The hotel and the rooms are simple but nice and clean. Toilet and shower are shared, but there were 2 showers and 2 toilets in 3 locations for 4 rooms, plus a sink in the room. The staff / owner was exceptionally helpful, letting us check in well before the official check in time, providing the possibility for a breakfast in the middle of the night, letting us leave our luggage in the morning. Perfect customer-oriented service. Dinner in the restaurant was also great, maybe the best cheese fondue we have ever had, and again, the service was perfect.

There is very little protection from the noise other guests make, e.g. when coming in their room, going to the toilet, even just talking... you hear basically every move in the rooms around you.

I slept one night during a long hiking tour. The room was excellent, great value for location/ services. The staff was very kind and also accomodating with providing the option of an early breakfast so that I could take off at 6:30. I would greatly recommend it!

Great location in the center of town — close to grocery stores (x 2) and restaurants. We stayed in a double twin room with private bathroom. Wonderful host family and very kind employees! We had several meals at the restaurant — great mixed salad, pizza, fondue and schnitzel!

This hotel is part way up the Grand San Bernadino Pass on the Swiss side. It is in a very small town but in a beautiful location. It is a small hotel with good facilities. The breakfast was very good. There are limited eating facilities in the town.

We were on the second floor so the lack of a lift needs to be taken into account. this did not worry us but might concern some travellers.

Staff were very friendly and, whilst it is a very basic hotel, the hotel was warm and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were good. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed 1 night, 2 hikers. Hotel du Gd-St-Bernard is ideal as a starting point for tour des Combines (TDC) hikers. It is 6 km hiking from Mille Hut. It has a bar, breakfast, lunch and dinner services. The room was very spacious and cosy and the beds were comfortable, WiFi is good in both dining room and sleeping room. The hotel is 10-20 minutes by car from great st Bernard pass and it has a bus station next to it (both to the pass and Orsières).

The hotel has all the basic stuff. Personal was very helpful. This town surprisingly has quite good hiking trails. And the food in the restaurant was very good

It is worth driving the distance if your budget is restricted.

There was no television or table in the room but there was a chair. It was a single room with a bed and fountain and a cubboard.

Good location. Lovely staff very friendly and helpful. Food served at the restaurant is good. The room is good value considering this is Switzerland.

Bed is not very comfortable, mattress a bit old. Could add a small cheap tv in the room.

The room was spacious and clean. The view was spectacular. They have good food as well.

Food was a little pricey. I had a steak i asked medium but it was well done. Still taste ok though.
