Excellent breakfast with a wide menu. We liked the fact that guests at round one large table which facilitated a friendly atmosphere where we could discuss local places of interest which one could visit etc Friendly and attentive hosts who recognised guests needs and expectations. Ceiling fan in bedroom kept the room cool

Carol & Ceri went above & beyond as hosts. This is an amazing bed & breakfast. They went out of their way to accommodate us on several occasions and made our trip overseas that much better. The bedroom was so cozy and there is a beautiful backyard to sit down and relax in. Breakfast was great and always punctual! Would definitely recommend to others. We also loved having their 3 dogs around!

Was hard to get shampoo etc. out of the shower dispensers but that’s the smallest thing i could think of and would still rate 10/10!

A wonderful stay as always. The owners really care about their guests and this b&b is welcoming, spotlessly clean and has everything you could possibly need. It is also perfectly placed to explore the charming towns and villages of the area

Carol & Ceri have thought about everything. Tea & coffee in room, TV, WiFi, lush bathroom, lots of hooks & clothes storage. And a fabulous home cooked breakfast ranging from full English to millennial smashed avocado.

We particularly enjoyed the communal breakfast set-up. There are various cooked options, and they are served with care. The rooms are very well facilitated. Cleanliness standards are high throughout. There is a spacious garden, with friendly dogs.

We used the local bus service, which is great on Sundays, but doesn't run so well during the week!

This review is a bit late but I stayed at Beechwood at the end of April 2022, along with my mother, my uncle and his partner as we were visiting the area for a family wedding. We had booked two rooms. We had arrived very late at night due to unforeseen circumstances and the reception was very warm and welcoming including the decor of the house. One immediately felt at home. It was a real home-from-home with comfy beds, soft thick carpets, and dressing gowns and slippers provided. The attention to detail was that of a 5-star hotel. Aromatherapy product on your bedside table to help one sleep. A mini-fridge provided which came in useful for medication and bottled water was also provided. Tea and coffee facilities, TV, sufficient power points and USB connections and a luggage rack provided. The rooms were well lit and we had the view of a beautifully landscaped and lush garden. The en-suite bathroom had room to place your toiletries. A rain and handheld shower for use and a shower basket (which is not always common in 5-star hotels) to place your shower accessories. A good variety of breakfast options (hot & cold) was provided in a beautifully decorated conservatory. I indulged in a perfectly cooked breakfast. Prior to one's visit you can inform the owners of any allergies or food intolerance. All in all this was an exceptionally pretty guest house and the owners went over and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable by providing a very friendly and cozy atmosphere.

The staircase treads were half carpeted and wooden and this was slightly problematic for my partially sighted mother when navigating the steps. This did not detract from my mother's enjoyment of staying at the B&B.

An excellent breakfast with fresh fruit, and a choice of cooked foods and toast and marmalade

Perhaps a little too much furniture in the bedroom. But the bed was really comfortable.

The breakfasts were wonderful. There were many options from the full English breakfast to porridge with honey and banana. The proprietors are delightful, interesting and very helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. And there is a lovely backyard garden that guests can enjoy. We chose this location in the English countryside because it was a short drive from Glyndebourne Opera which opera-lovers should definitely experience.

There was nothing that I didn’t like.
