Brilliant service I called a few days before arrival to explained that we would be traveling with our 10 month old baby and asked for some old sheets in case baby had an accident in the bed with us. The gentleman I spoke to was extremely helpful by offering me the choice of a cart numerous times and even said 'it is no bother at all don't feel like it is' Upon arrival the 'old sheets' what is supreme condition! The room itself was absolutely beautiful perfect for a family or group of friends. The family room was up quite a few stairs, we would most definitely stay again. Search a rarity to find staff who genuine carie when you have a baby. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon!

The hotel is in a great location; central, and directly opposite the train station. Our room was clean, comfortable, and the hot chocolate sachets were appreciated. Shared bathrooms wasn't a problem for my friend and I. They were clean, smelled fine, and we never had issue with them being busy. We were always able to hop in and use them whenever we wanted. Also, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. We stuck to the continental option, and there was enough choice to fill us up until tea time later.

It wasn't an issue for us, but please mindful for accessibility. There's a steep flight of stairs into the main hotel area. I'm not sure if there was another entrance into the hotel, so check. I'm also note sure if there is a lift once you're on the main floor. There were two steep staircases to take you to the second and third floor.

The staff was absolutely lovely, everyone, including the sweet Ukrainian cleaning lady! You felt really at home and welcome! The breakfast was really good, especially if you are a fan of British bread and cereals (as I am). There was crumpets, muffins, nice toast, cheese and a selection of cereals. Breakfast included in the deal we had which was a fantastic value. Also really cosy breakfast room (in the bar/pub area). The location couldn't be better, just opposite the train station, minutes away from many good coffee bars and riverside pubs and also easy walking distance to the city centre.

Our room was not en-suite, however there was two bathrooms just outside (shared with a couple of other rooms). They were fine, but could have some more hooks and shelves. And the same for our room - there weren't anywhere to hang our wet towels. And not that much space for other clothes either. A couple of hooks on the wall would be great.

Very friendly welcome at the hotel. Enabled me to check in a little early, which meant I could leave my bag and go into Nottingham. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Particularly liked the large tea cups in the room and the Yorkshire teabags! Breakfast options - cereal/yoghurts/fruits/pastries- all really good.

Nothing much to dislike. It is very close to the railway station,so there is a fair bit of people 'traffic' around into the late evening. However ,rooms are a couple of floors above street level, and I didn't find it was a problem.

Very warm welcome from friendly staff who could not be more helpful, very clean rooms. Specifically booked this for the location near Train station for an overnight stay at work. From the excellent description it fully met my expectations for £80 per night including Breakfast. For the price it represents fantastic value for you for money, again extremely friendly staff on at breakfast and departure. Would I stay here again and save £'s in comparison to a "chain hotel" around the corner or close by , absolutely! Would recommend it will not hesitate to book again.

Location ! Location ! Right next to the train station. Everything in walking distance. We were greeted by a very friendly member of staff at check-in (and although we arrived 15 minutes early 1.45pm, our room was ready.) Room was very nice although double bed was a bit small but not a problem as we were only staying for one night. Continental breakfast was very good (good quality products) and breakfast staff were very friendly ! There are a lot of steps in this hotel and it may not be suitable for anyone with walking difficulties. Apart from that everything is good and i would definitely stay there again.

So very close to the railway station. Very friendly staff. Excellent continental breakfast. Strong WiFi. Quality tea/coffee/hot chocolate facilities in room.

With the hotel being so close to the railway station, there were many pigeons using my window ledge as a perch. With the weather being warm, I lifted the window open a little more to cool the room only for 2 pigeons to invite themselves into my room via the open window. They knew the drill though and after a little persuasion and arm waving, they left the same way they came in! After this though I kept the windows virtually shut which did result in the room becoming overly warm.

Room was ready early for us to check in,(Family room) the room was clean and fresh. Bed and pillows very comfy.Staff very approachable and friendly, we'd asked for dietary requirements for breakfast and it was provided without a problem. Nice choice of breakfasts, including Granola, yoghurt, bagels,toast with various spreads, croissant, meats, cheese and fruit. Easy access into the hotel after hours with the use of card key or downloaded code from an email. A funny wake up call with a pigeon sitting on the windowsill staring me. Thankyou!

Unfortunately the spare bed was a bit hard and the two other quilts were used to make it softer, which worked. The mattress and the quilts had stains on them and needed washing.

Lovely atmosphere. I hope the owners realize the hotel isn’t their treasure the staff are. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. They made the stay worthwhile.

They were just a few silly little things; the wall mounted toilets were too high unless you have long legs. They were a couple of other things but the hotel is to be remodelled which will sort these issues.

The hotel is right next door to the station. The room was very comfortable and clean with nice bed linen and quality towels and an original fireplace. The bar was warm and welcoming on the Friday evening. Staff very friendly

The bar is open to the public in the morning and was too overcrowded and chaotic to offer hotel guests a good breakfast experience We were disappopinted to be asked to pay £10 for a lost plastic door entry card which we refused. If this is the hotel policy it should be made clear to guests on check in and a deposit taken for each card. It left a very unpleasant taste in our mouths which was a shame as everything had been great up until then and we would have definitely returned
