Location Location Location.....At extremely shots notice, we stayed in room 10. Although one of the none refurbished room. The spectacular views made up for this. The catering didn't dissapoint either. We enjoined various meals throughout the day, all very good. The staff where all very professionally and helpful. One member of staff we'd like to mention is Kamila. (I hope iv remembered her name correctly). As part of a very good team, she stood out making are stay a very enjoyable experience, Always happy, smiling and rushing around making sure everything was clean and tidy and guests wanted for nothing.... We will book again and we will ask for room 10... Great job

Personal we have absolutely no complaints.

Clean room, helpful staff and some nice touches - such as a handwritten note of welcome and some taster cakes left in the room. More personal than chain hotels and as a result, homely and welcoming.

Road down to the hotel was interesting! Nothing to do with the hotel though and part of the charm/experience.

The bar closed at 10 pm ok there were no other customers Room was clean and tidy and well maintained, however the plumbing in the bathroom was very last century Walk in showers are a must these days NOT showers in the bath Us 80 year olds have great difficulty getting our limbs over a high bath and then having to lean down to knee height to operate the taps without the aid of some sort of handrail Both sets of taps on basin and shower were antiquated being each controlled separately for flow and temperature Very poor ergonomics

Food the fault of the hotel very good -evening meal especially.

Our original room was quite small with no drawer space. We were moved to a suite because of the inconvenience of a power cut the previous night. Which was much better. However the heating didn't come on until about 10 am and the hot water took a long time to come through and then wasn't that hot.

The hotel was beautifully decorated and felt luxurious after a long walk on the SWCP. We loved our room with its four poster bed and stylish bathroom. The welcome dessert was a sweet touch. Excellent dinner & breakfast.

The hotel is quite secluded and there is no garden/yard to explore. Poor soundproofing in rooms so you can hear your neighbours. The furnitures in the dining area could use some upgrading. The staff was attentive and eager to help but seemed a bit inexperienced. When checking in, the receptionist failed to see how tired we were. Instead of helping us swiftly to our room, she had a lot of standard information to give.

Amazing location. The staff were fantastic from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. The food was phenomenal! We eat in some very nice restaurants in London and I can honestly say that Nathan the chef belongs in that category he is amazing! We really can’t wait to visit again.

Firstly, the hotel was set in a beautiful, quiet location and our room had fantastic views to the sea and coastal path. For two days I could leave the car and we would soon be on the South West Coast Path. The room, though somewhat 'old-fashioned' was kept clean and tidy. Bedding and towels were changed during our week's stay, and we were kept well stocked with provisions. There was a good choice at breakfast time, with hot food provided well cooked by the very friendly staff. We took all our meals in the Admiral's Bar and enjoyed them immensely. There was sufficient choice to return to our favourites as the week progressed. Again, the service was excellent.

We really had nothing to complain about. The room decoration was old-fashioned, but in keeping with the type of hotel.

Location, friendly staff, lovely room but bed could have been bigger for us.

I can't think of anything, everything was up to my expectations, the staff were so courteous and couldn't do enough for me

The room was very welcoming after a difficult drive. The rook was clean and the bed gave us both a well deserved nights rest. Breakfast and Evening meals were super with lots of choice. The staff makes the hotel and the staff here are amazing.

The Room was not services twice during my stay but when I asked a member of staff they quickly apologised and send up a member of the service team to put things right. It happens but the way they corrected this was 1st class and made us feel valued again. The service team do need to look out for other areas like a falling down curtain rails and blocked shower trays but again in their defence they came and sorted it out straight away and our stay was not spoiled my this.
