Location Location Location.....At extremely shots notice, we stayed in room 10. Although one of the none refurbished room. The spectacular views made up for this. The catering didn't dissapoint either. We enjoined various meals throughout the day, all very good. The staff where all very professionally and helpful. One member of staff we'd like to mention is Kamila. (I hope iv remembered her name correctly). As part of a very good team, she stood out making are stay a very enjoyable experience, Always happy, smiling and rushing around making sure everything was clean and tidy and guests wanted for nothing.... We will book again and we will ask for room 10... Great job

Personal we have absolutely no complaints.

The bar closed at 10 pm ok there were no other customers Room was clean and tidy and well maintained, however the plumbing in the bathroom was very last century Walk in showers are a must these days NOT showers in the bath Us 80 year olds have great difficulty getting our limbs over a high bath and then having to lean down to knee height to operate the taps without the aid of some sort of handrail Both sets of taps on basin and shower were antiquated being each controlled separately for flow and temperature Very poor ergonomics

Food the fault of the hotel very good -evening meal especially.

Our original room was quite small with no drawer space. We were moved to a suite because of the inconvenience of a power cut the previous night. Which was much better. However the heating didn't come on until about 10 am and the hot water took a long time to come through and then wasn't that hot.

Amazing location. The staff were fantastic from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. The food was phenomenal! We eat in some very nice restaurants in London and I can honestly say that Nathan the chef belongs in that category he is amazing! We really can’t wait to visit again.

Firstly, the hotel was set in a beautiful, quiet location and our room had fantastic views to the sea and coastal path. For two days I could leave the car and we would soon be on the South West Coast Path. The room, though somewhat 'old-fashioned' was kept clean and tidy. Bedding and towels were changed during our week's stay, and we were kept well stocked with provisions. There was a good choice at breakfast time, with hot food provided well cooked by the very friendly staff. We took all our meals in the Admiral's Bar and enjoyed them immensely. There was sufficient choice to return to our favourites as the week progressed. Again, the service was excellent.

We really had nothing to complain about. The room decoration was old-fashioned, but in keeping with the type of hotel.

Breakfast was fine, everything freshly cooked and service was good.

I can't think of anything, everything was up to my expectations, the staff were so courteous and couldn't do enough for me

Beautiful position just back from the coast. Very clean and comfortable. Although i only met one member of staff who took on many roles she was excellent along with the food in the restaurant and at breakfast. It did not appear that the hotel was too busy and when we arrived we were upgraded to a superior room a lovely gesture which was much appreciated.

The only thing worth a mention was the towels, these were of a good size but they were extremely hard & scratchy, a soft fluffy bath sheet would have been the icing on the cake. Another thing worth noting is the access to the hotel is along very narrow ant tight roads so care is needed.

absolutely amazing for the price. better than almost every other more expensive hotel i’ve stayed in! amazing view of white horses in a field that i could see from my bed! very comfy bed, very clean and spacious room, with everything you need. we also had dinner one night at the hotel, and i had the veggie lasagna + ice cream, which were both delicious! we even walked into the room for the first time and were surprised by a tray with 2 little cakes on it, and a personalised handwritten welcome note, which was amazing! the staff were really, really friendly and welcoming also. we spoke to 2 young girls who worked on reception and both of them were really warm and attentive and very professional :) we had a really, really lovely time here, and it was soooooo much better than i even thought it would be— thank you! :)

nothing really stood out to me as negative or bad! the only very, very small thing that i’d say is that the blanket on the double bed seemed to be made of 2 smaller blankets zipped together and they kept bunching up in the night haha, but obviously this is nothing important :) really lovely hotel

The room was well equipped. The breakfast had lots of choices and was excellent. Would certainly stay there again. The staff were friendly and helpful making it altogether a very enjoyable stay.

Fantastic staff , early check in, we attended for a wedding locally. Free homemade cakes in bedroom. Fabulous breakfast
