We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at the Manse B&B. Starting with the beautiful house, which is carefully and tastefully decorated, the very clean, well-kept, comfortable and spacious room, the delicious breakfast freshly prepared and cooked by John every morning (plus: wonderful homemade granola), Anne's great suggestions for walks and visits surrounding Eastbourne - and we could go on. But most of all, it was the two hosts that truly made us feel at home during our whole stay. Only repeating but truly meaning what others have written before: This was the best BnB we ever stayed at. Dear Anne and John, thank you both so much for such a wonderful time!

Fabulous area, house, room and hosts. This was somewhere we had looked at a few times, and so we were pleased to make our dates match availability finally. The room we used was very large, comfortable and with an immaculate en-suite. Lots of little touches from quality toiletries, chocolates, biscuits, tea, coffee etc. A small chiller with fresh milk for drinks and bottles of water was very useful. Beautiful breakfast room with fantastic cereal, yoghurt and fruit salad and great cooked options. The house and gardens are beautiful. Homemade marmalade was divine. The area is very quiet and we had a good night's sleep every night we were there. Easy walk into town for food and shopping and other good local options. It doesn't take long to walk to the seafront either so you don't have to have a car with you if you stay here.

The moment John and Annie opened the door to their sumptuous house, I knew we had chosen well. The house is spacious and spotlessly clean and there are original features galore. Annie and John are a delightful couple who just want their guests to have a wonderful stay... and we certainly did. Our room was huge and furnished beautifully. The little fridge was very useful and the cookies and chocolates much appreciated! The bathroom was very spacious with two sinks, a free standing shower and a large bath, plus there were robes and footwear for guests should they want them. I love the location of the house, so peaceful yet just a short walk to town, theatres and the beach. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful with a great choice of hot or cold options, plus an enormous fruit bowl which we were invited to help ourselves to at any time of day. Without doubt, the best B&B we have ever stayed at and we hope to return soon, but next time it will be for longer as two nights was simply not long enough! Thank you John and Annie for sharing your lovely home, it was a privilege to meet you both.

A really cozy retreat on our travels. What a beautiful home and you become part of it from the moment you arrive. Anne and John go out of their way to fulfill every wish of the guest. Breakfast was fantastic and very flexible. All products fresh and of the best quality. Being the only guests at the time, we could park our car in the drive. Very convenient.

It is quite a long way out of the town centre. However, there are quite a few restaurants within walking distance near the station. Driving down to the seafront and parking up proved rather difficult. Which is not the fault of Anne and John of course.

Really enjoyed our stay at The Manse! John and Anne were very welcoming, friendly and are happy to cater to your individual needs. Breakfast was lovely, with nice choices. Fruit available was delicious as was the cooked breakfasts. Anne and John are very accomodating with any dietary requirements. Very friendly atmosphere, with lots of tips on best places to visit etc. Lots of printed maps available to borrow, whether you decide to explore locally or further afield. Cant wait to return! Nothing, except that the toilet in the room we stayed was difficult to flush at times, but Anne did say the bathroom is getting an upgrade very soon. This was a minor issue, nothing to complain about.

I had a wonderful stay and would not hesitate to return. The room was beautiful and the bedroom and bathroom were sparkling clean. Everything you need and more - yummy biscuits, bottled water and fresh milk in the fridge (which I really appreciated as long life milk tastes awful in my opinion). The breakfast was delicious- a wide range of cereals including home made muesli and granola (yum), fruit and yoghurt, lots of choice for cooked breakfast also. And of course toast with John’s yummy homemade jam and marmalade. I was made to feel so welcome. Thank you!!

A Period Property decorated tastefully. Our room also in fact the whole of the accommodation was everything one could ask for. Exceptionally Clean . Our wonderful hosts John & Annie could not have made us more welcome. Our exceptional breakfast with home made preserves /muesli /granola. Plus a cook breakfast again was everything one could ask for. So much so we have already booked to return in 2025.

I had the best time here with my friend. The house was very nice, very close to the train station and the sea, quiet, and pleasant! The experience far exceeded our expectations. The luckiest part of the whole trip was discovering the Manse house. Anne was very lively and helpful with her advice on our trip. John was very patient, showing us the room in detail, and the breakfast was super delicious. If a five-star hotel experience is great, I'd say the Manse is worth 10 stars. Highly recommend!

This property is in a great location - close enough to walk into the city of Eastbourne, and restaurants/cafes, but in a lovely quiet neighbourhood. The room we had was a generous size and it was well equipped. There was a good selection for breakfast and it was beautifully presented. The hosts were friendly and very helpful with suggestions of things to see and do in the area.

The water pressure in the shower wan’t great, but is was OK.

The Manse is perfect in every way. Annie and John are fantastic hosts, ensuring you have the best stay possible. The superking room I stayed in with my partner was stunning, as was the rest of the house. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and all furnishings and furniture were top quality. Having fresh milk and bottled water in a fridge was a bonus, as were the yummy biscuits and chocolates, left each day. InkThe room itself was enormous, as was the bathroom. Everywhere was scrupulously clean, bright and delightful. There were lots of information leaflets and Annie and John were very knowledgeable about places to visit. The breakfasts were delicious, with lots of choice. As previously mentioned by other guests, both the homemade muesli and granola were particularly tasty; as were the homemade preserves. Parking was never a problem either, as there were always spaces directly outside, with no restrictions whatsoever. The town centre took about ten minutes to walk into and the seafront, fifteen. I could wax lyrical about this sumptuous bed and breakfast for a very long time but, suffice it to say, it was perfect in every way and Annie and John are two of the nicest, friendliest people we have ever met. I cannot recommend The Manse highly enough. 5 star accommodation, run by 5 star hosts. Thank you both so much.
