Property was in a very convenient location close to city center and ports. Sorrento is the perfect place to be based in when doing day trips along Amalfi Coast and visiting Pompeii. This city is more lively, walkable and affordable compared to Positano. The room was clean, filled with things you need and private. Both the room and bathroom were large with kitchenette and AC/Heater. The view of the street was gorgeous and the building its self has lots of old time charm. The neighbors and surrounding stores are very nice. There was a market right downstairs for me to get my daily kefir and water. Nino, the owner, was very kind and calmed my anxiety about getting around as a solo traveler. He gave me clear instructions on how to get to the property from airport (as google is kinda confusing or not helpful in Italy) and to all my other day trips. He scheduled my early am ride to airport and gave many amazing local trip tips. When I got there, a complementary glass of wine was waiting for me. He used WhatsApp to communicate and would answer any questions I had almost immediately. Checking in and out was a breeze as well. I will definitely come back with my family!

An ancient architecture which famous poetry Tasso ‘s sister used to live. Excellent location, very clean and tidy, all around with bar and ristorante. Especially , the owner Nino gives us a perfect service, preparing everything you can imagine, you can trust him totally. And he is the guy who pursues the life, the pillow and mattress are the most comfortable I have ever stayed in Italy.

The location is conveniently located, walking distance to restaurants and beach. Everything was clean upon arrival and you are provided with slippers, snacks, bathroom amenities and tour information free of charge. Our host Nino was very helpful and always ensured we were comfortable and was always available for questions. One other plus is that there is a laundromat within seconds of the property! We had a great stay and would book again!
The entry door was a little difficult to open, probably due to the heat. To gain entry you just need to use a bit of muscle as the door is a little sticky and from the inside there is no handle to pull open. After a couple of days you get the hang of it.

The quality of the room was great, the bed was so comfy, kitchen had everything we needed and the bathroom was spotless. The welcome drinks and snacks were really appreciated and made us feel very welcome. The hosts brother met us and he was super friendly and recommended an itinerary for our stay, including boat trips and restaurants to eat at. The host checked in with us via WhatsApp to ensure we had everything we needed and provided some transport advice. Thank you so much for your hospitality. Brilliant place, we loved Sorrento and the apartment, can't wait to stay here again.

We recently stayed at La Dimora di Cornelia in Sorrento, and I can honestly say it was one of the most memorable travel experiences we’ve ever had. The property itself is stunning — a beautifully preserved 15th-century building with rooms finished to a modern, high-end standard. It perfectly blends historical charm with contemporary comfort. From the moment I booked, Nino (the owner) was in touch via WhatsApp, introducing himself and offering help with anything we needed. And let me tell you — Nino wasn’t just a host; he was like our personal tour guide, concierge, and friend all in one! He gave us several travel options from Naples airport and even recommended the best route — the bus, which turned out to be the fastest and cheapest. But it didn’t stop there. Nino booked us restaurants for each night of our stay, and every recommendation was incredible. I specifically asked for non-touristy spots so I could get a real taste of Italy — and he delivered. One standout was Donna Sofia — a gem of a restaurant owned by Nino’s friend (also called Nino!). We were treated to free drinks and even a free pizza, all thanks to the connection. The hospitality was unreal. On top of that, Nino pre-booked us an unforgettable tour of Positano and Amalfi, making sure everything was smooth and hassle-free. Throughout our stay, he was just a message or phone call away. His local knowledge and genuine care made a massive difference. The room itself was immaculate, with thoughtful touches like sweets, red wine, prosecco, and beers waiting in the fridge when we arrived — and replenished daily! The room was cleaned every day, and the service truly rivalled what you’d expect in a top-tier all-inclusive resort. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of Sorrento, with everything within easy walking distance. Nino, thank you for going above and beyond. You made our trip to Italy stress-free, enjoyable, and genuinely special. I can’t recommend La Dimora di Cornelia enough.

Lovely apartment in the centre of Sorrento, but still a couple of streets back from the main street. 10 to 15 minute walk to either the port or train station. Close to supermarket, restaurants and laundromat. Great kitchen facilities. Room was clean. Well appointed and nice touches such as wine, water, snacks etc… A modern apartment located in a cool old building. Very good communication with the host and his brother, who met us at the beginning and they kept in contact during our stay. There are a few stairs but they are an easy climb. We would definitely stay here again if we went back to Sorrento.

The location of the apartment is excellent. It is located just on the edge of the old town and the Main Street is 2 minutes away. We walked from the ferry in 5 mins after coming up from the port. The fisherman’s village/ marina grande is 5 mins walk also. The communication with the owner was excellent, he contacted us prior, during and after our stay to make everything was good for us and to offer helpful advice and recommendations and he was there to meet us on our arrival to show us inside and the apartment. There was a lovely welcome pack including milk, snacks and wine which was a lovely surprise and saved us having to go straight out for items. The kitchen facilities where nice to have and the bathroom and bed very comfortable. There is a shop, bar, restaurant and laundry just across from the apartment. Other shops and restaurants are a very short walk away. The location is so convenient and I would definitely chose this apartment again should we be in Sorrento. Thank you Nino for all your help it was nice to meet you.

We also stayed in Rome and Florence in Italy, and we liked the Sorento hotel the most. There was a reason why the rating was so high. The exterior of the hotel was very antique as it has a long history, and the interior was very modern and tidy, making it very comfortable to stay in. The host came out and welcomed us in person and explained the details of the hotel. They responded to our inquiries very quickly and kindly. We had a hard time dragging heavy carriers to our accommodation because the road was not flat, but on the way back, we used the baggage delivery service the host introduced us to make it very comfortable. We also thank the baggage delivery driver, Commodore. It was a very rainy day, and he kindly and safely carried our luggage to the station.

Apartment is in lovely quiet location, easy to access but very safe and secure, English speaking hosts who are very very helpful, bed was comfy, kitchen well equipped - everything you need. Thoughtful and generous snacks and gifts of wine/Prosecco. Reverse cycle heater /air con. Apartment is minutes away from restaurants, sights, waterfront, gym, grocery store.
The stone tiles are cold (we stayed in February) but the room did warm up with the reverse cycle aircon/heater. Extra blankets are provided too. The Rain shower was a little underwhelming (they always are) as it’s hard to feel warm but there was a hand shower rose option where the water was hotter.

1) the property is lovely with a beautiful to-be soon-restored arch over the entry courtyard. Yes, there are stairs to what Americans would call the second floor rental, but genuinely not a big deal given all of the walking you’ll be doing in Italy. 2) comfortable and clean room. Bed was great. We traveled in January needed heat, and the temperature in the room was easily modified by remote. 3) location was convenient to many local shops and restaurants. 4) kind and generous host! You will read on the other reviews how helpful Nico was, and they are not lying! I made the choice to stay in this hotel because I expected that we might need local recommend ations because we are traveling off-season. Nico made everything very easy for us, including helping us to book (and modify our booking) a rental car and make plans for parking.* He also has many excellent recommendations for restaurants and other suggestions. *Not that you asked, but everyone says do not rent a car for a good reason. We traveled along the Amalfi coast off-season and still struggled to park it. Do not rent a car! Especially without Nico’s help.
Nothing, all excellent. Treat yourself to this relaxing and well apportioned room.
