Location is very convenient for the village. Very quiet too, even though the bar was very busy especially at weekends, the noise did not reach the rooms area. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Checking every day if I needed anything for the room, food towels etc. Excellent!

Internet was down for a few days, very inconvenient for many. Even when it was fixed a few days later the signal did not reach the upper floors of the hotel. Had to go to the reception area to get a signal. Very inconvenient for all.

Good spot in centre of town, even so, good night's sleep. No food, no kitchen on that night but Italian restaurant next door was good. No WIFI, not great signal. Good shower, comfy bed. Continental style self serve breakfast, basic but well catered for. Room is clean, we laid out, quite spacious.

Wi-Fi not good but it is 2 floors. No cooked breakfast. Good accommodation in town but nowhere to work in the room, no desk.

We've stayed here a number of times, ideally situated to visit family.

This time we could not receive any Internet, tried different codes but no luck. We had a problem with the fire alarm going off at 11pm which continued until 1am. Despite numerous calls to the emergency contact we could not get a answer only a message service. There are no staff at the hotel on a night.

Very enjoyable stay. Good bar food, with friendly staff, comfortable bar/ lounge area.

The bathroom tap needs to be tightened. Main probelm is parking, there is a large parking area in front of the hotel, but as its first come first served, it soon fills up, which leaves street parking which is not easy to find.

we loved that the hotel was walking distance to shopping, food etc. the continental breakfast was simple and good - just the right amount of food for the morning. we appreciated that it was replenished daily. friendly and helpful staff! great location. it is old and charming.

our room faced the back of the hotel so you couldn't see out to see any of the street activity, but it was quiet and fit our needs

A nice walk across the park from the Hardwick Hall Hotel where I had a conference. It was bang in the middle of the amazing little town of Sedgefield and had the pub downstairs has sport on TV and friendly bar staff.

Couldn't fault the place, wasnt anything in particular I could have an issue with. Maybe the windows onto the main road were a little difficult to open but I'm really clutching at straws to find an issue with this hotel.

This was a lovely stay in a lovely hotel. Every member of staff that we met was helpful and pleasant. We encountered a problem that was not of the hotel’s making, which was responded to very promptly and fully. Very good breakfast which was served with a smile. Definitely would like to return to explore the area more.

We were booked to stay in a double room but was advised ahead of our stay that there was an issue with our room and was offered the apartment at no additional cost. The check in went without a glitch, the flat although a little dated due to being an old building was clean, comfortable and adequate for our stay. We didn't have breakfast as we took advantage of the 11:00am check out but we were advised it was available as a continental breakfast.

Hot water in the shower was hit and miss but not too much of an issue.

Sedgefield is a great location for drinks and dining and this hotel is perfectly situated to take advantage of everything on offer. A mini fridge in the room was handy for keeping drinks cool.

Only coninental breakfast provided in the room was available, whilst this was perfectly adequate, a full breakfast as we've had previously at this hotel would be even better.

I had great communication with the staff about my later than planned arrival. Room 8 was spacious, clean, comfy. The room was full of the essentials including a fridge with stock. I would gladly stay again.
