Long Island accessible by ferry (skippered by Phil) from Shute Harbour Marine Terminal. 30 min travel time direct to 'front door' of resort. Fabulous meet and greet by Kate and Abbie. Luggage & Personal Bags transferred to Cabin or Bure by staff while you check in at reception. Full run down re resort and activities available for use and book. Stayed in a Bure (5) with Ocean view. Comfortable lodgings. Short walk to main Building (Bistro/Reception/Pool/Mini Shop) Indoor/Outdoor dining. Outside evening bar/ Covered & Open seating area. Perfect to watch sunsets. East side of Island perfect to watch Sunrise (Tennis Court located there). Staff absolutely first rate. Loved our 3 night stay.

The location can't be beat! Exquisite water and beach side bures. Paradise! Loved the kayaking, swimming and bushwalks. Restaurant reasonably priced. Big breakfast a favourite!

Whilst the bures we more or less clean and comfortable, they were very basic and the bathrooms quite run down, with evidence of water damage and a musty smell. I don't think it's luxury accommodation at all. I would reduce the price and call it 2 or 3 stars, and then we would have been happier. Perhaps have 2 options? Fix some up and call them 'luxury' and reduce the price of the others and call them 'basic'. I would be happy with basic at a cheaper rate... saves disappointment, also!

It’s hard to fault anything about this place. The location is incredible—pristine beaches, crystal-clear water, vibrant coral, scenic walks, and lush forest. The food was excellent, the rooms were comfortable and well-appointed, and there were so many free activities to enjoy, from snorkelling and kayaking to fishing and hiking. The cockatoos are so friendly The staff do a fantastic job of maintaining everything, and I never once felt pressured or crowded—it genuinely felt like having my own private retreat. 11/10.

There’s nothing major not to like. The only improvement for the future would be upgrading the kitchenette features in each room. But they are not bad already (bungalows)

The peaceful and relaxing location was perfect to really unwind. We made a big mistake in our booking and the Manager (Andy) and staff...moved mountains to help us out at extremely short notice. For that we are extremely grateful. We stayed in several properties over 8 nights and all of them had some kind of small issue of one thing or another and the food choices were limited. But, it did not detract from a fantastic holiday with friendly staff and beautiful location. The issues were not worth complaining about, especially given the price of accommodation and how they helped us out ! The food was faultless ..apart from the limited choice.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we had a lovely time and would return. The staff are absolutely amazing and every single one of them were so kind and lovely - especially in the bar and restaurant. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool was a nice way to relax during the day. Location is amazing and so relaxing.

The only thing I would say is if you are coeliac I would just be mindful here and bring some snacks over with you. Some things were labelled as GF on the menus but turned out not to be, or no GF options labelled at all for certain meals throughout the day, or things were labelled GF on the online menu but not in person, so best just to check with the staff. Other than that our stay was beautiful and would recommend!

Switch off from the outside world and enjoy the best of nature. We stayed in the beachfront villa. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed, nothing flashy, it was adequate. Note that there are no TV's in the rooms which wasn't a problem for us but some might expect it. A great opportunity to switch off! The food at Curlews restaurant was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Sunset drinks at the Sunset Bar was delightful watching dolphins frolick as the sun went down. Our 3 night stay felt like we had been away for a week, very relaxing. There are a couple of nice bush walks, make sure you take some walking shoes as some tracks are quite rocky (not difficult terrain, just uncomfortable underfoot in the wrong shoes) but definitely worth the walk. We saw loggerhead turtles, reef sharks and a plethora of different fish.

No daily room servicing, which was fine but an amenity top up would have been good.

Resort is rustic like many people have mentioned but it is definitely fantastic value for money and super comfy so if you’re happy not having a 5 star experience, this is your place. We did a hike one morning to the abandoned resort which was nice but had horrendous weather so weren’t able to take full advantage of resort. Food and drinks were great. Staff were mainly fantastic but one was a bit moody and apathetic. Didn’t affect our stay but definitely didn’t have the sunny disposition we had loved about the other staff. Can’t wait to come back!

Unfortunately we were allocated probably the one the beach front bungalow that was not in fact beach front and blocked by a hedge (number 9). It is just luck of the draw and when we go back I would try and request one of the other ones which were actually beachfront.

WOW. This resort is absolutely beautiful, set amongst the tropical plants and animals - you will regularly see wallabies about and friendly cockies coming up to you. Our room was a little beach hut set in the sand on the beach front with the most spectacular view. The horseshoe shape of Palm Bay blocks out the wind so it's just beautiful and still. There are kayaks, snorkelling equipment and stinger suits for free hire. The pool was lovely, the day spa was lovely. The restaurant was great with fresh, healthy options and reasonably priced. The room was big and spacious and had fans and a/c for cooling. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

There was a bit of mould in the shower grout, could do with a deep clean.

Amazing place, lovely island. Nice peaceful place. Will definitely think of returning back. Rooms were nice. Loved the kayaks and took them out everyday that we were there. The bay was very beautiful. The sunset bar was great wished they served some food/snacks there.

Restaurant food was pricey with not enough variety. Not much to do once it becomes dark maybe add a pool table or something ?. Only way to reach island is via the island transfers ferry which has only 2 timings morning and late evening wish they have more timings.

Beautiful sheltered bay on the reef, lovely beachside villas with balconies to enjoy the view and sunsets. Kayaks and snorkelling gear for use at no cost. Wonderful little cute wallabies roaming around, and friendly cockatoos that come and say hello. Fantastic stay.

It would be great if the restaurant and pool were beachside, and / or the bar was open longer. Would also be nice if the tennis court was repaired. Restaurant menu could change a bit more, but appreciate it’s on an island. We still loved our stay!
