The staff was friendly and helpful when we needed things.The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The separate kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom were great. We enjoyed the large refrigerator and kitchen space. There were plenty of linens when we asked for extra when needed. We were able to keep the temperature in the room in a comfortable range.

The closet in the room had a strong musty, mildew smell. The kitchen only had a few plates and a couple of bowls and silverware. There were no kitchen towels. The parking lot was a bit tight to navigate but we managed.

I think this room has been remodeled since the last time I stayed in it 2 yrs ago and the tile around the tub is phenomenal. Love the full kitchen and large shower as well.

The wine glass behind the bed. It wasn't mine. Other items I couldn't reach behind the bed. Someone's not cleaning much. The water temp changed the second day in the shower to scalding. Couldn't get the temp lower. Later on, temp was tepid and couldn't get it to warm up. Fan inside bathroom is caked on with an inch of dirt and grime. Needs to be cleaned badly.

I like everything about this motel great staff great people staying here really really close to all the beaches my God you are not limited far enough away that you can sleep! The rooms are very nice for the price. I couldn’t believe everything. I got room to breathe and cook and bake huge refrigerator. Bring your own ice cube tray s or ice l!!!

It’s a little crowded in for parking but still it’s a great stay being so close to the beach is wonderful all the stores Ventura Boulevard. It’s wonderful. The price is right.

There is a nice ambience with the sound of wind chimes, and fresh air. It has a roomy kitchen for a motel. The beds were better than at the more high priced hotels Ive stayed at in V entura before It has the basics I needed and more. The manager responded to my request to check in earlier and called me back while I was on the train. Ive stayed at a fewothers similar in size and location and they were quite pleasant in comparison.

First time staying at the Viking Motel and it was beyond better then we ever expected. Great staff and the rooms are big and come with a full kitchen. The location is wonderful and you are close to everything. Highly recommend it to everyone visiting Ventura.

We did not like anything. From the time we checked in until the time we checked out, we experienced a great stay. Robbie at the front desk, was polite and courteous and made sure we were happy with everything.

The room was really spacious, clean and newly tiled throughout the living spaces and bathroom. The appliance's were new and the kitchen was stocked with dishes, kitchen ware and fully functional.

The parking spaces are limited. Street parking is available however, between 6pm and 9am. We parked on the street our second night there. Fortunately we found a spot before 9am the morning of our check out, and moved our vehicle into the motel parking area.

The room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Our room overlooked a plant nursery and the kitchen was exceptional and had its own eating area. It is a motel with the lowest price, but easily compared to more expensive places. It was near downtown, near shopping and near the ocean. For a humble motel it was a delightful surprise.

I'm trying hard to think of something, but for the price it was completely satisfactory. Many of the rooms had a jacuzzi and ours had a nice tub instead but with over 400 square feet, who cares. They have a $100 refundable security deposit, but they did not require it when we checked in.

I very much enjoyed how it was close to everything that I wanted to do while I visited the city. Staff gave me no issues during my stay and made things very easy. I planned on putting down a good review before the clerk had asked me to!

The jacuzzi in the rooms could be scrubbed a bit further. Got too excited upon my arrival and wanted to try it out. Used the standing shower for the rest of my stay, but otherwise everything was well!

Nice and affordable place to stay, felt homey (referring to style of furniture, exterior of building and with a kitchen included with our room!). Everything was fairly new, clean and comfortable. Loved that a kitchen was included and we were able to cook dinner and breakfast to save money on eating out. Kitchen was nice with a full fridge, oven, stove, coffee maker and toaster—also silverware and dishware were included. Only thing you needed to bring were pots and pans. Close to a grocery store (VONS), downtown Ventura and the beach. Bathrooms were remodeled and exceptionally clean. Loved that we got a Cal King, when I was expecting just a King size bed (or that's what it said when I booked a room). Friendly cleaning maids; we said hello to them on our way out. Also, it's nice that check out time is at 11 am.

Could not figure out how to turn on the TV with the remote. We didn't try any buttons on the actual TV. Did not bother to contact the staff as we were super tired anyway and went to bed early. No mirror in the bathroom, but there was one on the dresser. Only huge problem was there no lighting near the mirror, so it was dark and hard to see when putting on make up and contacts. Not a deal breaker, but would be nice to have some kind of lighting near the mirror/ dresser.

I keep coming back because it’s the coziest and clean motel in Ventura. Full kitchens are so nice, cooked a few meals and they had pots and dishes. Some rooms have jet bath-spa tubs, so nice! The people who run this motel are so nice and help with everything. I definitely will only stay here in Ventura.
