I loved this place so much I almost DNF'd the TMB to stay here longer. We loved the clean and bright family room that had two balconies, a sink in one room, and a separate bath. The chocolate on the pillows and the bottled water was a nice touch. Tastefully decorated. The outdoor common space patio was so comfortable and lovely for lounging.

The mattresses of the twin beds in the family room could have been more comfortable but I would still rate this hotel a 10.

We booked this hotel as it was on the our TMB route. Location is spectacular, if you're hiking you can see the hotel imbedded in the hills from a long distance away. Views from the hotel are also incredible. The owners granddad built the hotel and she is maintaining family business which is something we would always support. Their welcome and attendance to all our needs was very personal and without hesitation. We also stayed for dinner and we were not disappointed, great food and great service. Hotel rooms are very charming full of character but most importantly we had an amazing sleep. It was quiet, bed was very comfortable and we could only recommend this hotel.

We spent a fantastic weekend at the Splendide hotel. The views opening from the hotel are simply breathtaking and the balcony offers sunshine in the scenery of the Alps from morning till late noon. The staff is incredibly friendly and sharing the tips and tricks of the local activities and adventures. We also shared a dinner at their restaurant and the family chef is worth a Michelin star. Surely our destination for the upcoming the summer.

The Champex Lax village itself is rather small and not much to engage in (one groceries store and couple of restaurants to dine in). Make sure to plan your stay ahead (e.g we drove to Verbier for a skiing day and it was great and only 20km distance from the hotel).

Lovely family run hotel, in the perfect location the explore Champex-Lac! We got train/bus from Geneva Airport (which was very easy!) to spend the weekend skiing. The breakfast spread was great, everything you could want. The Richer-Lonfat Familywere extremely helpful, both before our trip via email and once we arrived! Well worth the room with a view too! Would definitely recommend.

The hotel was in the best position in Champex and had extraordinary views of the surrounding valleys and mountains. It was beautifully furnished and the most wonderful place to stay.

The hotel has immense charm from its period design and decor. We loved it. It has a spectacular location on top of a cliff. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

For people from the UK, like many hotels in Switzerland, it was a little expensive. But the others in Champex were more expensive

Location was magnificent and peaceful. We really enjoyed the view from the courtyard and our room, and the proximity to the bus stop and the beautiful Champex Lac

Staff could have been more helpful with laundry and food allergies. And maybe invest in a few fans for when it gets hot. But they were helpful in other ways like pointing out train schedules.

Mountain views (check when booking), ambience, elevator in the building, facilities, balcony, staff, good coffee.

I’m too used to English Breakfast; not an option here.

Fabulous view from balcony in room. Nicely appointed room, good dinner and breakfast buffet. Lovely terrace outside to sit while having a pre-dinner beer.

Not enough electrical outlets in room for easy phone charging.

The hotel service is excellent. Family owned business. They genuinely care about their customers. Highly recommended
