Good location, very clean and comfortable room. Dogs are very welcome including a wee welcome pack, and there’s a couple of great walks close by as well as an enclosed garden area for them. Staff were friendly and dinner and breakfast very good with a nice selection available.

The rooms aren’t well soundproofed and it can be really noisy. Our first night was perfect, but the second night a coach load of tourists arrived who were on the go from 5am…and when you’re in a ground floor room you can hear everything above (loud voices; squeaky floorboards). Plus the metal stairs/walkways are super noisy and echoey with wheely bags so not the best start to the day as it took about 2.5 hours for them all to check out 🤦‍♀️The staff were apologetic and very kindly comp’d our breakfast for us…but just something to be aware of.

The hotel was exceptional value for money. Many large brand value hotels are in fact not value for money. Park Head hotel is excellent! The decor is modern, warm and tasteful. The bedrooms are spacious and practical without feeling cheap. Having a lobby door before your main room entrance door is a great idea as no passing noise from other rooms. The corridors are not over crowded. The bar/restaurant area was modern and comfortable.

Unfortunately we arrived late so the kitchen had just closed. A light order bar menu would be a welcome addition to the food offer A range of ambient bar snacks would also be highly recommended...only crisps available and only one flavour available.

The staff were helpful and friendly. Plenty of parking including electric charge points. The food in the hotel was tasty. The room was small and simply furnished, but clean and fuctioned well. The bath room was very nice and the shower was excellent. Good to have tea and coffee and biscuits, plus toiletries provided. I thought it was really good value for money and really appreciated the rooms cleaniliness especially and the friendly staff.

I was a bit concerned about pulling the large TV out from the wall, it looked a little unstraight when i did this and i didnt want the brackets to break, so I ended up not watching TV because of this. Coffee bags (like teabags but with coffee :)) would be be very nice, rather than just instant coffee.

Good for work and a nights stay. Easy to find location. Room was clean and tidy and warm. Shower was clean. The breakfast was absolutely perfect and catered to vegan menu. One of the best breakfast I had recently. The room itself had good WiFi and basic amenities like toiletries, kettle and tea/coffee. Good value for money.

I was given the disabled friendly ground floor room which was fine but could hear lot of noises from the adjacent room. Not entirely sound proof. The car park area was very icy due to the cold weather and at one point dangerous to walk up to the reception. It would be good to have the staff clear the ice during harsh weather conditions

The location was ideal for us. The breakfast in particular was great value and overall very good, but their vegan sausages were a bit like "cardboard", they should try Richmond meat free or the "Beyond" range of meat free products. The bed was comfortable. The shower had good pressure. Tea & coffee making facilities are always a bonus.

The blinds on the windows don´t keep out the light sufficiently, so we kept being woken by light streaming through the gaps around the edges at sunrise and as there was no aircon in the room, we had to open the windows, so the breeze blew the blinds open even further, allowing more light in to the room. Also, having the windows open meant we could hear the noise from the nearby A688 main road. The room was cleaned efficiently, but the area immediately outside and around the door to the room was very dirty. There were cobwebs and insect nests on the wall outside the front door and even bird feathers on the ground, none of which were cleaned during our 5 night stay.

The Staff were really friendly & the room was spotless.

Small issues / possible improvements: 1. Entry with bags / cases is difficult through the doors as they're not automatic. 2. Access again. Access once leaving reception was through a door to the bar, through the bar to a door with stairs behind it up to a landing to another door and then finally my room door. Not so easy with a case & bags of my work gear. The Hotel could do with a lift. 3. Hypo allergenic Bedding had been washed with extremely intense washing scents. They were so strong they gave me a headache. Bedding needs washed with something less scented. 4. Over priced for size of room / type of hotel. It was advertised as £120.00 per night (Double bed - no breakfast) but comparing it to other hotels I'd say it should've been around £90.00 - £95.00.

The establishment has undergone a transformation and now presents itself in an aesthetically pleasing manner. The accommodations were generously sized and maintained in a very tidy and clean state. The personnel, from the reception desk to the dining establishment, demonstrated utmost courtesy and friendliness. The afternoon meal consisted of delectable, home-style cuisine that delighted the palate.

The breakfast was disappointing. I ordered the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Both meals were brought out at the same time, but the server took my plate away after giving my wife hers. When she returned, she informed me that the scrambled eggs were missing. Upon inspecting my plate, I noticed that there was only a small spoonful of eggs.

Family room was huge, clean and comfortable. The foldout bed was like a cozy corner for my daughter. Slept really well as it was so quite. The staff were so kind and accommodating. Thoroughly lovely little break.

Breakfast hours at the weekend we not as we're advertised in this site. I'd paid for a full breakfast for 3 of us for 2 nights. Only continental breakfast was available at the time we needed it. Staff were very accommodating and made us bacon rolls on the first morning, which were delicious, but weren't able to refund the breakfast charge as we'd booked through this site.

The rooms were spotless clean, paintwork clean, flooring, bedding all surfaces and bathroom immaculate. I had a single room but it had everything needed and really was like ‘home from home’. The chef Alison and the front of house/receptionist called Miranda they both took the time to chat with me, so warm and friendly (especially as a lone female traveller). Both of these ladies, housekeeping and the gentleman who dealt with my repeat booking for October (I have a wedding there) are a credit to this hotel (diligent and courteous). I had two breakfasts both were absolutely perfectly cooked: Eggs Royal and Scrambled egg with Smoked Salmon x

A little noise in my room from kiddie upstairs jumping about (not his fault, bless him). However, the lady on reception quickly had it sorted out for me. Reception staff were excellent and helpful

An amazing hotel, the rooms were much larger than your average hotel room and we loved all the little touches that were so carefully thought about like the black out blinds, bottle opener, decaf tea and coffee options, the mirrors and lighting. Both me and my husband said it was one of the best showers we've ever had in any place we have stayed too! We also had a drink on one of the two patios. It looked out over open fields, it was such a sun trap. We were really impressed with the quality of the outdoor tables and chairs too. I can't write this review without mentioning how unbelievable the staff were, everyone was so welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about the hotel and surrounding area. We had the warmest welcome, really easy check in and check out process. We had a drink in the bar when we got back from Kynren and the bar person was so helpful and friendly, even coming over to the table to ask if we would like to put in a final order before the bar closed. Time got away with us and we realised the bar was closing around us but we were never felt rushed or asked to leave. Another member of staff was moving chairs and tables and mopping the floor, honestly everything was cleaned and spotless. He then took the time to talk to us about the area and the hotel and gave some great recommendations. He remembered us at breakfast the next morning and came to say hello and ask if we'd had a good stay. The breakfast was lovely too, such a lovely dining room and quality breakfast with lots of options. Also for anyone worrying about proximity to the road - you really can't hear it all! Totally recommend this hotel, it made our trip entirely!
