We were upgraded on arrival, as the restaurant was almost up and running following their recent re-opening. However, we didn't mind as we found some rather good eateries in the area. The view from our room was awesome. The room was sooo comfortable, clean, cosy, safe, and fresh. The staff were so kind and accommodating, and there is even a little lift to go up in - handy for us! Totally recommend this hotel, 100%. We will definitely stay there again if we're down that way. This is definitely a Prince Hotel (to find the Handsome Prince, sometimes you have to kiss a lot of frogs...). Nothing wrong with the room, the bathroom, or the facilities.

Nothing. I am really pleased to say this was one of the exceptions - many hotels aren't even worth wasting time on, as people will try them anyway. But the Alexandra Hotel certainly deserves an awesome rating from my wife and me. Thak you to the staff there for doing a fantastic job of making our stay exceptional.

The hotel is in an excellent location on the waterfront but away from the pier. Lovely sea views from our bedroom window and comfortable beds. Everything was clean and the hotel has been recently refurbished.

The tea making facitilities in the room were functional but with only one teabag per person, a bit minimal. More teabags please! A full English breakfast was offered, which was great, but the alternative continental option could be higher quality. Worth investing in real croissant from a local bakery, for instance.

The staff couldn’t be more helpful. The room was big (and had an unexpected sea view) and the single beds were large and comfortable. The shower was large, perfect temperature and accessible for my elderly Mum. The breakfast had plenty with a good selection.

In a twin room, one bed didn’t have a plug socket nearby so you couldn’t leave your phone on charge and have it in reach. luckily I had a long charger cable that just stretched from the other bed.

Lovely welcoming hotel. Newly refurbished and ideal location for the Tennis! Had a single room with sea view which was adequate - comfortable bed, good bathroom facilities. However, aware that some similar rooms not quite to the same standard! Clearly understaffed as housekeeping was rather hit or miss! Had to ask to have the room serviced! Breakfast not available on booking but was offered on arrival. More than adequate but perhaps a little more expensive than the norm (£15!) Car parking is good but there was some discrepancy over pricing - £3 for a £2.20 daily ticket! Staff however could not be faulted. Extremely pleasant, helpful and accommodating, couldn’t do enough for you. They listened! Thank you for a really pleasant week. Iron out the few niggles and the hotel will thrive! I was more than happy with my stay and will not hesitate to use the hotel in the future!

Please check the linen during housekeeping. I had some rather stained looking towels!! Otherwise refer to above comments.

It was situated exactly where we wanted to be for the Motor Show on the Western Lawns. Our room had been refurbished to a high standard and we had a lovely sea view. Slightly confusing, we still can’t work out whether they serve breakfast as it doesn’t say there is a restaurant in the hotel but it says bed-and-breakfast elsewhere.

There were a couple of negatives, we had out of date milk in the room (which is why my tea tasted off when we got there) but was changed very quickly at Reception. The shower temperature is hard to control and it takes a bit of effort to turn it off.

Returning customers, well catered for family, lovely & clean, decor is lovely, perfect location to the beach, and Winston is such a very helpful and joyful member off staff, that will bend over backwards to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There is plenty of restaurants and town near by and lots to do along the beach front, if your looking for a nice Italian Restaurant I recommend Little Italy which is literally the side street around the corner, and reasonably priced, alongside the fish & chip shop restaurants that you can sit and eat in too 🌞😁really is the Sunshine Coast. There’s nothing not too like.

The hotel situation is superb. Sea is just across the road. Around the corner are 2 fish and chips cafes, an Italian that does a wonderful breakfast and ice-cream. Small shops to purchase some necessities. The pier is only a 10 minute walk. Apart from the scenery, the service was unrivalled. Winston went out of his way to make me feel welcomed. Nothing was too much trouble. He phoned for taxis, made me milky coffee and on checkout day let me use the toilet facites and hang around in the bar area until he phoned for my final taxi to take me to the railway station, which is only 5 minutes away. Definately recommend!!

From before I even checked in, they were willing and able to help - from advising me on parking for my friends to storing my medication (which needs to be chilled). That helpfulness wasn't a one off, all the staff were happy, helpful and good at their jobs. It's amazing how much of a difference it makes! The room was absolutely immaculate when I checked in. If you had told me it was newly decorated, had brand new linen and had been cleaned under the eyes of a particularly terrifying sargent major I'd not have been surprised.

There really wasn't anything wrong - it's a small hotel and I booked a small room, but it was perfectly adequate. I guess if I'm being impractical I would've liked the lift to be larger - but that's only because I was walking around with a massive board game bag on my back.

The owners have clearly spent a lot of money on renovating this hotel. The room on the 3rd floor was clean and comfortable. The BIG Plus, is the hotel's location. The staff were also very helpful

My main niggle was the shower, which i guess being generous, you could say was a good way of saving water, but if you are a 'power shower' person, you won't be impressed. I would also have appreciated a bottle of water in the room as the day i arrived was very hot

staff were really friendly and helpful. Room was lovely and super clean

Breakfast room lacked some atmosphere but this was the only fault!
