The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable. The location was easy for access to the beach and local shops and cafes. Although parking was tight, we found a free space very near the hotel on both nights we stayed.

The change of owners of the property in the week before we arrived caused some confusion about whether we had already paid or not. Very difficult to make phone contact with the outgoing owners but resolved by booking.com

Could use a light outside for late night,main door lock would be good to open with 1 hand,key fob doesn’t work properly. Even though we put the do not disturb sign on the door as for 2 nights we didn’t need anything they still came in to empty the trash bin while we were away,being a pet friendly location could provide a water bowl for the dog and a plate to put the food on

Breakfast was a real shock as i was expecting just a few cold options and it turned out to be an 'everything you could possibly want' breakfast !! Massively impressive.

My room although I was not expecting too much for a single occupancy was okay although the next room with the window open was a little noisy and the shower was a challenge for a 'tallish' person !!

Comfy room with fridge and goodies. Any time access to large lounge (with drinks, gooies, and books and games) and breakfast room, so don't have to remain stuck in the bedroom. Very dog friendly. Very good breakfast- buffet 'continental' includes hot food, eggs and sausages. ( I had the biggest choc muffin I have ever seen ). Very homely. Nicely decorated. 2 mins to front, 5-10 mins to centre, on street parking.

I imagine on street parking might be a bit of an issue at peak season but there are plenty of side roads.

Lovely welcome on arrival and we had a great room, the bathroom was a good size supplied with complimentary soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The TV and WiFi both worked well and the bed was a good size and very comfortable. We stayed on a Friday night and didn't have any issues with noise, such a quiet location yet only a short walk from the seafront,. The buffet breakfast had an amazing range of options and catered for vegans very well indeed, which was much appreciated. We only saw one member of staff, but she was brilliant, so friendly, so helpful and made our great stay even better. The hotel has a lovely lounge area too, if we'd stayed longer, we would have enjoyed relaxing in there too.

The overall experience was good. The facilities in the room are well thought out, a good range of drink options - including ground coffee which was a lovely touch. We travelled with our dog, who was made very welcome I booked the room to be close to the start of the Beachyhead Marathon. It was in an excellent spot for this, and also for a nice easy walk to pubs in town for dinner etc. Breakfast is normally from 7:30, but the guys had started breakfast an hour early to accommodate us runners staying. Really thoughtful. Thank you, it was really appreciated.

Cherry Tree Guests house is ideally situated . With apple roadside unrestricted parking . It is a few minutes walk to the sea front . Around 5 minutes walk to the theatres and under 15 minutes walk to Eastbourne town centre . Lovely warm welcome from the owners who care about their guests . Excellent facilities lovely comfortable well furnished accommodation very clean . Lovely lounge for guests to use with free tea and coffee available . Lovely gardens to sit in . Nice extra touch there is a honesty hamper with assorted quality snacks and drink to purchase at very reasonable prices . Breakfast was excellent good quality local products cooked fresh to order , Would definitely recommend this guest house to family and friends and would be returning in the future .

Wow! We were a group of 12 South Downs Way walkers. We loved Cherry Trees Guest House and were looked after incredibly well by Emily and Flora. The absolute highlight for us was the breakfast - way way more than the standard 'continental' that we were expecting and had experienced at other places on our route. Just 5 mins walk from restaurants and bars and 15 mins walk from the main bus stop / station. Thank you. We would highly recommend Cherry Trees Guest House and hope to return

Location - amazing for town and seafront. Breakfast - bonus as stated continental but had sausages and scrambled egg. All sorts of bread and pastries. Room was small and bathroom very small but ok. Faced garden which was quiet. Bathroom toiletries, lovely and water etc in room.

Very small room and even smaller bathroom but can't be helped. The inside extractor fans left on in rooms can be heard in other rooms. But not a huge issue.

Breakfast was excellent. No complaints at all. Room was good. Bed was comfortable and warm. Bathroom was good. Parking was good, but could have done without the roadworks blocking me out of it for a day. Location was ideal; close to the town centre and beach, but far enough away from both to avoid the noise from the former and the strong winds and salt deposits from the latter.

The shower seemed to be stuck on hot without any way to adjust the temperature. Room was a little cramped around the bed, and could have used a chair to hold my jacket, or more space to dry motorbike gear.
