The location is spot on. We had a lovely sea view and easy access walking into Eastbourne Town Centre, local pubs and cafes. Parked for free as we found a space on one of the residential roads at the back of the hotel. Left it there for our entire stay. Very big so you don’t feel on top of the other guests. Extremely clean and everything you needed was in our room. If you wanted a quiet night in the hotel there was a fab bar and food to eat too even a pool table for entertainment and separate areas if you wanted a space to read and enjoy the sea view. The young lad on reception was so polite and helpful which started our stay at The Strand on a positive note and continued throughout. X

Nothing to dislike.

We loved the location - on the seafront, close to the bus stops to explore the area. The staff were kind and helpful and made an effort to make our stay comfortable. The room was as shown in the pictures and it was great value for money. We slept with the window open and it was wonderful. We are the type of guests who use accommodation only as a place for sleep and spend as much time outdoors as possible, which is why this was perfect for us.

Our stay was a bit short. The room was a bit small but it was what we needed - the ground floor.

The location was wonderful, right on the sea front and close to shops, restaurants and the train station. I got a single room with a fantastic sea view; I thought that there might be a lot of noise from traffic at night, but it was very peaceful. The bed linen was immaculately clean, as was the rest of the room. The staff member at reception was very friendly and helpful. They have a bar that is open 24/7 (as is reception) and you can get some basic meals/snacks - I didn't take advantage of this, but it all looked pretty decent. Fantastic budget stay.

The shower wasn't that powerful, which is to be expected with these lovely old buildings, but there was plenty of hot water. Just for information rather than a complaint, the free toiletries are basic so you may want to bring your own if you are staying for more than a night.

I needed to combine with work so needed a table to sit at that I could fit my legs under… was given a room change the next morning with no squabbles or extra charge…. The room and bed were huge! Good decor, tv not greatly positioned to view from chair…. Bathroom small in comparison but serves purpose… glass shelf loose so couldn’t put anything on it. All mirrors were fitted for when the 7 dwarfs stayed…. I had to squat to see my face in them! There’s enough space for a small sofa at the end of the bed which would have been nice for relaxing and watching the TV…hopefully the management with heighten the mirrors fix bathroom shelf and consider the small sofa suggestion going forwards… but especially as a sea view room certainly good value for money. Maybe a room fridge would be nice and a communal use microwave for all guests to make use of? 🙂

Upon our arrival, my dad and I were greeted by a very friendly staff member, who informed us we had a free upgrade to a double room each. The rooms were clean and exceptionally tidy and the pillows were very comfy and the towels were soft. My dad was over the moon regarding the parking tickets available for hotel guests, just under £5 for 2x days! Superb location, being opposite the sea.

The rooms could have done with a hairdryer, because I forgot mine! 😆 Due to the age of the building, there are a few damp patches but the owners are VERY proactive with this issue. Nothing in the rooms though.

I loved the huge room with sea views. Really nice view of the pier from my bedroom window. The bed was so comfy!!! I also loved the unexpected room upgrade Subham gave me. I was so pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel given its price. This hotel is most definitely punching above its weight! Very happy with the on street parking outside the hotel. Easy to find a spot, and a biker friendly location. Seemed pretty safe parking it on the seafront over night too. Happy that check out is until 11AM. Some hotels make you pay extra for that. Staff were all very warm, friendly and happy to help. Extending my stay an extra night was hassle free, and quick to do. I’ll definitely be staying here again in the future!

Not much. The keycard took a few attempts in the door at times, but no different than some other hotels in this regard.

A lot of reviews saying it was a bit tired, the room was actually very clean and fresh, so they must be doing some bits by bit. It was warm, clean, enough space and quiet enough. Staff were friendly, easy going and easy to deal with. Remember to have some cash for the car parking permit

Parking, it's awful around there, I spent 40 minutes trying to find a spot TV was stuck on one channel and the remote didn't work No plug in the sink? Shower needs to be run for a good few mins before it gets warm Bed is comfy but a little small Water in the room would have been a nice touch The lift, too small and a nightmare when you have a few bags....

The room was conveniently placed in building and had en suite facilities. Reception staff were polite and carried bag to room. Room was clean and tidy. Bathroom was a decent size and shower was great. Room was ok to use as a base. No frills.

Toilet in room needs repositioning. I was in room 134, I am five feet two and could just about fit without my knees touching the wall or banging my head on the wall as I stood up. The bathroom is big enough to rejig the toilet.

I had a excellent stay at The Strand Hotel! From the moment I walked in, I could tell the place was incredibly clean and well-maintained. It has a modern vibe, with stylish décor and all the amenities you'd expect from a top-notch hotel. The staff were amazing, friendly and always ready to help. The hotel seems recently refurbished, so everything feels fresh and up-to-date. I also have to give a shoutout to the bar and lounge; it’s an excellent spot to unwind with a great atmosphere and delicious drinks. Overall, I had an excellent experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

I was upgraded to a double room as my shower didn't work - nice friendly staff - room was comfortable- daily offering of room service - parking nearby

There was a v noisy couple in the room next to my upgrade room who woke me up constantly during nine night with loud talking/phone calls but a word with the night porter stopped that:) inthink there should be a strict rule of quietness from 11pm- 7am
