Location wonderful good parking Once we found it as diversion. Good breakfast

Cracked sink ..everything in a tired state ..great ambience but would have been just beautiful in its younger days.

Was my second stay here and I was satisfied as I was in the past. Price is more than reasonable for the location and services. Room and premises in general were very clean. Breakfast more than sufficient and tasty. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

I like the close proximity to the beach and local shops and city centre. The breakfast was very tasty and a lot of choices.

The toilet had a stain inside. Also the bathroom door couldn't close properly. The wallpaper was lifting away on the walls. There were no usb sockets to charge your mobile phone. There were two patern ceiling wallpaper styles and not consistent. On the main stairs between the ground and first floor, there was a tea bag left on the stairs from Sunday through till Monday when we left. It takes a while for the hot water to reach the shower. approx 3 minutes.

The manager at the reception has saved our trip. We have find ourselves in difficult situation because of booking.com however the lady she has managed to organise everything. We where very pleased considering the fact that the hotel vas busy due to easter holidays . It was my husbands birthday too so that was extremely important for us to have a good time. The view from tbe window was amazing, staff at the front desk where amazing, staff at the restaurant working so hard and always smiling. This was our second trip to that hotel and we hope to come back. P.s hope you enjoyed the chocolates 💙

The location and staff are exceptional. The people of the Hotel deserve all the praise. Its proximity to the Center of Eastbourne and the Pier is incredible. The hotel has a beautiful, old-timey charm which I really like.

An issue I ran into is that the bathroom wasn't exceptionally clean. But more importantly that old-timey charm which I personally really like, can be pretty off-putting. Our room had single pane windows, which meant a lot of heat escaped. The walls could use a new lick of paint and some of the facilities of the room, whilst sufficient in their current state, could be up for modernisation. The TV in our room was tiny, by today's standards. Good enough for me and my partner, but noticeable. Especially when friends in a different room had a much larger TV. (They also had a bath, whilst we didn't. Personally wouldn't have used it but again, I noticed.) It seemed a bit random, in that regard.

This is a lovely Victorian Hotel, but in need of an upgrade. Apparently this is going to happen soon. The staff are amazing and helpful. We have stayed in this Hotel for many years and they have entertainment some nights, which is nice. Drink prices are fair and the Bar Menu is good. We stayed half board. The Breakfast options have got better over the years, and you are given the Dinner Menu at Breakfast to choose what you would like for the Evening.

Nothing but this time the room we were expecting to go into had been moved, so we had to change rooms the following morning. The Reception Manager sorted this with no issues and upgraded us to a Seaview at no extra cost for the inconvenience. This was appreciated.

If you make the mistake of judging the hotel based purely on its appearance, mistaking a occasionally worn and grubby carpet in a hallway and/or a wobbly tap in a bathroom as signs that the hotel is a disaster, then you probably don't deserve to stay here. Always warm in the winter, fast free wireless internet and a massive buffet breakfast. Oh, and have you seen the location?

There are plenty of things to complain about, but none of them are important. Making a fuss will only encourage the owners to renovate the place, and then you won't be able to stay here anymore.

Location useful, pleasant greeting upon arrival, nice reception, lifts working, bed and furniture clean, a plug-in electric radiator had made room nice & cosy but turned it AND the already running CH off for the rest of night, it was fine.

However, although sink and loo appeared clean the soap dish over bath was filthy, there was mould on the bathtub surrounding the shower glass, the shower head and pipe needed cleaning. Floor extremely creaky so had to creep around as nextdoor room had Do Not Disturb hanger on door.

The staff at the Burlington are superb. Very helpful and friendly. View was fantastic. Breakfast is excellent and very good value for money. Meals in the bar are very good. Evening entertainment was fun! Beds were comfortable, although we had to flip one of the mattresses as the memory foam topper attached to it was on the bottom not the top!

The bathroom attached to our room was in desperate need of renewing. Even though functional, it didn't appear to be clean (although the very old, dated fittings may have been down to that). The toilet was very stained and needed a good dose of bleach!
