My stay was very pleasant overall. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always ready to help, which made the experience feel warm and welcoming. The hotel is well located—very central—with restaurants, shops, and key attractions just a few meters away. Everything you need is within easy walking distance. Cleanliness, comfort, and convenience all came together perfectly. I’d definitely consider returning on my next visit.

Breakfast was quite good with good variety. Location quite good 10-15 minutes walk to the central square. Room and bed comfortable, good polite staff.

A bin in the room and some towel hangers and toilet paper hanger would be useful. A welcoming bottle of water would be very much appreciated.

The staff were super friendly. The location is nice. Beds were super soft. Shower pressure was high.

Walls and doors were very thin so you could hear people in the halls or adjacent rooms. The property was under construction. The first and second floors were being gutted and remodeled. The work didn’t start too early or run late, but it was loud while it was occurring.

Very convenient location, close to downtown, eateries, the train and bus station. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Surprisingly many spoke English. I would book a room at the Cristal Hotel again.

It is a minor issue, we had noisy neighbors one evening.

Sadly my husband is elderly and disabled,so a little entertaining in the hotel would have been good.As it was we were in bed early.

The breakfast was quite acceptable, with just enough choices to satisfy. Hotel location is very good, not far from centre of Caldas. Room was clean, appeared recently renovated, so in very good condition and well lit.

There was no kettle in the room.

The hotel was going through an upgrade but didn't cause too much disruption.. The coffee and juice at breakfast could do with improving, also the back ground music at breakfast needs replacing or turning down.

Nice staff, big comfortable room, in the city centre and close to the rail and bus station. Nice outdoor swimming pool. They were also able to give me a kettle to make coffee.

Breakfast was a bit basic and it would have been nice to have a couple of tables and chairs by the pool.

Everything..Staff were helpful and let us check in early with our luggage , they also allowed us to store our luggage on departure for a few hours.

I'm not really a fan of big hotels and reading the reviews I did'n expect too much but the room actually exceeded my expectations. The room was very spacious, clean and quiet. The location of the hotel is very good, 5 min. from the busstation, 7 min. from the trainstation and close to a big parking lot. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a small problem with one of the doors and they sent someone immediatley to solve the problem. Because I left early I didn't try the breakfast so I don't know how that is.

I don't like the plastic bed covers they are using these days in nearly all places in Portugal. It is too hot and too sweaty. The rooms need a little bit of updating in the near future.
