Staff were friendly, whatever you requested you didn’t have to wait long for. Reception smelt lovely, bedroom and bathroom were clean. I wasn’t feeling well on the morning of leaving and they allowed us to stay an extra hour. The lift was a godsend for me. All in all it was a good bed and breakfast and the negatives were only minor things.

Had to ring everytime you needed something as there was never really anyone around. no tea bags, just coffee, but they did bring me some very quickly when asked. no bottles of water like showed, the sink in bathroom was very small and you had to get your head under the small space to brush teeth, kept blocking as well. No Light outside bedroom door so had to struggle to put code in.

Great comfortable room, clean and I enjoyed the complimentary sweets and biscuits to go alongside the hot beverages. Ideal location right near the beach and local town shopping centre. Had the pleasure to speak with the owner who was very amiable and explained any issue(s) and the instructions for the entrance to the accommodation was clear and precise. Spot on!

Nothing really except sometimes the shower was too hot even when I turned it on a low temperature. Atm there is ongoing mobility issues that have become increasingly worse for myself and I would suggest maybe for other people with mobility problems would be to try and make another sort of step at the entrance because the bottom one is quite high/low depending on entry/exit. But on the whole a great, highly recommended place to stay and phenomenal value for money.

Great Location. STaff very good and helpful especially Manager Muhammad polite and receptive to feedback, keen to satisy customers. Provided parking permit at a small charge per day. Found Parking in front of hotel. Good size room on ground floor.

Shower room and toilet small. Hand basin small. Breakfast ould be improved. Understand recent new owner and staff hence teethimg problems. Manager has right attitude and keen to satisy clients and make improvements.

The "check-in" was a little unusual. There are no staff to meet and greet; instead several emails were sent in advance and key codes were given for the initial opening of the main door and bedroom doors; there is a key card waiting on the dressing table which can be used thereafter. The room was a very small single but they managed to get an ensuite toilet and shower and a tiny wardrobe space. There was tea and coffee and lots of extras, including lots of milk and even some complimentary sweets and chocolates.For £3 a day you can perchase a parking permit which can be used all over Eastbourne but I parked my car right outside the hotel including for the whole day after checking out when I'd moved it to the seafront. Breakfast was exceptional - one of the best I've had at any hotel. It was a chilly day in late May and I was pleasantly surprised that the heating was on in my room . The breakfast staff were lovely, helpful and very efficient. It was a very short walk to the Congress theatre and to the pier, seafront and town centre. There was a guest lounge and books available to read

I was very happy with everything.

Breakfast had a great choice of starters with a good choice of cooked food and afters. Good room with tea making also good bathroom and shower. Location was very good for getting to the tennis tournament. Also close to food outlets for evening meals a few yards away.

Of course being close to roads meant that traffic noise was bad until about midnight then OK. Some people walking past late at night need to learn not to talk so loud as sound travel 3 times more clear at night.

The Mowbray was in a great location for the seafront and restaurants. Parking was easy aswell as long as you have a permit. Angela was brilliant....breakfast was absolutely amazing. The main building was lovely as was the lounge.

We were one of 2 couples staying and we were put in Room 15 which looked nothing like the photos. Now considering we were supposed to have had a room upgrade to a deluxe king size......we were disappointed to say the least. Bed was huge. Room was tired and scruffy.....definitely NOT deluxe. Shower head was loose and electrics on the top of shower unit open to water so beware. Electrical items....hairdryer and iron...hadn't been pap tested since 2019!

Almost across the street from the tennis center for the Eastbourne tennis tournament. A block from the beach walk. Ten minutes walk to the pier. Five minutes walk to the bandstand; great brass band concert and fireworks.

No one on site. Doesn’t serve breakfast anymore. Room smelled like mildew. No a/c. Done away with honesty bar.

Location was good close to seafront and amenities Lovely and warm the bed was huge and really comfy We wasn’t told upgraded to a suite which was lovely and spacious The staff are really lovely and very helpful would definitely recommend

The place had a relaxed atmosphere. The bedroom was clean and comfortable, with coffee and tea facilities and little treats! I had a couch to sit on during the day, and there was plenty of cupboard space. The ensuite bathroom had all that was required. The initial passcode entry system and the use of a keycard thereafter, was simple to negotiate..I LOVED the location, being so near the sea and theatres. The town centre was within walking distance. Breakfast was very adequate, with the hot food cooked to order, and staff polite, but informal and friendly. Everywhere looked clean and well kept. I didn't have time to use the lounge during my stay, but it looked comfortable and welcoming!

I have stayed here before and it still is lovely. Nice perks in the room, such as the coffee machine, tea, coffee, biscuits, etc. Also, a fan was in our room on arrival, which was very much needed and appreciated. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choice. Huge bed.

The door to our room (room 14) was so sticky, and therefore really hard to open every time. The sheets on the bed didn’t quite cover the large bed and by morning, our bodies were touching the mattress. Perhaps fitted base sheets may be better. A bigger bin in the room would also be useful.
