We loved the location, the balcony, the room size and shower room. Great towels. Evening meals were nicely cooked and presented.
The breakfast was often dry, leftovers and no place for used tea bags etc The staff rarely changed the items or checked quality. There was a lot of noise from the room next door one night so notices for future patrons to respect each other would be helpful. The shower room had no hand towel hook. A wall mounted extending make up mirror in the bathroom would be great. There was inadequate milk cartons on the drinks supplies tray.

I had made 2 separate bookings- one for my family and one for my friend from Canada who later decided not to travel. So I cancelled that booking and got a confirmation from the hotel. However when I went to check in I was told that there was no booking in my name! They had cancelled both bookings. However the lady in the Reception was very good- Laura immediately found a room for us.
As above- I would have been very disappointed had the place been full and the hotel had in error cancelled my reservations. Breakfast was ok— perhaps I expected better quality from a place like that!

Nice comfortable room Lovely views Private Balcony Lovely food in the restaurant at night.
I wasn’t offered any help with my bags. I wasn’t impressed with breakfast on the whole. Tea already made up and served from an urn?! Disgusting. Coffee wasn’t much better, no side plates available in the buffet area for toast. Just not enough attention to detail to make a pleasant experience. The fresh eggs that were done by the chef and the lady that brought them were very nice. Think next time. I’ll just have eggs and toast and request fresh tea.

We chose this hotel, because we were going to a funeral at the Crematorium which is located directly over the road from the Golf club entrance. You don't need to be a member of this golf club and don't even need to be interested in golf to use The Residence Hotel which I found to be of an excellent standard. Loved our room, quite spacious, especially the bathroom which was full of up to date appliances, the shower and toilet, both very modern. Both the bathroom and the bedroom were tastefully decorated. the bedroom had TV, Hair dryer and a tray with kettle, coffee, tea and biscuits. We also had a bottle of water each, which were refurbed the next day. Breakfast was in the club house restaurant, again lovely layout looking across the golf courses and the lake with fountain. Good choice of food for breakfast, including Cereals, Cooked breakfast, fruit, buns, croissants and toast. Coffee was delicious and tea and juices also available. Breakfast was self serve. There is Ample car parking on site. All the staff were very friendly and relaxed. The bar was well stocked with good draught beers and lager. We had 2 evening meals, both very good. You didn't have to sit in the restaurant, we choose to eat in the bar area. Staff very friendly and helpful. The gardens around the hotel and club house were excellent well looked after with lots of seating areas outside. The visiting golfers and club members were all very friendly as well. I did notice some were wearing jeans and plenty of shorts around even on an evening, making it a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
Be aware you book in at the clubhouse reception, not in the Residence Hotel area. We went straight to the Hotel area, to find no reception there. The club house is within easy flat walking distance and this is were you also eat. The hotel room was very quiet and we slept well, however quite noisy on a morning, as people tended to get up early and slammed doors. We could have done with some form of hand soap on the sink. I had to open a shower/bath wash to clean my hands. I also left my shower cap at home by accident and there wasn't one in the bathroom. I find most hotels have these 2 items.

The breakfast is definitely worth paying for, we added it to our booking and really glad we did. We went with our young son and all the staff were so nice to him, some places can be funny when you have a loud toddler but not here.
I don’t think there’s much more that could be better. I think maybe if there could be little fridges in rooms that would just make it 10/10 but that’s not exactly an issue just a suggestion.

Well located for our purpose of visiting National Water Sport Centre Lovely rooms, amazing shower !
It was very noisy, we were disturbed by several other guests shouting & making noise in the early hours of the morning, which was such a shame in a peaceful location.

Quiet location, bed very comfortable, easy access and parking. Due to weather conditions beyond anyone’s control we had waited service for breakfast with full choice of full english down to toast and marmalade. Staff were very helpful in a discreet way. Would not hesitate to recommend the venue to family and friends and we would come back again too.
The TV channels were limited to free view only and there did not appear to be any capability to use Netflix, Prime, Disney+ etc and the loo paper was rather rough!

liked the little lodge type accommodation, very comfortable and all staff very friendly and helpful
would have liked a little more choice for breakfast - I'm dairy free and wasn't sure what would be suitable for me so an ingredients list by each food stuff ( especially the bread) would have been helpful however Oat milk was available on request which was fantastic

The evening meal was really good quality & reasonably priced. The buffet breakfast had a good choice & was good value for the money. The rooms are very spacious & really clean. The staff were all very friendly & helpful. Would definitely stay again.
The bar shut at 8.30pm which we thought was a bit too early. The pillows in the room were really flat & uncomfortable.

Location great and room really clean and spacious
Restaurant closes very early at 8:30 after which the only option for food was a bag of nuts at the bar. This was frustrating as locations is pretty remote and I’d paid for half board option. For a hotel this is very early to be stopping all food options, especially if there’s no room service available. Definitely something to be aware of.
