Beautiful property.. nice grounds , near main road a little noisy, Hotel suite nice size spaces , roll top bath adds romance to the room

The room was in great need of TLC , furniture very dated, curtain missing leaving just one side , scorch mark on bedside cabinet bedside lamp missing, the other one broken, kettle needed descaling still had water in from previous guests.. one of the bath towels had a big rip , shaving light bulb was missing, Roll top bath standing tap was in need of repair , handed been cleaned lime scale and corrosion… Was told at reception it had been cleaned, smelt a little , needed widow opened, then there was noise from the road .. It was a romantic stay , we were let down ..

The place is literally connected to the restaurant. They also delivered food to my room so I could eat in privacy. The price of the food and the room were second to none. Some of the nicest people there. The price of the room was also amazing.

The lack of WiFi and the lack of mobile signal meant a challenge. You do go off the grid a bit as well. Make sure you download anything u want to watch before you go. Acquiring an invoice ended up being a challenge with multiple attempts to get one. I ended up getting one after countless attempts.

Restaurant food and selection was excellent. Very busy in the evening but can see why it’s popular for families and couples as a result. Staff were very efficient, even under the pressure of the amount of guests arriving and subsequent food orders. Polite staff, good food and ample parking.

This particular hotel could do with a little updating. The room I was in was okay for the price, however a good clean and refurbishment of some of the furniture would work wonders. No breakfast option, but there is a garage nearby, heading southbound. Genuinely felt a little run down, but as I’ve said, updating the rooms and the entrance would really help.

Didn't have breakfast but can say the room was very clean and comfy bed. Good desk to work on, restaurant you don't need to go outside to access. Strong shower, 3 towels, spacious room, handy for A19. Wil stay again!

Lighting is main light or nothing, would be nice to have a desk light. TV did not work, maybe the connection, aerial was dodgy but I was working only laptop anyway.

We booked honeymoon suite Shower and bathroom great. Bath in bedroom great except tall tap needs fitted properly as it was on a slant. Room could do with a spruce up as it was dated and furniture marked . Restaurant absolutely cracking.. food unreal!

Great restaurant, the hotel manager was very helpful. The room was amazing 10/10 in my book

This is not a dislike more of a light-hearted observation. Where did they procure the tea & coffee cups from? Was it a dolls house emporium they are a tad small to say the least

I'm currently house-hunting and needed somewhere in the area with good transport links to search for a property to buy. The Windmill just off the A19 was perfect for this. I booked the honeymoon suite (just for me) because of the lovely roll top free standing bath.

It did feel a little isolated in that reception wasn't manned and I had to hunt out someone for some loo roll - not the end of the world and both members of staff I encountered were friendly and helpful.

Nice food , nice atmosphere, room was gorgeous , having a freestanding bath in your room is lovely

Quite abrupt with the welcoming meet - jumped straight to conclusion of us being a ‘young’ couple and that we were going to have to be told rules about smoking and loud music..

The facilities in the rooms were very good. Had a meal in the restaurant which was very good. The staff were very pleasant.

Could have been a touch cleaner.
