Both Andrew and Claire were absolutely lovely. Andrew was so welcoming and helped us with parking and knew so much about the area and what was worth swing. The rooms were clean and nice. No issues whatsoever so ever. The breakfast was yummy and they had a really good selection of fruit,seeds, cereal, yogurt, ect… and a great cooked breakfast. Claire’s cake were recommended in other reviews. They are to die for. The location was fabulous, literally across the road to ten beach. There was also bench towels, wind breakers you could borrow from the b and b and they had an iron and ironing board facility. If I go back to Weymouth I would definitely stay there again.

My preference is a had bead and firmer pillows-“- But that is just me. That all I could improve. The stay was lovely.

Obviously a fantastic location- cracking views when we left every morning and as well whilst eating breakfast. Andrew and Claire were fantastic, accommodating hosts. Breakfast each morning was filling, tasty and an entertaining event! Each morning we were given many ideas for activities for that specific day- e.g Bridport Market for the Saturday. Both Andrew and Claire were very knowledgeable on the area and wanted to make sure we maximized our stay. On top of this, returning in the afternoon for a break, freshly made cake as well as tea and coffee were provided in the lounge area- one of my wife's highlights as well. A cracking stay- already planning to book again!

I booked the back bedroom on the top floor. This room was fine for us and was all we required. However, if you did want the sea view or are not overly mobile- don't book the top floor! Rooms obviously get booked up quickly so don't hesitate when you want to book!

Our small double room at the back was cosy, quiet, and comfortable, with thoughtful touches like a tea and coffee maker, snacks, and a spotless bathroom with a strong shower. There were freshly cooked hot options for breakfast alongside a buffet with cereals, yogurt, and fruit. Clare’s homemade baked goodies, especially the banana cake, made it feel even more welcoming. Clare and Andrew were incredibly accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely return on our next visit to Weymouth :)

Amazing quality breakfast everything you could think off, lots of choice, even if you didn’t want a cooked breakfast, you would still leave full. Hosts where very approachable, and knowledgeable of the area and up to date topics. We loved the fact we could sit in the lounge area, the bonus was with a cup of tea and a slice or two of homemade cake, this was great as the weather was wet. Overall - would we stay here again - YES, would we recommend - YES. Xx

My wife had a heart attack this time last year and this was the first time we have been able to get a holiday and we decided to visit Weymouth and I came across The Mayfair and asked them if it was possible for us to get a room on the first floor so to make it easy for her and they did the properters was really nice and helpful, it was very nice and clean, comfortable and the breakfast we really enjoyed ( and the home baked cake which was put out daily, the distance from the station was a very short walk the beach just across the road at the end of it my wife really enjoyed our stay would easy stay again.

There was nothing we did not like

The Mayfair exceeded my expectations. It had been redone and is modern and extremely comfortable. It felt like being at home after a classy remodeling. The toiletries, linens etc were all high end. We had a choice of coffee, tea and homemade cakes during the day. Claire our host thought of everything. She even offered and did our laundry while we were there. She is an exceptional host. I would definitely recommend The Mayfair to my friends. Parking was no issue and we were able to get around easily. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of choice Thanks Claire.

There was nothing that could have been better. It was perfect.

Excellent choice of breakfasts that you could help yourself, (cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurt) too as well as Full English. Excellent service throughout our stay, with good hearted banter at breakfast. Short walk from train station (less than 5 mins). Our hosts also gave recommendations for places to visit for days out and places to eat.

Weather could have been a bit better as it was somewhat windy and wet for 2 days, but when the sun came out it was absolutely lovely. Also some of the seafront tea bars were closed for the winter or only open for a short while.

Great location, very clean and comfortable room with daily cleaning. Claire and Andrew are lovely hosts who were always on site for help or recommendations. We enjoyed their fantastic home-cooked breakfast and the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Claire even baked cake for all the guests, which was a very pleasant and unexpected service!

Andrew and Claire are wonderful hosts and look after you exceptionally, i even got a birthday card off them after i had mentioned it the day before, they couldn't do more for us, the breakfast was exceptional and endless toast which Andrew was happy to do. rooms were very clean and tidy and very very comfortable, everything was lovely about the place, will definately visit again very soon.

All of the extras provided by the host. Daily supply of tea and coffee plus biscuits in room, fresh milk on the fridge or use of guests and delicious home made cakes for guests every afternoon. Towels for the beach provided, plus folding deckchairs and wind breaks. Lovely breakfast to start the day.

Nothing that can be altered, but the 49 steps up to the top floor bedroom was a bit tiring - however the sea view from the room made it worthwhile!
