This is a marvellous and comfortable warm safe and clean seafront property. The view to the pier is just lovely. We are on the third floor overlooking the English Channel which was very gorgeous. The staff are all really friendly charming and professional and the breakfast was really great value for money mini. We stayed there for two nights at the weekend and there were lots of couples there. It’s a very cute romantic seafront property and you can park for 24 hours for about £2.20 they will give you the voucher at the reception when you check in. You can walk to everywhere in town and there’s loads of great independent shops and boutiques and High Street stores and coffee shops and pubs and restaurants and theatres and museums. Smashing Little town and a smashing little hotel. Highly recommended would definitely return.

I think it needs saying that it’s incredibly difficult in the UK at the moment due to decades of abandonment by the government of the hospitality and tourism industry. The whole town needs reinvestment in its hotels and tourism stock. Of course this is no reflection upon the property. They are doing their very best under very difficult circumstances.

Large, clean en-suite double room with sea view. Excellent location. Good breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent value for money. Thank you very much - I had a very nice break !

The window was quite small and the room rather dark (but the sea view made up for it). The only heating was a small electric radiator, which meant the room was not very warm, and the bathroom had no heating. The duvet was quite thin, so it got a bit chilly during the night. Luckily, the temperatures were relatively mild for November, but I'd imagine it probably gets quite chilly during winter. From the outside, it looks as if the building is having some structural issues and is in need of some restauration work. I hope that the owners are able to refurbish the building in the next few years as it would be a shame if it deteriorated further. On the inside, everything looked fine though.

Brilliant location near the pier. We had great sea views. The room was nice and clean. The shower was nice and hot and powerful. Unusual for any hotel! We didn't eat breakfast although it was offered in the price. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Good for a 3 star hotel.

The shower floor was a bit slippy when wet, so take care. A fan in the room would be good as we visited during a heat wave. The top windows are difficult to open. The outside of the hotel looks poor as there was scaffolding up, but don't let that put you off as the inside is fine. The hotel needs painting outside, obviously they are making a start on that.

A multi national staff that were really good in every way possible , anything you asked for was dealt with straight away . Extra pillows , extra milk for the room , parking pass all dealt with immediately with a smile on their faces . The owners have assembled a great team . The breakfast was first class , cooked to order and far better than a lot of 4 and 5 star hotels we have visited . The bed in room 303 was extremely comfortable .

The hotel requires the corridors and bedrooms redecorating as do a lot of properties following Covid , however it was extremely clean in the rooms, and communal areas with the staff doing what they can with an older style property , it was not a problem for our party .

The hotel was very good value for money . It’s fairly basic but had everything we needed in the room (including two pillows each and bath mat, hairdryer , tea and coffee . The best part was the lovely view over the beach right opposite . The room was lovely and warm once we had put the heater on for a while. Shower was good and plenty of hot water . Staff were very friendly. The breakfast was good for the price we paid for the night . Parking right outside was cheap (there was free parking further down the road if needed) . Was lovely to see the starling murmurations at the pier!

Hotel is looking a bit tired and needs a good makeover (new carpets etc) but we didn’t expect five star luxury for the price we paid. The room was very cold when we first arrived but quickly warmed up once we turned heater on . The cooked breakfast could have been hotter but was still perfectly edible .

As we are a disabled couple the staff at the hotel could not have been more attentive and helpful. Always willing to help and always with a smile on their face. Massive room so plenty of space even with our dog and both mobility scooters in there. We enjoyed the breakfast plenty of variety, hot and cold. They have just reopened the restaurant for evening meals but we didn't realise this until the last day so didn't get the opportunity to try that menu. All in all no complaints and we would be more than happy to stay here again. The new owner, who we met on our last day and got chatting to explained he is gradually trying to upgrade and restore the building so please don't let the outside put you off staying at this gem of a find .

Only one thing that could have improved our stay would have been a chest of drawers in the room. There was very limited storage space.

Stay was Short but we enjoyed staying at this hotel . Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast duration time quite long 7 to 10AM. Breakfast had lot of items including Fruit, Drinks, Egg, toast Beans and Butter and Jams

Should have staff to take luggage of geusts to their rooms. Should provide decaf Coffe & Tea. Should have two chairs rather then one. Should provide small towels as well.

I had a fantastic stay at The Shoreview in Eastbourne. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the beach and the beautiful Eastbourne Pier. It’s also close to the town centre, so there’s no shortage of shops, restaurants, and cafés to explore. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. My room was bright and cozy, with a lovely view of the seafront. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. One of the best parts of staying at The Shoreview was the breakfast. It had a great selection, and it was a perfect way to start the day before heading out to explore the area. Overall, it’s a charming hotel in a great location, and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re visiting Eastbourne. A perfect spot for a relaxing seaside getaway!

Was in tower room,beautiful view,it's an old building,the room was quirky ,large room,fan,hairdryer, toiletries, kettle,coffee ,tea,milk. Clean room,. Stayed for 2 nights, watched air show on Saturday, then went to motorshowon Sunday, when we returned clean towels provided,,bed sheets were changed. Cleaner is an asset to the hotel. Great price, including breakfast . Helpful and friendly taff at reception. Would recommend.

Needs updating, which they are in the process of doing,would expect this as it is an old building..

The staff were wonderful and friendly, always smiling and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and the room very clean. Everything a guest might need had been thought of. One of my best stays in Eastbourne.

The time of my visit the weather was extremely cold. The building does not have a heating system, only storage heaters in rooms which take too much time to warm up the room, never enough.The corridors and the breakfast room were very very cold, freezing cold. The building needs a thorough renovation.
