Breakfast good choice and lovely food but disappointed with evening meal choice. Considering the atmosphere of Cooden Beach the menu is very basic and nothing exciting at all which is a shame as we really wanted to eat there in the beautiful surroundings. Only one vegetarian choice which was a wrap??
Hotel was obviously full so breakfast was busy with no one meeting and greeting residents so we just had to stand and wait for someone with no where specific to wait. Lovely choice of different breads on show but no labels so couldn't work out which bread was what (E.G Banana bread of Cinnamon bread). The waiter did go and ask Chef but was told the two types but couldn't work out which one was which.. We stayed in the Seahouses which were fine in themselves - unfortunately we stayed on a Friday night and early on Saturday morning lorries were delivering supplies and very noisy with it. Also there was someone staying beneath us with a very noisy yappy dog!! We did ask for a change of room as we were staying a few nights but apparently nothing was available.

Everything about the hotel was gorgeous, although I found out on arrival that booking.com had messed up the reservations and I ended up missing the beginning part of the hen do that I had arranged, to try sort out the mistake. There were not enough rooms booked in the system and the rooms that were booked, were wrong … even though it was all correct on my app. Luckily the hotel wasn’t fully booked and they were able to sort out some extra rooms, otherwise some of my guests would not have had a room! :o( The hotel said it was booking.com that had booked it wrong…. If this hadn’t happened, I wouldn’t have one single complaint as everything else was perfect…

The room was clean and well maintained, we were on the first floor with a sea view but no balcony, it would have been too cold to sit on the balcony anyway. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. Pro and cons the railway station was right next to the hotel so easy access without worrying about parking. The evening meal was delicious very good selection and everyone enjoyed it.
Breakfast was an extra cost and was expensive at £18.50 per person and really wasn't worth that money. Pro and cons some of our party that faced the railway station were kept awake by the trains going past

My wife and I have been staying at the Cooden Beach Hotel at least once a year for over 18 years—and we absolutely love the place. So far this year, we've already enjoyed three nights there in March and another night in April. The food in the beachside restaurant is excellent, as is the décor throughout the beautifully renovated hotel. The only disappointment is that the hotel no longer has a swimming pool. We particularly like the recently introduced fixed-price menu and the Dinner, Bed, and Breakfast option when booking—it offers great value and convenience. The standard of service is consistently high. The young team in the restaurant are always polite, helpful, and friendly, and we enjoy chatting with them. We especially appreciated talking with Richard, a bright and engaging young man who we believe has a promising future in hospitality. Lastly, the hotel’s location—right on the beach—couldn't be better. There’s not a great deal to do nearby, but we love taking long seaside walks into the town of Bexhill, which suits us perfectly. We’re sure it won’t be long before our next stay at this lovely place.
We used to enjoy using the swimming pool and previous associated facilities but, as part of the major renovations that have taken place recently, this area has become a beauty spa and the swimming pool no longer exists.

We received a warm, welcome and the reception staff were very helpful. We enjoyed the terrace with sea views and a good choice of drinks and again staff were attentive and helpful. Richard in particular worked hard to ensure all the guests were looked after. Our room was spotless and comfortable. Nice to have heated towel rail which meant no damp towels during our stay. I’m fussy about pillows and they could have been better but a minor thing. Food was great and we had dinner at the hotel and we enjoyed the breakfast too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - thank you

Lovely quaint beachfront Hotel. Newly decorated, very stylish. Friendly staff, especially on reception. Single room actually had a comfy double bed. Room was snug but comfy with huge shower room. Dinner was fab goats cheese quiche, big portion. Breakfast was very good with Smoked Salmon on buffet continental selection. I should have requested a room on a lower floor as found the stairs a challenge, and next time would pay extra for seaview. Train station right next to hotel a bonus, no noise disturbance.
Stairs a challenge, I should have requested a lower floor.

The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The food was very good. Room 205 was comfortable and quiet. The convenient location for the station and beach.
As one who has mobility problems at 91 years of age the lack of hand holds, other than the door handle to the shower and mixtnaer/hot water control, was worrying. The en suite floor tiles are slippery when wet. Similarly the gloss painted handrails to the balusters makes them slippery. The absence of a lift is a disadvantage and when we revisit I will ask for a ground floor room. Despite all this we did enjoy our stay.

The rooms were very comfortable, cosy ,very cute (we had three single rooms and loved them all) especially the sea views. The breakfast was - the BEST - perfect eggs royal- and anything we wanted from the buffet- all very tasty. The spa and treatments were superb. All the staff were so friendly and we had such a pleasant stay.
The sauna could have been hotter. (Luckily the steam room was very warm). Also I wouldn't recommend the spa dinner 3 course dinner package because this is actually a lunch menu (unless its summertime and maybe this would be OK). However the restaurant staff were fantastic and they offered us £30 off the a la carte instead which we were very happy with- so perhaps go for the package and request this instead.

This hotel is in a great location, right on the beach and around 30 mins walk into town. The staff were friendly and helpful, and when we came back in the evening after going to a concert we went to the bar for a drink. The bar had a really good vibe. The room was lovely clean and the bed comfortable and the shower was great! We had a great selection at breakfast which was hot and tasty. The staff contacted me when we got home because I left a t.shirt behind which they sent to me free of charge The service was above and beyond my expectations. Overall a great experience and we will be back!
Nothing, it was all good!

The hotel was as expected but the staff were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble and they were all friendly but efficient and professional. Our daughter and son-in-law joined us for a meal on my birthday with their two large dogs and as the weather wasn’t suitable to dine on the terrace they accommodated us inside. The provision of this space made for a memorable birthday. It is unusual to find staff of this calibre from housekeeping, reception, as well as bar staff and waiting staff and all those who are unseen. They were all superb. Training and management have done a wonderful job. Thank you.
We could not fault anything.
