This was a one night stay and was very good value for the money. Staff were very good and I couldn't fault the amenities. The bedroom and bathroom were pleasantly decorated - I stayed at the Queen's Hotel some 10-15 years ago and could see the change (improvement). On this stay.

THE ONLY DOWNSIDE to this stay was that Booking.com erroneously charged me double for this trip. Some 7 days after my booking and paying for a non-refundable/non changeable stay booking.com sent me a 'card invalid' message - please pay within 24 hours or loose booking. After checking that the booking no. and confidential pin were correct I paid using another CC. Since both payments went through on my credit cards almost one month after the 2nd payment I am still trying to get a refund of that payment. BEWARE - WAS THIS CAUSED BY A ROGUE BOOKING.COM OPERATOR OR A FAULTY IT SYSTEM????

My wife has mobility problems and the staff allocated us a room close to a lift and with a shower and hand rails. The room had a small table and chairs and this made it very easy to manoeuvre. The room was clean, had comfortable beds. Towels were changed each day. The breakfast was good overall with juice, cereal, fruit on a self serve basis then hot food to order. The staff were lovely. Evening entertainment was good fun with lots of joining in the singalongs! Parking was freely available on arrival but we struggled to park after an evening out. The hotel is immediately opposite the beach and pier so very convenient.

Better quality sausages would have improved the otherwise very acceptable breakfast.

For a start it includes a car park which, in Eastbourne, is rare and the charge was included in the room rate. We arrived just as 2 coach loads arrived but we were soon checked in efficiently by reception with all relevant information given without asking. we could have stayed in for bingo etc but we were already booked at Gianni's for a meal. We stay in Eastbourne frequently and our room had a superb view of the pier, the room was a lovely size, good sized bathroom including a bath and shower. The weather was warm but we did not need a fan. I tend to carry a travel one. I don't know if the hotel supplies them. Breakfast was waitress service including tea and coffee. We appeared to be in a room for guests who came by car. I assume bus tours have their own area. When this hotel is on a deal we will definitely be back.

The cost, plus clean room, nice towels and bedding. The best thing was they had a room for 3, which is not always on offer with all hotels. I loved the location which is almost opposite to the pier. Another bonus was we managed to get a parking spot at the hotel, and the receptionist informed us it was valid for 24hrs so we were able to spend more time in Eastbourne the next day.

The hotel was dated and seemed to mainly cater for the elderly that have booked an Alfa coach trip. Infact, it's owned by the company leisure plex. However, we were aware of this but for our needs it was fine as we didn't need to pay alot.

Stayed here before a few times, the staff are always great and friendly, the location is great and the free parking is a must for me so added bonus, the rooms are comfortable considering the age of the building so that has to be taken into account, I will be staying here again at dome point, thank you to the staff for being so upbeat and friendly keep it 😁👌🏻

The only thing I can be negative about is the breakfast, the sausage was very much white rather than brown, and the rest was just about warm not hot at all hope this gets addressed and will make future stays all the better for me and my partner 😉

Location is right on the sea front and you can walk for miles in either direction. The pier is directly opposite the hotel. Breakfast was nice, the room was clean and spacious and overlooked the sea front.

One of the male reception staff (who represent the initial contact with the guests, and who is the face of the hotel), needs to take a refresher course in customer liason and interaction with people, as incorrectly arguing with a guest as to where the wifi password 'is', but 'isn't', and then not admitting he was wrong and saying 'sorry', lets the hotel down. Other than that, all was very enjoyable for our 2 day stay.

The room and bathroom were both spacious. The location just opposite the pier on the seafront was excellent and the shopping centre was about 10 minutes' walk away. We enjoyed strolling along the pier and looking in the little shops there. Breakfast was adequate with a selection of cereals, yogurt and tinned fruit (prunes and grapefruit). There was a good choice of cooked food, too.

The decor is old-fashioned and could do with up-dating, though the carpet was new. The washbasin had a crack in it and the shower screen wouldn't stay in place on our last morning, hence a pool of water on the floor! The taps and bath handles were rather corroded (not rusty). As with a lot of older hotels, the floor was extremely creaky!

Loved the hotel! Room was a bit dated but clean and comfortable bed, had a bath that was good! Would have like a later breakfast Time only had one hour slot ,and was really busy but was served quickly and staff pleasant. The entertainment at night was for the older guests we are in our 50s but youngest there but to us it didn’t matter we also enjoyed the exercise going up and down the stairs to the 5th floor which we was on … all in all we enjoyed our stay in the queens hotel and would stay there again .

Just how busy breakfast was we didn’t have an evening meal so can’t comment on that, and the room was a bit dated with the decoration and the bathroom could do with updating ! And I would have liked a sea view

Staff were friendly/helpful. Wonderful view.comfortable rooms.nice to have bingo/entertainment in house if you didn’t want to go out.

We very much enjoyed our stay so don’t like to criticise but as you’re asking and hoping it could help for the future, 2 things, as I don’t eat hot breakfast it would have been nice to see a bit more choice with cereals yogurts etc. the car park I understand is on a first come first served basis but it is very annoying when you turn up from going out to find 2 cars parked over 3 bays! I spoke to reception and she couldn’t ask them to move as they were paying Parker’s from outside the hotel. Surely when the spaces are already limited they should be for theQueens hotel holidayers, this was definitely a downside for us as we then had to waste our holiday looking for parking 😡!

The room was large, light and airy. The hotel is in an excellent location with plenty of parking and it’s cheap to check in up to 3 hours early. Great to have a fan in the room and choice of bath or shower.

No toiletries bar a tiny bar of soap. Breakfast-food and service was not good. Weird set up-get fruit and cereal and then be seated? This caused unnecessary queues at the door. The food was poor-tiny lukewarm portions which had obviously been left out a long time before serving. If I stayed again, I would go out for breakfast. The entertainment was also pretty terrible.
