The property was absolutely beautiful and the rooms have been renovated recently, which was great. We had an ocean view which was to die for the pool is amazing and they also have a special area to watch the sunset each night where our bar is situated. They also offer a green alternative where they give you a $10 discount per night if they don’t have to clean your room. They welcomed us with a champagne and orange, which was a great start to our experience.
Some of the staff weren’t very friendly, even just a smile or go along way. However, they were also wonderful staff who went out of their way to help us. There is very limited food available on the island with only two restaurants available. So if you arrive during the day that was your only option as room service doesn’t start till nighttime. The prices were quite high for lunch so they should have an alternative for a sandwich bar, cafe style easy lunches which would make a huge difference.

I enjoyed my solo stay here. Spacious room with bath. Nice main pool area. Delish cocktails. Staff were friendly. Extremely safe. I liked the rainforest walk and sunsets at Lovers Cove. I liked the restaurants and Salti did take away but there is no room service. Loved the wallabies very cute.
I went in off season but imagine the resort gets extremely busy with families in summer as I found breakfast was quite crowded. Good food options at breakfast. The shop could be better since you are on an island with no access to supermarket. Bring snacks. The other half of the island near outdoor cinema needs old furniture thrown out lots of daggy chairs and tables making that side look run down.

Room size very generous with 2 double beds, sliding door entry and exit to pool side but the air conditioning main compressor was directly at the main rear entry door so we could not use that door at all blowing strongly hot air on top of the already heat wave conditions this was not major problem as we mainly used other door. room was very well sound proof and excellent air conditioning kept room cool day and night in heatwave conditions A bit more of variety with the menu we got a bit tired of the same experience items with were not quite to our liking .salts pizzas were good but because a bit hit and miss with bases overcooked or wholemeal flour Overall was nice. Free breakfast made up for things was a fantastic variety of everything including pancakes and icecream. We recommend a week long ideal 11 nights was to long for us with limited menu but it did have 3 resteraunts mainly price. Food we gas was very nice. We had a great holiday

I loved the location of the island, it was stunning. Our room was just perfect overlooking the pools. The pool areas were gorgeous, the living reef was gorgeous, and I would highly recommend the snorkelling at lovers cove and in the living reef.
The cleanliness of the bathrooms needed a bit more attention to detail. The staff on checkout did not say anything about our stay to us, like I hope that everything was ok and that I hope that you enjoyed your stay. There was nothing for lunch that wasnt the same as dinner. It really needs a cafe with sandwiches etc cos the lunch options are almost exactly the same as the dinner options and it becomes a bit boring as we stayed 7 nights. The cost of some of the food was very pricey though, so you do need to take that into account as there are no food packages

The room was exceptionally clean, and the staff are very friendly. The bathroom feels super luxurious, minus the lack of functioning exhaust fan. The wifi works all over the island, and I loved the water refill stations through the hotel - lifesaver! They have a number of fun activities throughout the week and I also did the stingray snorkel, which was 100% worth the price. PRO TIP: You get $10 dining credit for every day you skip room cleaning.
The check in process was suuuper slow! I wish there was robes and larger coffee mugs in the room. There's no hot chocolate making facilities at buffet breakfast and I didn't get to utilize the outdoor cinema, as it wasn't working for a few nights (due to weather). PRO TIP: you get more chips when dining in vs takeaway!

Breakfast was great - good selection of food and seated next to the huge aquarium and watching the sharks feeding at the same time - brilliant! Loved the great focus on the reef experiences, the aquarium experiences, the range of marine live available to be viewed easily - excellent. Staff were all wonderful, and friendly.
Some of the shop items - such as the cost of a bottle of water at $8 - is over the top! No way is that OK. The restaurant menu choices at Salti leave a bit to be desired. I had a better choice of menu at a café on my way up the highway, and the food there was exquisite. One meal of my three at Salti was not satisfactory, the other two were excellent food, from a limited menu range.

Daydream island resort was truly dreamy and just what my husband and I needed. We visited for our honeymoon and was so relaxing. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with welcoming seashell necklaces and mimosas. The weather was great, staff were friendly and so accomodating and helpful. The restaurants Infinity & Salty were both great. There are so many pools it never feels overcrowded. The bar at the pool was great too. Loved the rainforest walk and movie night. I had a massage and Lorna was amazing. There is also amazing wildlife that wanders through the resort. Would highly recommend
Not really a dislike but the trek to get there is a bit much, we had to fly from Melbourne transitting through Brisbane, then a shuttle bus and finally a ferry which took almost a whole day of travel. So tip to plan accordingly to ensure you get an early flight to reach early :)

Our room was beautiful and we had a wonderful view towards the pool and the ocean. The pool and amenities, like free activities, were all kept up well and a nice way to spend a few days relaxing there. The food at the restaurants was delicious but a bit pricey.
You notice that the Hotel is kept up by work and travelers, though they are doing their jobs well especially in the heat that they sometimes have to work in but you notice that they are not professionally trained, so you’d finde dirty dishes at breakfast. Breakfast in and of itself was a game of luck. If you come at the right time you will not wait in lines or find food empty. The breakfast area is way too small to cater to so many guests. Furthermore, it is a bit paradox to ask guest not to bring food or even just snacks on the island but day guests are allowed to. Even worse take-out food from the restaurants was the first to be eaten by the birds at the pool.

Spacious room with a good view. Comfortable beds and very friendly and helpful staff who helped resolve an issue with the TV quickly. Various free and paid activities on the island. Good food variety for a small island.
Shower water pressure was terrible, the shower head was wobbly and couldn't stay up in place. No complimentary water in the room, had to go and get cold water from the gym or boil and wait for it to cool. Lack of food options between breakfast and mid day. Room was too bright in the morning. No slippers or robes.

The underwater observatory was fantastic as we have a little 10minth old, we all loved to sit and watch the sea life daily, there is a lot to see and do on the island snorkelling, cinema, tours, marine life and daily talks on the animals. The restaurant food was delicious especially infinity and the buffet breakfast so much choice! the staff are so friendly and helpful on the island. We had such a lovely relaxing time
I wished there would be salads available at lunch and healthier food options for babies at the restaurants. A large sail or more shade at the pool would have been excellent and also at the ramp in Hamilton island when you’re waiting for the ferry.
