First time coming across them. Located on El tunco neighborhood. Hotel area is very private and small but beautiful, cleaned, two pools, plenty of shade. Breakfast was good portions and yummy. The staff very welcoming. Their bar drinks tasty and refreshing. Room was garden view, and very spacious. I had requested transportation and we got picked up and taken to our next destination. You can definetly walk to el Tunco where you will find bars, food and the beach views.

No complaints. Just should if stayed there longer

The resort was clean and tranquil. We enjoyed time by the pools and the service was excellent. We felt like family and loved being at the resort. The dining and relaxation areas were beautiful and had a view of the river and beach. The menu had lots to choose from. Our villa was spacious and clean. I loved being walking distance to the hub of El Tunco beach but far enough to feel the solitude of the beach. I would definitely return to this resort.

Chairs on our terrace would have been nice and a drying string or rack inside would be nice. There is rain in the summer so our bathing suits got wet.

We enjoyed our stay at Boca Olas, we were able to check in a little early, visited the restaurant upon arrival and strolled into town briefly to check things out. We appreciated that they provided reusable glass bottles and had a refill water station centrally located on the property. They have two pools, which were great to relax by! The property was kept clean and neat, they had signage noting the various plants (which I found interesting to read), they had a game area/pavilion, and the hotel is a short walk to the boardwalk and into town. The beach that you can see is very rocky so we walked further down the boardwalk to the main el tunco beach. I didn't want to bring a beach bag and leave it unattended while in the water, so I ended up not spending as much time at the beach as I would have liked. We checked out and they let us continue using the property amenities until we left. Breakfast was included daily and the selections were wonderful. Staff was friendly and helpful! I would definitely stay here again.

Love the location, quiet but with easy access to El Tunco and the beach. Staff could not have been friendlier. Breakfast was really nice, and so convenient to be able to eat well before getting started on the day. Internet access worked perfectly - no issues there. Rooms are comfortable - ideally, I'd have liked an alternative to the bed for sitting comfortably, but that's minor. Hammocks and outside tables in each room is really nice. Nice to have filtered water easily available to refill water bottles and carafes.

Literally the only thing would be a lounge chair or easy chair in the room. The shower is gentle to a fault, but that's minor.

My wife and I fell in love with Bocas Olas Resort, we're hoping to plan another trip there ASAP! Special thanks to Solomon, Leo, Omar, Christian (and all of the other staff members, can't remember their names!). We were treated so kindly by everyone....waiters and waitresses, bartenders, housekeepers, groundskeepers, gate guards. Location was perfect, 2 to 3 minute walk into the heart of El Tunco where there are endless food options, bars, nightlife, yoga, massage, shopping, etc. Numerous surf options within walking distance and plenty of places to rent boards in El Tunco. I could go on and on, just go down there and see for yourself! Muchas Gracias Boca Olas, we'll be back soon!

We did enjoy our stay at your property, your staff were exceptional.

We requested our room account the night before so we could check the details were correct. We were advised this was not possible and the account would be ready the following morning at check out. The account wasn't ready and the staff went through each transaction adding up manually. There was not a copy available to us. We have never not received a invoice with all items featured, this is something guests would expect at check out

Beautiful property - the view was spectacular. We stayed in a king room with a sea view and highly recommend. The staff were very helpful when we had issues with the AC and held our bags before/after checkout. Pool drinks were great, breakfast was good. We didn’t have dinner there but had a snack at the pool and it was pretty good. Spacious room and loved how it was tucked away from the nightlife a bit so it wasnt too loud in the evening. Walking location to all of el tunco.

Our bed was not comfortable as we hoped for the price. We thought the hotel could have offered more amenities or at least made us aware of them for the price we paid. For example, a robe, slippers, etc. as nice as the room was we hoped the bed would be a LOT more comfortable.

They have coffee in the rooms, welcome water bottles. A water filling station in the courtyard. Comfortable beds, great aircon units, ample hot water in the showers. It’s just far enough from the beach front area that you feel like you’re in a little oasis, then a 5 minute walk and you’re in the center of everything. Great spot, highly recommend. The breakfast that’s included is amazing and everything always comes out looking like the pictures or better. Friendly and helpful staff too!

This was a really pleasant surprise, very nice and well kept facilities, you see staff doing maintenance constantly, pool and gardens. The location is not on the beach but it is a short walk to the promenade right on the beach with lots of nicely appointed restaurants and bars. Theres is something for all tastes. I have to complement the staff who up and down the line are helpful, courteous and willing to accomodate your needs. I thank chef Mario for the nice chat and restaurant recommendation. I regret that I do not remember the name of the staff member who offered his own personal cel phone to complete a work call that I had and due to a power outage we had no internet. Talk about above and beyond! The pool location is ideal, they have one for families and children, one for adults with a swim up bar. It is really nice and cannot ask for a better setup. They have a game room that is available for guests and I am sure kids can take advantage of that. The breakfast selection is varied, about 10 different choices and the ones that I tried were all good. Friendly and accomodating wait staff. Congratulations to Boca Olas Resort on such a nice job with their staff. The rooms are comfortable with ceiling fan and air conditioning, well set up bathroom with shower and separate toilet room. Complementary bottled water is provided daily.

I had to think hard about what to comment on. The internet in the room was spotty and for work calls.... a bit of a hassle. However, I could sit outside and have better signal. You have to key a different password for each device, so make sure you ask for extra passwords when you check and that they do not expire the next day. The location is not on the beach, but if it is all that important to you, there are many other properties nearby to select.

Breakfast was great, staff was super nice. They all wanted to practice english and were patient with our Spanish.

I really wanted to be able to adventure out and getting a driver seemed unclear. I was handed a card with a QR code, but didn't really understand what it was for. The staff wasn't really familiar with local beaches and attractions to go see (or not really helpful). We got most of our information from other travelers.
