I loved the fact that it looks like a traditional B&B but has all the facilities you would get from a hotel. It is the perfect location for the beach, shops and train station. The staff were exceptional and went above and beyond in terms of service as opposed to what one usually gets in a hotel. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with every single thing you could ask for including first rate local butcher's sausages and homemade marmalade!
Only a handful of rooms have a sea view and unfortunately the only twin room they had didn't have one but the host who showed us in said that she'd call the manager and ask if we could have the triple room (1 super king size & 1 single bed) on the top floor as it had a sea view and was empty for the days we were staying. Luckily the very kind owner said that we could have it & only pay a little over the price of our twin room which I thought was incredibly generous of her. I would add that there are rather a lot of stairs(and no lift because it is a very old building) so be prepared for that or alternatively request a room on the ground floor or one of the first few floors just in case!

The hosts are really good and dedicated,The location is great.
Breakfast is usually the most exciting part of a bed and breakfast stay, but in this case, it felt a bit disappointing. The juice was only served after asking, and came in a glass so small it was gone in three sips. The toast was not great quality — dry and rubbery within minutes. The quantity and overall variety were very average. On a positive note, the coffee was excellent, and the fresh fruit was genuinely good. Recommendation: It would make a real difference to improve the toast quality, offer juice straight away in a proper glass, and consider increasing the overall portions. Small changes that could truly elevate the experience.

Our stay at 17 Wilmington was great. This started from when we arrived - our greeter Tony was so welcoming. We were made to feel right at home. We were given a brief history of Eastbourne, and places to eat were also recommended. The following morning at breakfast , we were welcome by Janine and the team who prepared a sumptuous meal. We would surely recommend to our friends and family as a place to stay and we will definitely be returning. Thank you all for making our weekend break a wonderful experience. Phiona (the new Mona:-)

We are a family of 7, 3 adults plus 4 children. Our stay at this beautiful B&B was brilliant. Beautiful clean and comfortable rooms, we booked 1 family and 2 double rooms. All rooms were decorated and dressed with the style of the original building. We booked breakfast, which was an absolute feast and catered for the children. We definitely thought the price was right . All staff were extremely polite and courteous, very helpful in regard to knowledge of the area, patience with our excitable children and loved our 9 week old. We absolutely loved it here.

Everything, I had done a lot of research and read many glowing reviews so was expecting high standards of accommodation, food and service. The reviewers were spot on, it’s a beautiful B&B with luxurious decor and furnishings. I particularly liked the heavy curtains and tasteful furniture, in keeping with the age of the property. The bathroom was sparkling with lots of thoughtful extras and lovely generous sized white fluffy towels. The breakfast was simply outstanding and the staff were lovely.
Our room was one of the smaller ones and the bed had been positioned in order to give maximum space, but this meant one side had no bedside table. A very minor irritation.

17 Wilmington Square was an absolute delight of a place to stay in. Spent 3 nights there with my teenage daughter and we absolutely enjoyed it. The room was big and very well maintained. Large bed with additional window sofa and 2 single armchairs. Very spotless bathroom. I'm very OCD so it was such a breath of fresh air to be in a very clean environment. The Breakfast was awesome daily and thd staff were so pleasant and helpful especially Ben and the lovely ladies who made our food. I am definitely returning and i have recommended them to my older Brother. Thank you 17 Wilmington Square
Nothing. They were spot on

The location is very central, and we were offered help with our bags both on arrival and departure. We had a lovely room which was very comfortable. It was equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer, the TV and plenty of storage for clothes. There was a good choice for breakfast and the Full English was delicious. There was also a nice lounge available for guests.
The loo seat in our room would not stay up as the flushing handle was in the way. That's not particularly convenient for chaps.

The bedroom was large, well-maintained and very clean. It was easy to regulate the room temperature, as we could adjust the radiator and open or close the window. We managed to find a parking space in the road outside the B&B, and the parking permit allowed us to leave the car there without costing too much. It is far enough away from the centre of town and the pier etc. that you should be able to find somewhere to park nearby. Breakfast was excellent, and all cooked to order. All the staff we met we friendly.

The owners of the B&B, Janine and Tony are hands on and get involved with the guests , Janine saw me and my dog in and took us up to the room. Tony was serving breakfast. All the staff I met are super efficient and friendly, so helpful and made me feel at home. The atmosphere is warm and the decor tasteful. Really clean and comfortable room with ensuite bathroom. Breakfast is delicious ! Location of this B&B is perfect , right across the road from the beach. Close to the pier and lots of attractions to go sightseeing, you can be busy all day. Because of the location I was able to pack in alot in 2 days ! There is even a cosy communal lounge to sit in and read, toilet is off the lounge so you don't need to go up and down to your room. I would definitely go back, it's lovely

What a find! We visit Eastbourne often for the tennis and this was a lovely old building with original features which was modernised to give everything we needed. We were upgraded to a superior room and had a fabulous night’s sleep in the very comfy bed. Breakfast was amazing, loads of choice from fruit to the full English including vegetarian options. Owners and staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Only 5 minutes walk from the tennis at Devonshire Park and also from the Towner Gallery. Station about 10 minutes walk away and the beach 5/10 minutes.
All was good.
