The staff were very nice and friendly I got there late evening as the other hotel I booked had not gone through and so when I got there it was no longer available so I booked their other citrus hotel down the road... the room i booked was not available so they said I was upgraded to a twin single room and it was lovely and spacious nice bathroom with lovely shower all round nice vibe with the room and hotel in general. Good value for money.(except the extra £20 a night for my dog,which i think is alot). So yes lovely i thought n booked again for the next night. Which unfortunately was not so gd. I'll leave a review for that night on that booking review.

Location is excellent overlooking the Channel with a number of good restaurants nearby. The room itself was large and well equipped with a king size bed that was very comfortable. The breakfast was quite adequate and now, there are hot cooked options which is a good addition. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The parking at this time of the year was easy with few other vehicles requiring the on road parking. will be a different matter in the summer!

The hotel does look a little tired compared to its neighbours! The separate bathroom was always 'freezing' with a large window and no curtains etc. - minimal privacy. It also really needed a good clean. Dust and cobwebs in particular.

We came to Eastbourne for a short break on a Family occasion and were so impressed with your Staff- in particular Nancy who was charming and fun and Ashley (Hotel Manager?) who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and is a great credit to Citrus. We understand the hotel is recovering from a difficult trading period and can see what has been done to improve the premises- keep up the good work!

....continued from above: though we can see the company is working hard to improve the building etc we feel that your staff might benefit from some 'corporate' wear and maybe Name/Position badges. It's a little bit confusing having Best Western and Citrus brands too?

Location was great. It was on the sea front and close to bars and restaurants. The staff were cheerful and polite and extremely helpful. The Breakfast was tasty and plentiful and Nancy made sure we had a plentiful supply. She was jovial and friendly and was a delight.

It was rather tatty and is in need of renovation. There was no bar where we could have sat and relaxed with a beer or glass of wine. They had a fridge selling bottled beer and other drinks but it’s just not the same.

The room had a great sea view. It was spacious clean and comfortable. Has had a refurb and some areas are very nice, Lovely big TV. The location was perfect, we were opposite the Bistro which is a nice restaurant on the beach. We went to watch the airshow and in the evening watched the fireworks from our room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Reasonable cost for our large family room.

Hair dryer in the room was an old 1950's style one with a pipe which had a hole in it so no point it being there. The bath wood panel spoils the bathroom. The shower mixer was a little difficult to adjust to the right temperature. The table in the entrance area needs chucking out or cleaning. But overall Hotel was ok and we would stay again as the cost for sea front was very reasonable.

The room is very spacious, clean, bed was very comfy, big window(I requested the room with big window) Not identical as the one in the photo but was fine by us. Good size flat screen tv, coffee machine and got the capsules from the reception. staff at the reception were very friendly, smiles on their faces 😎 and they were very helpful. Location was awesome, we loved it so much, restaurants were very close, walking distance, beach walk was very very relaxing..

2 things: Pillows were not very comfy, I have very sensitive neck and I had to sleep with it them. Breakfast: there should have been variety of milk; for example : oat milk ( my husband had the normal milk and he had stomachache for a while) no added sugar stuff for breakfast, options were very limited.

We had a great stay. Family studio was very roomy (grandchild 1 comment - "spacious", grandchild 2 comment - "excellent". Room has everything needed and was perfect for me and my 2 granddaughters. We had a bath with shower and temperature for us was fine. Contintental breakfast with coffee machine, juice and water, cereals, fruit, bread to toast with jams/spreads, mini danish pastries - plenty of choice. RECEPTION STAFF SUPER FRIENDLY AND ACCOMMODATING - a credit to the hotel. I know the prices here will increase as it now gets better and better so glad we stayed when we could afford it. Our stay was lovely.

Very minor gripe - The kettle had a short lead and no electric socket where kettle/cups etc placed so had to be plugged in at socket near bed or on floor. During our stay the radiator valve didnt work so room initially was hot and only 1 window opened to let a little air in. I would say that (due to our fault I believe) the sink blocked and I mentioned it to reception. Before I had time to sit down the maintenance man attended - sorted it out and also put on a new radiator valve while there. Now that is service!!!

Decent sized room, comfy bed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Big thanks to the manager who allowed me to play pool. Was a cool touch from him. If I was to comedown to Eastbourne again, would definitely consider staying at the hotel again.

Room was a bit on the cold side. Wasn't the best situation as we had a 6 month baby with us. Did ask for the boiler to be put on as was advised that it had been put off due to other customers complaining it became too hot.

The friendly service we received. We were greeted by manager Andrew and receptionist Leanne and we couldn’t have had a nicer greeting. Our first time visiting the area and we’ve already booked to go back. Andrew went above and beyond to accommodate us, even offering to carry our bags to our room and fixing our radiator. The rooms were very spacious and clean, they managed to put our two rooms next door to each other which was amazing.

Good location, near all facilities Pleasant comfort room, didn't want to leave the shower. Staff excellent, made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived, Could have had some biscuits with the tea and to have someone at the desk on leaving as I like to give my comments directly to the staff which is always been my custom to do so. (I liked the trike.) I would stay there again

Could have done with another chair since there were two of us. Toilet seat was too low. Could do with a night light
