The pousada is at the centrepoint of Evora, near the Cathedral, the public square with a panoramic view of the city, and the main museum of Evora. The pousada is a former convent and a historical sight in its own right. It has been tastefully renovated with modern facilities (albeit not high-tech). The staff were extremely helpful, all with a good command of English and also knowledgeable about the city and its surrounds.

Our original room was on the second floor, and there was no elevator. Although the staff were happy to take our luggage upstairs, this would have been difficult for me to negotiate, as I have arthritis in one of my joints. We were reallocated a room on the ground floor, which worked well for us.

The property, the Portuguese dining, the rooms, the size of the beds, the bathtub, the architecture, the quietness. Also liked that the staff was able to put us into contact with the balloon company so that we could do that and they were able to hold our breakfast a few extra minutes until we got back.!!! And they were also kind enough to give us an extra hour for checkout, which we appreciated I’ve included 4 photos, but please don’t use them for any of your advertising or marketing needs without written permission from me. The food at the Olive restaurant was terrible. I’m sorry to say.- the tomato. Caprese had absolutely no flavor nor did the tomato Pomodoro pasta. I did talk to the staff and the manager of the hotel. He kindly did give me a bottle of your wine thank you but I do hope that you work on the new chef. I went there because I remembered how fabulous it was five years ago when I stayed with you. :)

Location was delightful. Staff very helpful with getting to the property, recommendations on where to eat and even found us hotel parking. Swimming pool a bonus. Brown bread baguette at breakfast was superb. Fruit was good.

The quality of the breakfast left much to be desired - coffee was poor, water for tea wasn't boiling, scrambled/fried eggs not hot. Our other problem, not really of the pousada, was that Google totally failed to get us there and rather dumped us a couple of streets away, with streets too narrow to navigate and it required the assistance of the pousada staff to redirect us to their location. This is a problem that should be reported to Google and we will certainly do so.

We love to find and stay in historic repurposed buildings. This pousada is delightful. Surrounded by centuries of history. Central with friendly helpful staff.

I'm a little disappointed that room 201 though with a very comfortable bed and lovely cotton sheets, the carpet in the room needed replacing...dirty and worn. I much prefer tiled or wood floors in hot climates. I'm a little reticent and should have mentioned this when we checked out.

Comfortable bed. Great location. Helpful staff. Lovely public rooms. great ambience of a 15th century convent.

The rooms are due for a makeover! The carpet, for example, is looking pretty tired. As pointed out by many people, the room is tiny, but perfectly manageable. The pool could use some more chairs to accommodate the number of guests who like to use it.

Pousada is in a magnificent location, the building and grounds & gardens are beautiful. We loved the breakfast courtyard area & wide array of breakfast options. The staff were excellent and welcoming. The linens were crisp and comfortable.

Our room surprisingly had several issues. The entrance carpet was very soiled. The bathroom faucet was barely a trickle & really difficult to even wash your face or brush teeth. The handheld shower head cable had a big leak that sprayed everywhere.

Location is unbeatable in Evora! The property is stunning, with very attentive and friendly staff. As it is in a 15th century building, rooms and amenities are comfortable as expected. Dinner was excellent, shout out to Pedro who was fantastic in recommending food and wine. Additional benefit is the private parking onsite, rare in the middle of an old town like Evora.

We found the room a bit warm for our liking, with the AC too noisy to keep on all night.

An interesting old building with beautiful dining area set in the cloister. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our bedroom, being a nun's "cell" was not as austere as it sounds! Hotel is well-located near the Classical ruins and the Cathedral.

Bathroom could have had some hooks for robes etc.

The location is phenomenal! I really enjoy the concept, and I absolutely loved the breakfast! It has a lot of local cheeses and meats, as well as fruits. We went in December, so it was quite cold, but when we entered the hotel, there was a sitting area by the fireplace which me and my partner really enjoyed sitting and having a drink.

Even though I loved the concept, our room smelled of humidity as well as there were stains on the carpet floor. So I was happy to bring my flip flops to walk around.

The location in the center of the historic district was excellent. The room was beautiful. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was excellent.

Parking was very hard to come by and very inconvenient. We ended up parking in a free lot about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Driving directions to the hotel would have been helpful as we got caught in the warren of tiny streets in the old town trying to find the hotel.
