This is the best hotel we have stayed at. All staff ensured that everything went like "clock-work". Food was exceptional and the waiting at tables could not be faulted. Helpfulness of all staff was highly creditable (From my wife getting lost and being personally ushered safely to our room by the concierge, to myself suffering from a painful knee-joint and being supplied with an ice-pack from the lounge-bar!). Many of the guests we spoke to were returning and were all quick to extol the many virtues of the Langham. We shall do the same!

We would have liked a room a little bit closer to the reception / dining areas (mainly because of my immobility ,which only cropped up the day before we left for Eastbourne, so couldn`t be planned for ) but nonetheless it was very clean and comfortable. Full credit to the cleaning ladies. Their timing was impeccable!!

Stayed with my disabled mother and all went very well. The room had two sea views (photos) which made being in it very entertaining, one direct onto beach and one along the coast. It was compact for twin beds but very comfortable. Mattresses were comfortable and we had tea making facilities, two armchairs and a little table, plus desk. Very clean and newly decorated tastefully. Very solid walls. Walk-in shower. No neighbour or plumbing noise, even in August! Lift, restaurant, bar, terrace and downstairs seating area. The seafront road was quiet after 11 pm and not very noisy during the day, with window open, just whooshing of cars. Bus 99 stops opposite (to town or station). Lovely choices for the breakfast. All the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. There was a coach party but we hardly noticed them. A well-oiled machine, with happy staff.

First and foremost, the staff. So welcoming, friendly and helpful. Clean and comfortable room with stunning sea views. Comfortable lounge and bar areas with a great selection of prints on the walls. Good choice of breakfast and lunch/dinner menus in the restaurant and the adjoining conservatory area with sea views. Excellent bar food and drink. The free shortbread or flapjack with tea or coffee was a nice touch. Cleanliness throughout the hotel, inside and out.

There was nothing I didn't like, but I would just comment that I would have liked a handheld/adjustable shower unit in addition to the fixed overhead shower. Again in the bathroom, the gap next to the fixed shower screen is quite narrow and there is nothing to hold onto when leaving the shower, apart from the heated towel rail, which can be quite hot and burn one's hands if not careful to grab a towel. A mini fridge in the room would be lovely for storing fresh milk and cold drinks. Finally, I think another lift would be helpful, especially on arrival and departure days for coach parties. Having said all that, I would definitely recommend this hotel as one of the best overall in Eastbourne, including value for money, and I look forward to my next visit. Thank you.

The Langham's location and its sense of history, the relaxed atmosphere, the very high quality breakfast (at an outstanding discount rate). Plus the staff seemed really happy to work there, which always enhances a hotel's vibe.

This is a minor design note: our double room with a sea view was really relaxing and beautifully airy; however, it had a lot of oversized storage furniture for the size of the room - - would suggest reducing storage furniture by about 50 per cent.

Welcoming staff, great location, spotless room, and excellent breakfast

Room was next to the lift, which was a bit irritating, and woke me up very early. Pillows were large, plump, and firm - would have preferred a thinner/softer option as well. Shower temperature was scorching hot, and there was no way to reduce it. Being peak season, trying to find somewhere to park was challenging, but thankfully, the weather was nice, and I managed to park a few streets away. Might be an issue for guests with mobility issues or during bad weather 🤔

Our room had a sea view and was great to be able to watch the Red Arrows from our window without enduring the winds outside.

We chose to have breakfast on our 1st morning of staying and whilst it was 9.45 when we went in, it appeared to be a bit of an after thought with the service and the actual breakfast. What was served was cold and the meals chosen got mixed up with the wrong items on the plates, this was corrected but again a lot of the food was cool/cold. Moral of this is not to go in for breakfast near the end.

Breakfast menu was excellent. Staff were friendly & professional. My room was comfortable. Hot water for a bath & relax .. so nice & relaxing.

A 6am early wake up from guests staying around my room realised must have been part of the coach company.. I was disappointed.. to be charged £80 extra at the end of my checking out day.. my £170.00 plus free breakfast x2 nights via booking.com I felt was more than enough!! Slightly has put me off.. booking via booking.com.. ( hidden extras) !! ??

Hotel was clean. Breakfast was lovely, staff were helpful. Bed was comfortable. I had requested a quiet room and it was quiet.

I misunderstood how little car parking the hotel has and that I should have booked if I wanted a space, we ended up parking quite far from the hotel. The event we were going to (in Polegate) involved driving there on Saturday evening, Sunday morning and afternoon and finally on Sunday evening - 4 return trips and long walks to and from the hotel. Weather was hot and so was the room which is ok but the heater in the bathroom came on and off and it was very hot, we couldn’t work out how to switch it off.

The bed and pillow were comfortable and the breakfast very good. The room had a side see view which was unexpected and although close to the main road, was quiet once the windows were closed - well soundproofed. The staff were all friendly and helpful which enhanced my stay.

A little awkward to plug in the kettle as no socket near where the tray is positioned. You can hear a lot of traffic noise when the window is open (okay once closed).
