I made a very late booking with the hotel that necessitated booking two rooms, on adjacent nights, separately which required a change of room for the second night. That was managed extremely well by the hotel and my wife and I made the move to the second room early on the second day without any issue. We think the hotel is superb, we were upgraded to a superior double room, 2nd floor, for the first night and that was superb, the Studio, 3rd floor, corner room on the front was outstanding. Air conditioning in both rooms and mini - bar fridges meant keeping cool was easy and both rooms were kept cool during the July heatwave. The staff were superb, especially Hannah on reception on the second morning who sorted out the early move to our second room and made arrangements for our complimentary drinks to be chilled and ready for collection in the bar.. The breakfast rooms are in the co-joined pub and we were hosted courteously and provided with excellent food and service. The hotel is in a very quiet area, there is no parking at the hotel but there is a pre-bookable, NCP car park no more than three minutes walk from the hotel - from the hotel entrance walk up West Gate and take the first left the car park is on the right. The Nottingham Arena and National Ice Centre, is approximately five minutes walk. There are restaurants and bars within 5 - 6 minutes walk and the centre of the city (Brian Clough statue) is 10 - 12 minutes walk - there are many shops and restaurants along the way. The railway station is 7 - 8 minutes walk and the hotel is close to student accommodation in the city centre. The nearest tram stop is Lace Market - approximately 5 minutes walk.
We found nothing about the hotel that we didn't like. It is in a historical part of the city of Nottingham, has easily accessible parking, no requirement to use a car during your stay, and is close to all amenities and the Nottingham Motorpoint Arena.

It’s a lovely old building and only a shortish walk from most attractions. The breakfast was excellent but evening meal only offers pizza. Not a problem though because the Lace Market area has plenty of options. The bed was comfortable and there is a good selection of teams and coffee in the room.
Nothing really but because it’s an old building there are lots of stairs between areas, often only 2 or 3 steps but even so something to be aware of and if you are in 301, 2 or 3 the lift only goes to the 2nd floor and there is a steep flight of stairs to 3rd floor. There seems to be a problem with doors,at least in our room. The French doors didn’t close properly nor did the bathroom door and the room door only closed if you slammed it - probably annoying for other guests close by.

Went to Nottingham to see Andre Rieu at Motorpoint Arena, chose the Lace Market Hotel for its closeness to the arena, and it is in the perfect place, and also only a little walk into the town centre, castle etc. Room was excellent, only had bed and breakfast, however Carl and Victoria on duty for service during breakfast were excellent!!!
Difficult to find any problems or ways to improve our stay. We stayed in room 6, so possibly a 'guide stick' or pulley system to help draw the curtain, as the window is high up - and it was a little challenge to pull the tall heavy curtain across at night.

Really smooth booking process, lots of communication from hotel staff about places to park and early check-in possibilities. Friendly staff, quiet hotel, very clean and well resourced mini double room, checked in at 2.20 and check out at 11am. The room and pillows were very comfy, and as a solo female guest I loved it and I'll be back to stay again so thank you LM hotel.
The room felt quite small and boxy as there was a huge air con unit on the floor taking up a large amount of space and one of the blinds was broken so it felt a little dark.

Stayed a few times before, love this hotel, great for attending events at arena, a 5 minute walk away. Staff always do their best to help even when super busy, breakfast is wonderful.
Not a problem with hotel, but for last stay booked a mini double for couple. It really was too small for us, better suited to single occupant, I.e bed against wall + radiator so one of us needed to get in from bottom of bed. As I say, completely my fault for not looking properly when booking. I will definitely stay at hotel again in future, but not book the mini double.

The Property is gorgeous and our Room had a chandelier and a standalone bath and shower cubicle and there was free Prosecco in the Mini bar. We felt like royalty. Really handy for The Arena and a couple of fabulous bars nearby as well.
Nothing wrong with the property at all but what let the stay down was breakfast the following morning. Waited ages to order all the buffet stuff was waiting to be restocked and no plates or bowls available. We got the last table. Such a shame the Restaurant didn’t live up to the very high standards of the hotel

I was recommended Lace Market Hotel from one of Nottinghams best sportsmen, As a hotel it didn't disappoint. Location is perfect, the room was superb, windows that open are getting so rare and I love the windows at Lace Market Hotel. All the staff we delt with was great. We've enjoyed it so much we have booked again for next month (it will be in my wife's name as she's booked it)
As good as the stay was, the cooked breakfast is the single worst breakfast I've ever had. We travel a lot, I've had many. The bacon was rubbery and flavourless, I had to get my wife to taste it in case just to make sure I wasn't mistaken. The sausage looked amazing but was over greasy and also really bad, it's hard to mess up tinned beans, but they was dry and overcooked. I've had breakfasts in the nicest places and the worst and never had a full English as bad as that. But there was a continental option, I've we've added breakfast for our next stay, it certainly wasn't enough to put us off. As a hotel, it was perfect. Thank you to the staff for making it such a pleasant stay.

Room was lovely - very spacious and bed was comfortable. The hotel is attached to really nice, small pub next door which doubles as breakfast venue. Location was perfect - 5 min walk to Motorpoint Arena, 5 mins to Nottingham caves, roughly 10 mins from the station and castle so really central to get everywhere
Room was right next to the bar area on the ground floor so it was a little noisy until about 12. I was with my 10 YO but luckily he was so tired after being at the arena he fell asleep anyway so it wasn't an issue :)

We stayed here to be close for a party at Peggy’s Skylight so the location was great in the old Lace Market part of Nottingham. The room was lovely with a great view of a historic building opposite. The breakfast in the pub next door was excellent too, with nice staff on duty.
The staff on reception desk were distracted when we arrived and so didn’t seem that friendly or interested in us as customers. We asked about parking outside and the response wasn’t that helpful, meaning we had to look it up in the internet ourselves. The nearest car park was actually closed off and she wasn’t aware of that. We were at the hotel on Sunday night and it was a shame that the pub next door (run by the hotel) closed at 10 p.m. This meant there were no bar or lounge facilities for the hotel.

Great location, quiet for the city centre, good sized room with large and comfortable bed. Good value for the price paid. Situated in a picturesque, historical area with lovely old buildings.
The receptionist spoke very quickly and I found her hard to understand. The window in the room was very wet with condensation and mouldy round the frame as it was behind a piece of sealed secondary glazing. We couldn't see the view of the church outside. The wall mounted air con unit spoilt the look of the room and as it was right next to the TV, was very obvious.
