The view from the room was beautiful. We could see through the marina out to the water and just around the corner was the pool. The breakfast serving room was large and had plenty of room to move around. The dining area was exceptional - spacious and had a comfortable feel with different types of seating, something to appeal to everyone. The entrance is decorated in a nautical theme and has a beautiful floor-to-ceiling wood relief art piece depicting nautical flags that reads "Welcome and Enjoy". The best part about our stay was the staff. The Manager, Suzy, Sabbir, Alice, and many others {I don't know their names} were very warm, friendly, and helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay fun during a pretty hectic week! They treated us like family and we were very sad to leave. We look forward to seeing them on our next trip!

Small things - our front door stuck and was hard to open. A request had been put in to fix it. The tub didn't drain well and the bathroom could use an exhaust fan. On the positive though, the water pressure was great and we always had clean towels! We were there during the Chincoteague pony swim's 100th anniversary, a VERY hectic week for the entire island so, all in all, these things did NOT affect our stay. The value of a stay is not just in the property, but also the quality of the staff. We had so many questions as first-timers on the island, and the Marina Bay's staff was the BEST!

Our first impression of any place we've ever been to is at the checkin desk. To this point, Jabrea, who checked us in, was extremely friendly and accommodating, giving us a room with a view of the water, at an upper floor, free of charge. The facilities were also updated, spacious and clean. The lobby and cafe area was comfortable and well lit, as was the pool area.

Breakfast servings were well priced but poorly executed. The pancakes came out lukewarm/room temp and the avocado toast came out on a bed of shredded iceberg lettuce, not microgreens, as advertised. And the "toast" was white bread, ewww. The bacon was weirdly sweet and sausage nonexistent (they were out, we were told). The service was otherwise fine, if apologetic. Felt like a start up, hoping it improves with time, to catch up with the quality of the hotel.

Stayed in a double queen room with sleeper couch. The room could accommodate 5 to 6 people. Our room as well as the common areas were very clean. The room and hallways smelled fresh. It was convenient to have a small refrigerator and microwave in the room. The hotel type coffee maker had Starbucks coffee pods. Pump shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel dispensers in the shower were appreciated. Body lotion was provided in small bottles and an individual soap bar was on the sink.

The sleeper couch was very uncomfortable with an old, thin mattress covered by an inadequate cotton batting mattress topper. The individual springs could be felt and it sunk in the middle like sleeping in a hammock. Having stayed here before, we really missed the hot breakfast. The breakfast offerings in the café were limited and very expensive. A single teabag cost four dollars!

Nice property. Loved the balcony and the pool. I wish it had a hot tub.

No hot tub. My only complaint was that the front desk called my room at 8am and asked that I come downstairs for some reason. Woke me up out of a deep sleep on my vacation and scared me half to death with the ringing hotel phone. I declined to go downstairs and asked what they wanted. They said they “forgot” to scan my card for the ice cream that I bought the night before from the freezer. They really needed to wake me up at 8am for that? I told them I would take care of it later (considering they had my credit card that I used to pay for the room which was also on file for incidentals). The staff was unsympathetic when I told them they woke me up. Other than that they were super nice and helpful. Just an odd thing to do at 8am.

It's a very clean hotel and the assistance manager that was on duty was wonderful. She was very friendly and made us feel welcomed.

We were very disappointed that they didn't have the breakfast buffet anymore. I understand their concern about waste but that what a lot of people look forward to is having a good breakfast at the hotel. For our stay I was looking at 2 places and this was the final decision that made us choose this hotel. Sorry to see it go, but they did give us a voucher to use at their hotel store for food or drink to make up for it.

A beautiful, clean and quiet hotel right on the water. The room was spacious and beds were comfortable.

They charge a $15 per day ‘resort charge’ and then give you a $15 voucher to apply towards breakfast. 2 microwaveable sandwiches and 2 coffees were $14. So, they’re charging you $15 for breakfast but calling it a ‘resort fee’. That just seems silly. The carpet in our room had stains and needs to be replaced. As we’ve also encountered in hotels, I’m glad more hotels are going to soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the showers. But someone needs to check on them occasionally. 2 of the 3 in our room were empty.

The room was spacious and the amenities were good (fridge and microwave oven). Plenty of towels, which we loved. Cleaning staff was very nice.

There was a constant smell in the room that we couldn't get rid of. We don't know whether the bathroom in the adjacent room was broken or something but the coffee area (a small table with a coffee machine) smelled of sewage, sometimes barely noticeable and sometimes very strongly! Also, they forgot to clean our room one night....

Quiet, good location, clean.

The bathroom did not have any shower gel or shampoo and we called for toilet paper as well. Didn't realize until I was in the shower. Had hair conditioner only. Also upon arrival toilet paper holder was broken. However they did come and fix that immediately. I would think the cleanup crew would have turned in a ticket. But nice place I would stay there again

The lobby decor was great! I love that there was plenty of seating and I loved all the ropes. the staff was helpful, listened to our needs, and gave advice about places to go on the island. I love the water views on the back. We enjoyed the pool, and our room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. The breakfasts were great! I loved that they had French toast one morning, eggs with cheese, and turkey sausage (we don’t eat pork).

There was nothing I didn’t like, but I wish we had gotten a room with a balcony overlooking the pool and/or the water.

We like our room being on the first floor with a balcony that was right at the pool. We also had a view of the bay from our room which was nice.

When we booked we thought breakfast was included. When we got there we were told it was not included and if we wanted it we had to pay extra. We never had breakfast there.
