It was a good stay. The room (3), a single ensuite, was a little smaller than I expected but it had all you would need, with quality bedding, towels, a comfortable bed, chair, with cushions, along with other things you would expect like a chest of drawers and a wardrobe (cupboard). The room had tea/coffee making facilities, which were replenished daily. I didn’t try the breakfast during my stay but upon exciting the property in the mornings, the aroma coming from the breakfast room smelt good and tempting. The location of Tower House 1066 is very good. An easy 15-minute walk, downhill, to the train station and to the seafront, a little further on. You don’t have to walk though as there is a frequent bus service (20 and 22), which runs about every ten minutes. The buses seem to start in Hastings town centre, then run along the seafront road and then turn into London Road at St Leonards, which leads past the station and up to a stop close to where the B&B is located. The buses follow the same route to Hastings. A few minutes’ walk from the B&B is a Lidl supermarket and in a different direction, with a slightly longer walk, is an ASDA supermarket, at Silverhill. If coming from central Hastings (or Eastbourne) on the bus, you can also catch the 99 bus which takes a different route to the ASDA supermarket. It also passes the Lidl on its journey, as well. Then it is a short walk from either to the accommodation. Often, when I stay in a hotel or B&B, I encounter arrogant people who slam doors, come back at all hours shouting and yelling, TV’s up loud or talking loudly into their mobile phones for long periods. I had no such issues when staying at the Tower House. In fact, it was so quiet I heard more bird song (my room overlooked lots of greenery at the back) than any faint sounds which could be heard, occasionally, from guests in adjoining rooms or other parts of the B&B.

Lovely old house and garden with character.staff were helpful and friendly if they werent at reception you just pressed a bell and a staff member would appear. Room was big enough for my grand daughter and I. Only had Breakfast 1 day out of the 3 as we had other plans.it was nice with cereals juice toast and then choice of cooked breakfast jams etc with the toast and my own coffee pot which i liked. Comfy bed good shower Tv usually ok flickered on n off the first night was hardly in the room so it didnt really matter. Tea coffee kettle no hair dryer but i asked at reception and they kindly gave me one. Lots of hangers and 2 chairs in the room.
Only thing id change is the wooden headboard as when i was sat up reading if i moved it would bang against the wall i put a cushion behind it in the end so that it didnt annoy other guests. Everything was great thats the only thing id change n very minor.

My room was comfortable and had an outside patio area (room 14 on ground floor). Very quiet.
My shower wasnt working when I got there so reported to reception. Got resolved the same day. Felt that the garden area could have done with a tidy up. There was small piles of washing in the conservatory area which made the place untidy. Dont think breakfast should be paid seperately. On 1st morning we were there had run out of orange juice. Its the weekend and you have customers should have been stocked up!

Staff were great, the room was perfectly adequate & very clean. Breakfast was really nice , especially the fried mushrooms! Overall, I'd definitely stay there again.
As a smoker, I appreciate that I was given a room with it's own access out onto a deck, where smoking is permitted. However, that deck sorely needs a bit of TLC & a couple of functioning ashtrays would improve the appearance, because at time of writing, there was only one mounted ashtray which was either overflowing or, I suspect, the bottom had rusted away, which left a small mound of stompies (dog-ends) on the floor.

Breakfast not bad & was served quickly, location was good as close to the sea, parking was a slight issue as there seems to be an old abandoned camper van directly outside, the garden was a nice added bonus which included a small smoking hut but could do with a little tlc, overall fair value for money.
The above mentioned campervan dumped right outside, there are a few areas that could do with a bit of restoration here & there such as cracked tiles & chipped paint but overall not too bad for the money.

The clean facilities, and well maintained garden was brilliant during the hot summer period. This was the second time staying at the tower and it was just as good as my first stay in 2022. The staff members were very polite and helpful. They had allowed us to have our own drinks and the clerk even took my beer and placed them in the fridge so they were nice and cold. The garden room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Very good location to the oval within 15 minute walk. This hotel is a gem.

Good location, quiet road, very comfortable room. We could have had breakfast, for an extra cost, but decided to eat out. It is possible to walk to the sea and into Old Hastings, but it is quite a way, and uphill all the way back!
It sounded like the bathroom fan in the room next door had been left on all night. Upon checking I’d not left anything behind, I noticed some items of rubbish under the bed that had been missed by the housekeeping staff, and some patches of black mould were visible on the bathroom ceiling, but generally the room was clean and comfortable.

We stayed here for a week and had a lovely stay. Everyone at the property was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had everything we needed. It is in a good location not far from the train station and the town of St Leonards. A nice 20 minute walk along the front to Hastings too.We had a cream tea one afternoon which the owners do for £10. The table was set up in the garden for us and the tea and scones were delicious would highly recommend. They have not been doing them long but it was lovely and is offered to the public as well as guests so for the price if you are local or staying as a guest I definitely recommend you visit and book. A lovely setting the garden is very pretty and we were luck enough to have the owner James play the guitar for us and sing some songs. He was very friendly and made us laugh an unexpected extra which made our afternoon.😃 I can not speak highly enough about our stay. Thank you to The Tower House 1066 we will definitely be returning in the future.

Location Lovely comfy room. Lovely decoration. Very clean. Large clean bathroom with bath and shower. Accommodating hosts. Let me eat my takeaway in conservatory, got me cutlery and were really nice. Nice and quiet, no noise heard from my room.
Not a dislike just a suggestion that would have been nice to have breakfast a little earlier as I had to leave for work before 8 and breakfast was served after 8.

Easy to find, plenty of free street parking and staff really friendly and helpful. Was also perfect location to stay whilst visiting our friends in St Leonards on Sea and Hastings for a day trip before returning to London.
Nothing really except heating was on but once we found the temperature valve on radiator we were able to adjust the room temperature to suit us✅
