One of those superb Austrian hotels that grew organically over the years and kept everything in top shape. The restaurant is more than 100 years old (but in immaculate condition, traditional but modern at the same time), the spa looks brand new. The evening menu in the restaurant was longer than usual; great choice of finely prepared meals! The breakfast was also worthy of any 4 or even 5-star hotel. We could hardly tell that we were staying in an older part of the house - the room was in excellent condition. Unfortunately we only stayed for one night while travelling through.

Ordering eggs at breakfast was not that easy; the member of staff who was cooking the eggs wasn't really taking care of the guests. Would have matched the level of the breakfast and of the hotel if orders could have been placed with the waiters.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful, both pools clean and a perfect temperature. Dinner was fantastic, and amazing looking breakfast. Upgraded to a lovely room with so much space and relaxing view.

Such an amazing place, but I feel I couldn’t stay there in the summer as the air con is very poor, lowest temperature was 19.5, slept with all windows open in an attempt to cool room. Location isn’t the best, but ok if drive.

Great staff, very friendly and accommodating! The bed was comfortable and the spa area was very well maintained to stay clean! I also liked the numerous towels provided in the Spa area

Spa area was nice, but maybe a bit small for high season. We went during spring and the weather was good, so the pool was mainly used by families. To keep in mind if you're trying to spend time with your significant other ;)

Everything was just perfect. The hotel is beautiful and super clean, it has restaurant wich food is delicious, our room was big and had balcony with stunning view on the mountains. Hotel Grünauerhof is just in a couple kilometers from Salzburg and it has a lot of parking places if you are travelling by car. The place has very nice vibe and the personnel is very competent and friendly. A great hotel overall in a superb location we would definitely return here

The property is really huge and very cosy. we stayed just one night en route to Croatia and it had everything we needed. they also let us use the spa the next day after checking out which was really great.

beds are not very comfortable, especially not for couples. standard German style single beds stuck together. we had an outer facing room with a balcony that was a bit tired and dated. rooms had a somewhat musty smell to them.

Exceptional hotel. Super smart but also family friendly. Amazing facilities - pools, two indoor play rooms, next to a fantastic outdoor park and walks along the river. Beautiful views to the Untersberg. Breakfast buffet selection is great and food/drink from the restaurant also reasonably priced and excellent service. Have been before and will go again.

Room was very warm and AC couldn't be turned down further.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and I have been to quite a few. The breakfast selection was vast and tasty. Good coffee served (no the "hotel kind"), fresh self-pressed juices and some 20 kinds of bread and buns are just a few of many breakfast options available. Outside pool with warm water and direct access to cycling path. Drive from Salzburg center 10 minutes.

The property is beautiful and VERY clean. The breakfast is amazing.

We felt as though our children weren’t particularly welcome.

Super clean and freshly renovated hotel - everything is in brand new condition. Friendly staff. Really cozy room: spacious, comfy, warm, bright, plenty of various storage spaces. Convenient light control (smart switches). Decent soundproofing. Delicious breakfast is served in the huge yet atmospheric on-site restaurant (divided into small comfy rooms). Spa is located in a separate building (connected via a passageway) and occupies two floors - three different saunas and the relax room on the first floor and on the ground floor there is another sauna (dress-on) with relative small indoor pool plus pretty big outdoor pool (it was very nice to swim there in the evening, but it probably wouldn't have been as nice in colder weather) - the whole spa area is not very large, but still there was enough space even in the high season. Free underground parking.

Only some slight imperfections in the bathroom: the magnifying mirror was poorly fastened, there were no hooks for hand towels, and the shower head had a minor leak. It was also confusing that the faucet knobs open in different directions. Spa is not accessible from 9 to 11 am due to maintenance. And the very last point - probably not the best blankets, but that's it.

The breakfast was amazing, everything you need and it was very delicious. The room was really confortable, we had coffee in the room free of charge. The rooms are spacious, very confortable. with beautiful views to the mountains. Spa was also very nice, the outside heated pool was very good to swim. Everything was clean and spacious, the restaurant and the bar are big with amazing food. Staff was very helpful and nice. I really recommend the place and I will come back again
