The location is great! Also, the beach is literally outside the hotel. There are restaurants, cafes, a pub and an off license shop around 2 minutes walk. The pier is about 10-15 minutes away. The bus that takes you to the cliffs stops outside the hotel, which was very convenient.

The shower head in my sjowe was either too big or too heavy for the shower stand, and it kept falling off when I had a shower. It hit me in the head a few times. The water pressure in the shower also wasn't strong, and it made taking a shower just a miserable process. The reception is only open from 2pm until 9pm/9:30pm, so you can't really raise any issues if you are out all day, like I was. The lift was broken, and my room was on the 2nd floor. As a disabled person, getting up & down the stairs was a bit difficult. I didn't mind having the sink in the room, but the tap was broken. The matress was super soft, which isn't my favourite. Lastly, the decor is quite outdated, and carpets have seen better days.

The staff member I spoke to on both occasions was extremely helpful and pleasant. He even upgraded my room! The hotel is ideally situated on the seafront, had good ventilation and a stunning sea view. As there was no kitchen on site, I was hesitant to order the breakfast, but it was delivered to me in the morning and was sizeable and filled me up nicely. The room was nice and cosy and the bed and pillows were extremely comfy (until I saw the below)

There was a couple of things that let me down, one of which was huge: there were two bed bugs on my bed. I did get rid of the ones I saw, but it did make me question the cleanliness alot. The only other gripe I have was the shower head; the mount was broken so I had to hold the shower as I used it

Honestly, for the money I paid this place is phenomenal! You don’t expect such value at such a prime location. Sea front no less. 2 nights for under £100! I treated myself to a bigger room, as it was still well within my budget. I don’t know if I needed to have, the size of the room was amazing as was the bathroom. Very clean, very comfortable, everything I could need. I mean, it’s not 4 star hotel, but as I say the value for money ESPECIALLY considering the location just blows my mind over and over again. You can’t find anything for this price anywhere, leave alone for this location and so well kept.

The smallest thing which isn’t the end of the world to me, the shower pressure was poor, but it worked and whatever. It was fine.

Very good location, nice view from the rooms facing the sea. The quality of the room in relation to the price was appropriate. There was no damp and there were described extras to the rooms. It was also quiet, although we were before the season. I think it is worth recommending the Oban hotel for rent to other guests who are looking for something in a lower price range, but other aspects of the hotel are very good such as the view, location. Everything is quite close - especially to start the expedition to the cliffs. The sea is almost in front of the hotel, only a road separates it... Best regards

I love this hotel. It is right on the seafront, opposite the wish tower, and the sea view rooms are lovely as a result. It is probably classed as a ‘budget hotel’, but I’ve stayed in several rooms that have all been comfortable and clean. On my recent stay, I was upgraded so I appreciated that. Every staff member I’ve interacted with has been lovely. It’s my first choice hotel in Eastbourne due to value for money, location, and friendly/relaxed vibe.

There isn’t a 24/7 desk but in some ways I liked this too as it gives the hotel a quieter feel.

the breakfast included was a good come - on and that's why i bought; i was a little taken aback by what it turned out to be, but not really worried. i suggest you find a clever way of giving some sort of indication about how you will deal with breakfast; i don't think that it will matter too much to travelers like us, who were quite happy to use the breakfast as it was and indeed we took some with us as unfinished in the room

nothing was wrong for the price. we liked the view and the bed; TV was ok, a bit on the small side but no problem for people who want a well placed room for a good night's sleep and pleasant awakening to the sunshine and the view. ; the toilet/shower is pretty small and some larger persons might find that i bit daunting, but the shower, very simple to use, was excellent - probably one of the best i've met in most hotels. we would come again if in the area.

A seaside view is always amazing to wake up to, and I had a nice single room at a very cheap price.

I was fine with it, but the hotel is completely dead. There is no entertainment in the evening and no breakfast buffet, although you can order a breakfast in a box. Also, the carpet is stained and the tap leaks a bit. But good shower and comfortable bed. If you are looking for a bit of luxury, don't book here. If you just want a cheap stay with a beautiful view, this is really good.

The property is in a great location on the beachfront and a less than 10 minute walk to the pier and town centre. The member of staff at reception was very helpful and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. Overall, good value for money. There is a NCP car park which is a five minute walk from the hotel which offers cheap parking for long periods of time since the Hotel does not offer parking.

Some interior work could be done to improve the appearance of the reception area, however can’t really complain since the price was so good.

Superb location, beautiful rooms, welcoming reception and the receptionist Zaid was very kind and helpful. The sea view was stunning. Close by the delightful Bistro Pierre, next to the Wish Tower, serves from breakfast to dinner. Opposite is a Beach Shack serving tea, coffee, cake and delicious ice-cream. Around the corner is a charming little street with shops, bistros and atmosphere. It's a short walk to Holywell along the promenade and then up on to the South Downs.

I like a firmer (Premier Inn-style) mattress, because it's better for backs. But fine for guests who enjoy a softer bed. There was nothing else I didn't like.

We checked in for one night last night, the price was very reasonable, we had a single and double with sea views. There was tea and coffee in the rooms , and a wonderful view as the sun rose. The staff where polite the bedding was clean and fresh on with a shower gel soap and shampoo each. Comfortable stay. We would stay again. The hotel is not a luxury establishment but it's clean and comfortable for the price so we are happy to stay again. We stayed in rooms 19 and 21 and where happy with them.
