Rooms were quaint but perfectly adequate. not what I'd call modern or luxury, but the facilities were there. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, happy to assist all requests. The breakfast was great - plenty of choice to suit all tastes

The only thing I would say needs improvement - the bathroom is slightly outdated. The toilet could do with upgrading as the flush wasn't 100%. The shower was above the bath, and although perfectly fine, the temperature of the water was inconsistent, varying from hot to cold depending on the pressure. Minor things, and didn't bother us at all.

The hotel is part of a lovely restaurant / bar. There is a free car park, it's very convenient for the town centre which also has a train station and plenty of bars and shops. The staff are a huge asset to the hotel. They were all extremely welcoming and ensured that everything was tomout satisfaction. That is apart from the night porter or whatever title he holds. We found that on entering the hotel in the evening and passing within a foot of his desk, he didn't have the courtesy to respond to a hello or even look up. I assumed he hadn't heard me or was tied up, but it happened a second time to me and also to my wife. That is a real shame because guests might not have had the benefit of the superb service from the daytime staff and regard the hotel on solely his lack of interaction. The rooms are clean, and although slightly dated, the hotel appears to be going through a refresh. This work didn't intrude on our stay in any way and is only mentioned as the owners are maintaining the property. A nice touch was water coolers provided on each floor and jugs provided to the rooms. The selection of hot drinks had been given thought and would satisfy most guests. The breakfast offering was excellent. From Danish pastries to full English breakfasts, including cereals, fruit salad, and everything in-between. The quality of the ingredients was clear as the sausage and bacon were clearly butcher bought and very nice. At the fantastic price, proximity to Nottingham, but in a semi rural setting, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel. Bingham Town House is a great place to stay, all the staff were very nice, Jamie on reception was very helpful, when we asked if we could have breakfast a bit earlier. Our double room was very clean, with a comfortable bed, there is a place to put your bag/case, tea and coffee with delicious biscuits, plus a jug to fill from the water cooler just outside the room, the shower in the bathroom was good. As the weather was hot, there was a fan in the room which was very useful . A large selection of breakfast cereals, jam's and marmalades, plus yogurts and pastries, there is also a varied cooked selection, along with toast and porridge. The lady serving breakfast was very attentive and nice. We ate in the Yeung Sing Restaurant on the Friday evening which was excellant, our server was very knowledgable and advised us on portion sizes, the decoration in the restaurant is very bright and cheerful. There is plenty of parking at the rear.

Absolutely nothing

Friendly staff. On site Chinese restaurant and bar. Central location close to main road routes. Handy for local shops. Excellent food at breakfast time, very good choices. We both loved the comfy bed and had an excellent night's sleep. We love the quirky rooms at the hotel, and we will be back again.

Having to bend down a bit to avoid banging our heads on the sloping ceiling in the room and bathroom. There were no drawers to put stuff in, and there were not really many surfaces to put stuff on, but we thought that was maybe due to only being there for 1 night. I wouldn't have wanted to stay in that particular room for any more than 1 night as I like to unpack and not keep going into my case for stuff that I need.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Bingham and it was the same excellent service from all the staff we met. The breakfast is first class, such a choice of both cooked and continental. Rooms are clean and comfortable and although there were plenty of people staying it was quiet. You are able to get filtered water from a machine on the stairs using a jug that is provided in your room, a nice touch and helps reduce plastic. Tea and coffee provided in room with complimentary biscuit. When in the area again we would have no hesitation in booking to stay at the Bingham.

Bathrooms a little bit dated but all in good working order staff very friendly and helpful all in all a great place and the breakfast was amazing would I stop there again 100% yes, it’s hard to pick any faults with the place other than the bathroom but again I’m being very picky I stay in Bingham a lot and will use this place again thank you

The second floor room was very nicely furnished, although the bathroom was a bit tired. Very comfortable bed and no problem with traffic noise despite the window opening above a main road. Breakfast was excellent, we`d stay there again just to enjoy that. We ate in the Cantonese restaurant which was superb, excellent service and absolutely delicious food. Overall an excellent stay which I`m sure we will repeat.

My wife and I have mobility issues so in hindsight we would have preferred a first floor room, but we will know better when we next stay. Otherwise a really enjoyable experience.

We chose the Bingham Townhouse as it was near to where we were to meet other family members. We booked two rooms and both rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a good selection of either cooked or continental to choose from. Thank you to Nigel and his team for making our short stay a pleasant one.

Ideally situated a short walk from the station for regular trains into Nottingham. Free parking at the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet room (#16) with large comfortable bed and a well equipped bathroom. There was a portable fan in the room which was a welcome addition as the weather was unusually warm. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.

Duvet filling was unevenly lumpy with nothing in the main body and all clustered around the edges. Mentioned this to the manager so hopefully it is now sorted. Background music in the breakfast room was very monotonous and boring.

It was clean and tidy and well decorated. The staff were lovely and friendly. Breakfast was amazing, the best sausage I have ever had from a local butcher too!

The reception area seemed very dated and not in keeping with the rest of the hotel. The bedroom we had was right at the top of the building so far enough away from the bar but we were clearly in the loft area and one bed seemed like it was in a former cupboard, like a little off shoot from the main room! I felt like Harry Potter 😂
