The staff were super friendly. The location is great, central to everything, the pier is just opposite, the town centre a few minutes walk away. I had a single bed, but it was extremely comfortable. I'd say it's good value for money, although they charged me £10 for early entry, which was fine as I arrived into Gatwick airport at 8am!

It's an old hotel in great need of updating. The room was comfortable, but the paint on the window frame and sill was peeling and rusty. The carpeting needs replacing. The furniture in the lounge area was dated and the table tops were peeling. It needs a lot of tlc!

Had to book after going to another apartment booked through booking.com as a weekend family holiday. We were lucky to get somewhere in the same location and closer to the beach. The hotel is nice enough, could do with a bit more.of a thorough clean behind things which seemed to be neglected but beds were comfy and rooms were clean enough for a shirt stay amd things were replenished each day which was not expected. Staff was friendly and approachable Pool table was in the bar area which was nice

Restaurant there but nit available and restaurant was in the basement which smelt a bit old and damp.. The place hadn't been cleaned for a while behind chest of drawers and beds as I pulled things out. There was a new staff member behind the bar but he was learning so this is tolerated Advertised on booking.com as having breakfast available but then could not be booked. Was told the restaurant is only available when they have groups staying but to be honest I don't think I would eat in the restaurant as it s.elt old and damp in the basement area.where it is. Bathrooms could do with an overhaul but were useable and ok. Nothing spectacular but ok and clean enough to use and I am fussy.

We returned to the hotel on Eastbourne seafront, situated directly opposite the pier, after two years and were once again impressed by the overall experience. We both appreciate the hotel’s charm and particularly enjoy spending time playing pool in the bar. The bed was comfortable and warm; however, the pillows could have been of better quality. This time, we did not have a balcony with a sea view. Those rooms feel noticeably more spacious compared to the one we stayed in on this occasion. The shower pressure in this room was somewhat weak, though the temperature was excellent, allowing me to enjoy the extra hot shower I prefer. Overall, our stay was very pleasant, but I will be opting for a room with a balcony and sea view for a more spacious experience next time

Nice location by the pier and is an old style traditional hotel with a large bar area and side rooms to unwind in. Room was a nice size and had high ceilings, bed was comfy and the water was hot in the bathroom. There is a nice little Greek restaurant around the corner doing excellent food. Hotel offered resident parking permit, so you have ten minutes to unload outside and then go park the car somewhere in the large zone H.

Just needed the balcony jet washing and exterior cleaning up a bit and it will be the best hotel in town.

Location is the best, they even gave me ocean view room, big surprise, price is too good to be true, I had great sleep with earplugs. Waking up with the sound of seagulls and ocean waves is nice!

The shower pressure is not good, the worst is that I found a used toilet paper behind bathroom door, maybe it was stuck there and staff didn’t see it, but what kind of guests left used toilet paper on the floor, with poop on the paper?! But for this price, it is ok. And there is also no bathroom rug to dry feet.

It is well positioned for transport in the town centre and it it's more than a bed and breakfast but not quite a hotel. I appreciated the lift and while there was no restaurant or breakfast option it's not a problem because there are plenty of eating places a couple of minutes away. A surprise was the free wifi was only available in the lounge and while it was okay as a sole traveller I spend most evenings on the Internet in my room. Had I known it was only available in the lounge I might not have booked.

Like most places now the lighting in the internal corridor was on a detector beam and could have come on a little sooner and lasted a little longer. The hot tap in the on the basin was loose but this didn't affect its operation. Being in the building industry I'm a bit picky but hot water was absolutely scalding. While the TV worked fine I got the feeling the remote control probably needed new batteries but that's about all

The staff were helpful and friendly and the bar and lounges were welcoming. The location is great, right by the pier and a short walk to....everywhere! The room was clean and comfortable. We had opted for a family room and knew that these rooms overlooked the back (sea views are available for other size rooms if requested).....we just hadn't expected a bunk bed for the third bed, quite a challenge for three 65+ ladies but we, well one of us, conquered it!!!

There is no restaurant and therefore no breakfast offered. This didn't bother us as we prefer to eat a little later and try different places but just beware if you require B&B! The room maybe needs a little updating and there was no light switch by the beds, so you have to get up and walk to the switch by the door to turn the lights out at night. But, as complaints go, that's only a very minor one! There are no hairdryers automatically provided in the room but I think they will give you one if you ask. Also, there is no wifi in the rooms, only in the lounge downstairs, which is quite unusual these days and easily resolved by the hotel for little expense I would think.

The staff were amazing, very friendly and accommodating to us. We had access to our room an hour early, upon check in they had many leaflets to see what we could do during our trip. The location was just perfect! Hotel bar was very comfortable and had very good options! Our room was cleaned and our bed was made every day for us. Such good value for money as well we’d definitely stay here again! Thank you so much for our stay we really enjoyed ourselves

The balcony, the cleanliness, the friendliness of the staff, the cleaner in particular was very friendly. The location of the room was conveniently next to the left which helped with luggage transfer.

There were people sitting on the steps to the side entrance. They were very noisy and appeared drunk. It was very noisy at times due to them congregating outside and shouting to one another for long periods. There was scaffolding in ochre outside our balcony which wasn’t pleasant to look at and disturb the beautiful view. The hotel wasn’t staffed all the time snd there wasn’t anyone available to ask for a hand towel as no hand towel had been left in the bathroom.

It is in excellent location. 2 mins from the pier and seafront by walking. Room and shower as required. Good budget place to stay for a few days. Nice lounge area. Parking only £2.40 a day. Will stay again.
