The location was excellent, being able to walk around the town, close to shops and club for meals etc. The soundproofing was very good with very little heard from other guests. The staff were in the background. The amenities were modern, clean and well maintained. The room was very comfortable.

There was no microwave. The absence of an elevator meant that heavy bags had to be carried up a flight of stairs. The tightness of parking and exiting the car park kept you on your toes.

Warm welcome at check in by Meiling. True to her name she was beautiful and kind, considerate of the travel I would have done to get there. Clean, spacious room. A very lovely peaceful vibe, I felt very comfortable. My room had a sliding door with screen which was so nice because you can have fresh air even though there is also a ceiling fan and air conditioning. Bed was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was clean and the shower had good pressure. It’s a very quiet location but still not too far from the freeway for your onward journey. Thank you Meiling and Jason. I will be back for sure.

We were upgraded at no extra cost so the children got their own adjoining room. That was excellent. Our room was quite spacious. Receptionist was lovely. Everything was clean. Fridge, sink and microwave, milk, tea and coffee all provided and also free WiFi. Shower was good. Toilet was seperate from bathroom. We were able to park very close. RSL and supermarkets were close walking distance.

I have a list here but they are all trivial observations. There was no bed head on one of the kids beds so the pillow could just fall off. The bathroom bin did not have a liner. Queen mattress was excessively soft but I liked it anyway. Room was upstairs. I only mention it becasue my husband has very bad knees.

Rooms were exceptionally clean and well presented. Furniture was in very good condition. The bathroom was large, modern and more like you’d see in a higher end hotel. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. I asked to use a microwave and one was brought up to our room. Will definitely stay again next year.

Maybe a microwave, plates, bowls and cutlery could be a permanent fixture in the rooms?

Clean room. Well organised. Everything you need. General area, car parking etc all nicely kept. Enthusiastic welcome, with suggestions of where to eat for dinner etc. Beautiful town, and an ideal base to explore from.

Nothing, really. it's a simple and clean room, nicely kept, with helpful staff, and conveniently located. Perfect for a stopover on your way north (or south).

I have stayed here multiple times and tried most of the accommodation in the vicinity, it is the best place in Macksville to stay! Ideal location, friendliest people you could meet, immaculately clean and extreemly well looked after. I will keep staying here each time I visit Macksville as I have many times before.

Our first stay at the Mandarin and know this motel will be our go to again. The host Mei Ling was very welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious and very clean. We had a continental breakfast in the Motel's sunfilled breakfast room which was generous and a great way to start the day. Location is fabulous a short walk to several great choices for dinner. All parking is undercover. We dined at the Macksville Hotel. Had the Thursday night special Surf and Turf. Steak cooked exactly as requested with seafood topper - delicious food and lovely atmosphere.

Room is spacious and airy. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Clean batroom. Nice hot water in shower. Got tea/coffee making facility. TV works great. Walking distance to town. What else can you expect more? Great place to stay.

Meiling and Jason were very helpful and friendly, the room was spacious, very clean and quiet, perfect location, undercover parking, easy to find just off the M1. Perfect place to stop on my trip back to Sydney from Brisbane. Also I loved the breakfast options!

Nothing to not like.

Our Executive Apartment was spacious and provided us with a very comfortable bed, lovely hot shower and small kitchenette to prepare any meals required. Balcony a bonus, as was close proximity to shops, hotels and cafes.

Very little to complain about. A little mould in shower recess which could have done with a scrub with a 50/50 vinegar and water mixture. We appreciate that mould is an issue in high humidity areas. Otherwise no complaints at all.
