Location. Value for money and cleanliness. Once we got our bearings we found it to be in a great location. Beside train station. Around the corner from cafes. Seemed to be at the edge of town. Walking distance to castle and Hockley area. There is a Tesco around the corner from it too. Accross the road is a nice pub/restaurant. Cleaver and wake. Ate in hotel one evening for bar food. Delicious. Was happy with our stay and would stay there again.

Lights in room were a bit dark.

I checked in online in advance so when we arrived to drop off our bags we were very pleased to hear that we could actually drop our bags off in our room. We were grateful because we knew we would be arriving back after watching the cricket quite late. The staff were all professional and friendly. We interacted with some staff members on reception and at breakfast in the restaurant area. The location was great. It is near to the train station, city centre and some sports venues. We were very pleased with our stay and would look to use this hotel and hotel group for future visits.

Nothing really. We were very happy with our visit.

For starters the actual location. Literally a few hundred yards from the Railway Station and clearly visible. I arrived slightly early and albeit my room wasn't quite ready I was provided with a complimentary drink in the bar whilst I waited for about 15 minutes. The room itself was pretty much as expected, large comfortable bed, air conditioned, very quiet. The bathroom was fine. There was a bath in the bathroom which wasn't very big. Would probably have preferred a more powerful power shower otherwise everything was fine, very clean. The breakfast was very good. Everything was catered for as expected. Staff wise everyone was fantastic.

Can't really think of anything that I didn't like. I mentioned about the bath being quite small but it didn't cause me any issues, just personal preference in that I like a nice shower which was still provided so all okay.

We received a very friendly and kind welcome and the room was great, very well presented plus clean and well maintained. Thank you for the lovely welcome chocolates in the room upon our arrival and vouchers for a free drink. This was the best hotel, with great staff that we have experienced over the past 4 weeks of travelling. Added advantage is its location to the train station and city centre. BIG THANK YOU🇳🇿

Unfortunately housekeeping is done every 2nd day, which is strange for an otherwise great 4* hotel. We were not informed about this and can not find anything to advise this on Booking dot com

Proximity to the Train Station and a short walk to Motorpoint Arena.

Had a few things..there was no TV remote! Fortunately there was a phone in the room, so I phoned reception and the lovely lady on Reception came up to my room (on the 11th floor) with another remote. When I came back to my room after going to see a show that night, the Key card didn't work. So I had to go back down to Reception and the same lovely lady re-coded another Keycard for me. Also only 4 tea bags and no biscuits! A mini fridge would be nice for the cost of the room. I felt the room was overpriced. Very similar to a Premier Inn room but more expensive but the location was good.

The hotel was close to the train station and enjoyed the short walk over. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room had a view of the Castle and it was so clean. The bed had two pillows each and we were so excited. We had traveled all over Europe and all the hotels we stayed at inky had one pillow each person so it was a treat to find I them on the bed. The bathroom was clean and they provided fluffy clean towels. We had a free coffee in the afternoon at the bar which was excellent. We had visited Italy and couldn’t believe good my flat white was. Breakfast was also awesome. Great selection and again the staff were amazing. Wish we had more time to stay here

There’s not a thing I can say. We loved this hotel

Great location - a short walk from the train station and only ten-15 mins walk to the centre. The room was decent, clean and comfy, and it was a bonus to have a window that opened. The bathroom was in good condition, towels were large and there was plenty of soap, shampoo etc. It was nice to have a bath as well as a shower. Breakfast is a buffet and well stocked - the fresh smoothies were a nice touch, and it was a nice change to have sauted potatoes instead of hash browns. Everything seemed to be freshly cooked and the staff were replenishing everything regularly. On the Friday there was an additional welcome desk with goodies celebrating the ice hockey play off weekend, which was a nice touch. The guy manning the desk (sorry didn't get his name but he had a beard) was very friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely stay again.

The lifts were a bit slow sometimes - only 3 lifts for a large hotel with lots of floors was always going to be inadequate when the hotel is busy.

The staff at this hotel are fantastic. We came as a double trip to celebrate our anniversary but also for play off weekend (ice hockey) put a we note in while booking and we received free chocolates, free breakfast the next morning, a free bottle of wine & a room filled with balloons. The girl Abbie who organised all this was so lovely as were the other staff. The fella on reception when we were checking out on Monday was so happy, friendly & bubbly! Stored our bags for us until we had to go for our train back to the airport. Always greeted us with a smile when we say him.

We've stayed at this hotel numerous times and it's always been a pleasant experience. The staff are very helpful and attentive, the rooms are always spacious and clean, and it's in the perfect place if you're attending an event at the Motorpoint Arena, which is what our group were doing during our stay, as well as being just a stones throw away from the city centre.

The pipes were particularly noisy during our stay, making a very loud foghorn noise whenever we or anyone in the adjacent rooms flushed the toilet. Additionally the elevator was extremely slow despite having no occupants, which was okay for us having been on the third floor, but I can imagine it would be a chore for anyone residing on a higher floor.

Because I was attending EM-Con at the arena and travelling by train, the location was great as the hotel is on the way. The staff on the front desk were friendly and handled my check in quickly and efficiently. The room was just about the right size and had everything I needed for my stay and was clean and tidy. I ordered room service and despite being busy, I didn't have to wait too long to get it and the food was good. At breakfast there was a good selection of food and it was good that staff enquired whether I was a vegan or had any allergies, not that I was or did, but it showed they were looking out for the needs of the guests.

One of the coffee machines in the breakfast room wasn't working properly when I tried to use it, though as there were several more, this was only a very minor inconvenience.
