. As a solo female traveller I felt safe and it was close to shops (IGA and Woolworths)

The walls were a little thin and you could hear when people were going in and out of the surrounding rooms but I only heard this in the mornings as people were leaving for the day.

We loved our stay at Cubana Nambucca Heads! We spent four nights here over Christmas in a Queen Room overlooking the beautiful lake, with our daughter and her partner staying just a couple of doors away. The staff were lovely and very helpful. They suggested we use the restaurant area on Christmas Day for our family lunch as it was only open for breakfast. All we had to do was tidy up afterwards. This was perfect! We set up a table with our Christmas spread and enjoyed a lovely casual lunch. We loved the grounds and the tropical lush gardens surrounding our cabanas. The pool area was clean, with comfortable chairs and tables in the shade, as well as lounges poolside for sunning. The pool was so very refreshing and the spa, nice and relaxing. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff and we always felt comfortable and very welcome.

What a great find. This place is like a little oasis in Nambucca. Can't recommend enough - The Customer Service was standout (specifically Lynne on reception); the rooms are new & very well appointed, the cute decor, the fabulous pool area, a solid Mexican restaurant, access to cheap hire of bikes or paddle boards. Would def recommend as a half way over nighter for drives up and down the coast. I'll be back for sure. AND they are dog friendly!!!

The place is a sanctuary. A lake is surrounded by units and a menagerie of wildlife (birds, ducks, lizards etc) roam free. Absolutely calming - just what you need with a cold drink after a long drive.

Unfortunately the restaurant and bar are temporarily not operating at the moment. Apparently the chef decided to close up his business, but no doubt another will take up the option.. But there are other restaurants in Nambucca - it just means a short drive.

Nice spacious room with garden view. The grounds are superb with a lake, swimming pool, sauna, spa and restaurant. We enjoyed the breakfast which was good value for money. The staff were pleasant and the check in/out was easy. Nambucca Heads is a gorgeous place and we were happy with our stay at the Cubana Resort.

A bit out of town but not an issue as we used our car to get around. I noticed the resort had bicycles available.

Travelling with pets and having to book into pet friendly accommodation is very difficult during peak seasons .This accommodation was spotless and extremely comfortable for us and our Labradoodle . We need a stop point to visit family in QLD.If anything, our dog misbehaved a little,he has developed anxiety when he can't see us due to husband now fully retired and is home all day ,so this anxiety is new to us travelling from Sydney to QLD .Thankfully, management were understanding and considerate to our dog's newfound separation anxiety. There were also bowls and a dog blanket for our dog .The resort had extremely friendly staff . Once we got back from buying our dinner, we all enjoyed the peaceful serenity of the resort.I also noticed other little things for example ,good quality shampoo and conditioner,soft towels,new and comfortable beds

Would have been good if restaurant was open to avoid having to go out to look for dinner as that area looked very inviting too.
