The property was a great little find for a 2 night stay in the area. It was well located to get to nearby Ilkley and Skipton and had a number of nice sites near it such as Cliffe Castle and the surrounding park. The breakfast was very good and very generous in size. This was the only time we saw the staff and owner both of whom were very kind and friendly. The room was spacious and the beds comfy (although a little too soft for my liking but that’s just personal preference). The bathroom was also nice and had a bath which was a bonus.

The Dalesgate Hotel has a self- check in/key code entry system, which means that there are no staff about during the day. However, they are always contactable if required and it was good not to have to carry keys around. The staff who were on duty at breakfast were excellent - so pleasant and friendly. There was a good selection of breakfast options and the hot breakfasts were freshly and excellently cooked and very generous. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. It was serviced and we were given fresh towels every day. The hotel is very good value for money and we would certainly book there again.

Spacious room with all the facilities I needed, clean fresh appearance. Excellent choice for breakfast and friendly, cheerful service. Comfortable night's sleep. Competitive price. I would definitely book again.

I would pay more attention to the helpful instructions sent ahead of my visit regarding keyless entry, which I found great once I'd used it. Satnav delivered me to the front door on the main road and parking is round the back. But both these inconveniences were my fault for not reading the information fully.

Cleanliness and breakfasts were top notch. Self checkin very good. Contact excellent.

Still some updating required which we did report it to the lady's who cleaned and cooked the lovely breakfasts and seemed to be overall in charge. Out of everyone's control was the persons who spent the night up and down the stairs right by our room banging entrance door seemingly to have a smoke. If we had been staying longer would have asked to change our room.

My room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. There was plenty of parking space behind the hotel. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and was excellent. The lady serving breakfasts was friendly and helpful. I was able to get a good evening meal at the Roebuck pub, just a few doors up the street.

Visitors are directed to the back of the hotel, to enter the building from the car park. The car park is accessed by a very rough track and, at first glance, the back of the hotel looks a bit dodgy. However, all is fine and it's just unfortunate that the first impression isn't a correct representation of what it's actually like.

Easy self check in with keypad entry to the main doors and your room, easy to find and only a 1 mile walk to town centre. 25 min walk or a few minute drive. We were staying the night before the Tough mudder and needed to leave at 7.30. We booked for breakfast included but we wasn't aware that breakfast is served from 8am on weekends. Using the what's app chat link provided in the welcome email pack We messaged customer services to ask if anything could be provided for our earlier departure. The response was quick and they kindly offered to open the breakfast area 1 hour earlier so we could eat before we left. The breakfast was well stocked with lots of options and the staff came out to take a hot food order. Thanks for the kind offer.

The self check-in was very well organized and when we had a question, the member of staff employed to field calls answered promptly and was extremely helpful and accommodating. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The bed and bedding were fantastic so we were able to have a great sleep, especially with the windows cracked and the fresh air coming in. The location was great, next door to a lively pub as well as the bus stop, and just a 30-minute walk to the center of town. The woman who takes care of breakfast was very professional, helpful, and efficient. There are many continental as well as hot breakfast options. We enjoyed our stay and found it excellent price-quality!

Nothing in particular. The bathroom had a bit of an odd set up but once you accepted that, we didn’t mind it too much.

Very clean room and en-suite, which had a great walk in shower. Perfect for my needs and close enough to the company that I was visiting, that I didn't have to battle with the rush hour traffic.

The only comment in a slightly negative way, is relating to the soap dispenser above the basin in the en-suite. The soap was very runny, as if watered down and had an odd smell to it, almost like damp rust, so I am not sure if the dispenser is the cause.

It is very efficiently run. The self check-in works really well. The room was basic but comfortable and everything was very clean. The bathroom was warm and the shower excellent. Our cooked breakfast was really tasty and the variety of foods on the buffet was good. The lady who served us was very friendly and cheerful.

We could have done with instructions on how to work the radiator in the bedroom. It was a cold evening and the radiator kept turning off. The doors around us could do with having their hinges oiled as they squeaked, which was disturbing every time someone came past. I would have liked decaff coffee in the room, but there was no-one at reception to ask. These are very minor points though. We had a very good stay.

Effortless self-checking in process, and the rooms with breakfast represent unbelievable value..A nearby bus stop gets you into Keighley if you don't want to take the car. We used it to visit the steam railway and will be back to do the same next month. Off road parking is available round the back of the hotel. The breakfast was great, and the lady who served us was very helpful and pleasant
