Good sized bedroom with extra wide double bed. Pillows were a tad disappointing (a bit solid for me but I appreciate that is a personal preference). Bathroom small but fully functional. We booked this place as one of the only pubs with rooms in the area that catered on Sunday evening, and what catering it was! A very generous roast beef dinner with loads of vegetables and a delicious gravy was enjoyed by both of us. All the staff were excellent and welcoming. The service at breakfast was just as good as the night before. Overall good value for money.

It is in the middle of nowhere although only 5/6 miles from Grantham. This might not suit some people, but it was fine for us after a 4 hour thrash down the A1 from Northumberland.

Breakfast excellent. The fruit was fresh and there was a good choice. We only had one dinner during our stay and that was excellent. No stinting on the portions. The room was very clean, lovely large shower with plenty of water power and the beds very clean and comfortable.

I turned 82 during my stay and would have liked a hand rail in the shower. I'm used to one at home and I think it would be good to have one installed in the shower at the Staunton Arms. It makes older people feel more confident in showers.

Great staff and excellent food 👌

Knowing I was arriving late the receptionist rang to ask if I would like a sandwich making , also asked what I would like for breakfast, upon arrival I was given a very warm welcome, shown to my room and provided with the most amazing robust sandwich on granary bread as promised. Bed was comfortable, room clean, additional fan and radiator provided in room , toiletries are provided, beautiful countryside view from window. Quiet village location.

Lovely location with good food. Room was large with fan on upon my arrival. The bed was massive and very comfortable. Plenty of parking.

I had two emails after booking stating that because of the location of my room, I was getting a reduced rate to that originally quoted. When I queried this with the staff, they said it had been sent in error. Sadly, the wifi wasn't working during my visit. No tea bags in my room.

The staff were brilliant - they really made my one-night stay enjoyable. I had a well appointed and comfortable room on the ground floor that backed onto fields so it was away from the bar and quiet. I had dinner in the bar in the evening - they had thoughtfully placed me near the fire so I was away from the crowd at the bar but didn't feel forgotten. The locally brewed ale was great and the menu offered a good selection, including evgetarian/vegan choices - good portion size and delicious. The serving staff were friendly and welcoming. As they were the next morning - the full English vegetarian breakfast really set me up for the day.

Plenty of car parking. Rural peace. Very smart building. Excellent breakfast. Very welcoming staff member, Sam. Peaceful walk across the road to Church and Memorial to WW2 airmen. Bedroom large, smart, shower room very smart. Shower itself A1.

The back entrance is scruffy, scraps of carpets near the kitchen (trip hazard), paintwork tatty. The route through from bar/restauarant to the rooms needs a refresh too. More breakfast cereal choice would be welcome. The night light in the bathrooom is much too big and bright. It's a useful feature but overdone. No staff in residence overnight, just a list of telephone numbers in case of emergency.

The staff were very helpful. The whole process of booking in was very easy. The rooms are a good size they have big bathrooms lots of tea and coffee provided. The food in the staunton arms is of an incredibly high standard and very good value for money. The setting is very picturesque. It's probably the best place we have stayed in. Little touches around the place show incredible attention to detail, such as sun tan lotion by the outside area. Parking is available and has good access to the rooms. We stayed as we were at an event at Belvoir Castle. It was a fifteen minute drive to the venue. The staunton arms seems to be popular with locals and is a testament to the culture of top-notch service and attention to detail.

Friendly staff,clean nice decorated modern warm rooms, very comfortable bed and very good food including the breakfast. For once there was a menu for vegans/vegetarians which I tried and it was really good food.We would definitely go back if we are in the area again. Highly recommend it. It was good value.

Nothing could not fault it at all.

The room was stylish and comfortable. The bar and restaurant were charming and had loads of character. Staff were lovely and setting picturesque.

Limited menu at breakfast. Omlette was really bad, dry and overcooked, mushrooms also bad, tough and chewy. Limited menu in evening for non meat eaters who love fish but can't eat fried food and hates beetroot! Saying that the meat menu is good.
