The location was very close to Chico state. The breakfast was what you want expect bagels, fruit, cereal.

We’ve never been to Chico and decided to stay here due to it being close to the college. However, it was almost 100* and our AC unit in our room didn’t seem to work. We called the front desk & told them and her first question to me was “do you have it on high & is it on cool.” TF! Of course I do she told me if we can wait for a few more minutes. I told her we’ve waited for 2 hours. So she finally told me we can move rooms. So we did. But other than that our stay was pleasant!

I have always loved having Schubert's Ice Cream accross the street. I grew up in Chico; so going to Schubert's is "being home". The facilities are always clean. The noise levels at night are usually acceptable. Parking can be a problem if the place is full, as it usually is.

I have never been enamored of the breakfast. It is sufficient. But, for me, for the price, it's a little skimpy. Would like to see a more complete breakfast. I think your title of "near Chico State" is a little deceiving. Compared to other inns in the area , yours is not too far away. But it is about a 10 block walk to the closest parts of the campus from your place.

Hostess for check in was personable, cheerful and accommodating - offered a free upgrade to a spacious room with king size bed at check in! The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was fantastic, and the location is great. The room is equipped with refrigerator and microwave, with good light fixtures for bedside reading.

The single factor for this hotel not receiving an exceptional rating is the very mediocre breakfast offered. I suppose one should not complain about what is offered for "free" however it was so subpar, I actually skipped it. An air freshener is used in the rooms during the cleaning process that leaves a pungent order. There is also only one ice machine to service the entire hotel. I was always able to fill my ice bucket but wonder if this might be the case in the hot summer months.

Located near the downtown area with plenty of shops and loads of restaurants. Chico Natural Foods Cooperative just across the street. Lots of construction workers use this motel, so more than half the vehicles in the lot were trucks. But rooms were clean and nicely appointed. Even had a tub. Great price, too, and desk staff was super helpful.

The big sign out front said Thunderbird Lodge, so that confused us at first. We had to drive around the block once before figuring out it was the Quality Inn!

The bed was incredibly comfortable. Good coffee, spacious clean rooms. Close to everything, shopping, food, entertainment. Shuberts is right across the street, Dutch bros is walking distance. Staff was so nice, I forgot to request a room downstairs due to a disability and they happily got us a downstairs room easily.

The only thing that was remotely even a “problem” parking was kinda tight. Mainly due to people not parking properly.

Bed and pillows(!!!) were comfortable. Shower was hot, clean, and modern compared to most affordable rooms. Good amount of breakfast options offered, and the location is walking distance to downtown/coffee shops.

There were a lot of glowing lights during the night - the most problematic being the built in night-light in the sink area. I will travel with electrical tape to cover such things from now on! The room was quiet except for the sporadic banging of the pipes or maybe something on the roof being whipped around in the wind. Thankfully I'm a sound sleeper.

The location was good for where my meeting was that night. And it felt like Chico—which was very nice. I wasn’t able to enjoy the breakfast because the hours ended too quickly and did not go late enough—however, I have never stayed at a motel or hotel or B&B that served breakfast for enough hours and/or late enough in the day for me.

The breakfast hours ended too early for me—though they were probably pretty typical hours.

This property needs a filtered water dispenser for water bottles AND water bottles in the room. I was surprised I could only get water from a small dispenser in the lobby. Chico is a hot place! Water is needed for proper hydration.

I liked the view, the spacious parking lot, and how sociable/friendly the guy at the front desk was. We didn't get up in time to eat the continental breakfast but when we were checking out, it smelled great!

The vending machine wouldn't take the dollar bills I fed it, and even if it had, the selections were sparce. The pool looked a little sad and unwelcoming, and there wasn't a hot tub. The photos online made the location seem a bit less seedy than it was, but the room itself was perfect.

The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room and furniture were nice and very clean. The staff was friendly, and the location was great. The reviews were accurate. This is probably the best deal in Chico.

The shower turned itself on for several minutes. My wife got up to turn it off, and as she walked into the bathroom, it turned itself back off. I'm not saying the place is haunted, but that was very strange. Other strange tapping noises sounded like someone's fingernail tapping on a glass table. Then it hit me: this wasn't random tapping; it was in a sequence. Again, strange.
