Central location and parked outside in the street overnight (didn’t look for a car park, maybe they have one). Friendly laid back staff took a little while to check us in but we’re in no hurry. Room number 3 is spacious with quirky decor and shabby-chic furniture to our liking. Huge bathroom with central bath and vast shower (only overhead shower heads though - my wife would prefer a hand held option too) but overall the room is to our liking and comfortable. The food at dinner was delicious and a cut above pub-grub but priced accordingly. My wife’s lamb was slightly too rare (raw) but quickly rectified with a delicious replacement. Lovely desserts. Bedtime - pillowgate! The double bed is huge and looks inviting but the pillows… they are rock hard: two is too many and one not enough. Firm is ok, and you’d be happy of them in prison, but in a relatively luxurious hotel room you’d expect something fluffy and comfortable (expensive). I’d recommend four of Soak & Sleep’s finest and the Crooked Swan would have customers who could complain of nothing. My neck and upper shoulders would be grateful next time. Recommended nonetheless (I have no interest in Soak & Sleep btw, just know their pillows are lush) Breakfast was triumphant too.

Myself and my daughter stayed overnight in The Crooked Swan - where we were welcomed into a fantastic room, with gorgeous en suite- it was truly beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful; courtyards very pretty; breakfast was very tasty and kept us filled up until dinner time (which was a good job as multiple train delays returning to Sussex due to bank hols!). Thankyou we had a lovely time xx

Had to go out at 8 am to remark my car …and then had to wait for a member of staff to be on premises at 8 to get back in! It would be good if they pointed me to a place where I didn’t have to move my car… Also I had a meeting at 9.15 on the Thursday morning… breakfast was rushed as it only started at 8.30… which seems quite late??

The children had a great little bunk bed in a nook, which they loved. The pub is lovely with great wines and lovely staff as well as fantastic breakfast. Great location in the centre of Crewkerne.

This wasn't a problem for us but worth knowing that the parking is a few minutes' walk in a public car park. But you can pull up outside and drop off / pick up so that's fine.

Superb room with one of the best bathrooms we've ever had. Staff were welcoming and helpful both before and after check in. We'll be back :-)

The pillows on the bed were very very firm, it would be good to offer a second softer pillow for choice as it detracted from what otherwise was a very comfortable room and good nights sleep.

Staff were friendly, especially Craig. Food was great, breakfast was both continental and cooked so plenty to fuel the day. The dinner was delicious and both my wife and I agreed was the best meal we’d had that weekend. Would definitely stay again. No parking but not really an issue with a medium stay car park a 3 minute walk away.

We were in room 1 which was lovely but the sash window overlooks the courtyard which people used. They were a tiny bit noisy but this all stoped around 10ish. Not a problem if you wear earplugs like me 😊

The atmosphere of this place is really cool, lively bar and love the quirky features in the rooms. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and breakfast in the morning was delicious and very good quality, loved that you could choose how you wanted your eggs. Despite the lively atmosphere downstairs in the evening, my room was peaceful and couldn't hear downstairs at all. Check in and check out were both easy and appreciated that the invoice for my trip was emailed to me straight away saving me from chasing up afterwards. My room had a beautiful bathroom with lovely bathtub and shower. Bed was huge and mattress very comfy but the pillows were quite hard.

There wasn't any sanitary bin in the toilet (not great for lady things!) and as the wire framed bin in the bedroom had no liner in - couldn't put anything in there. Would have been good to have a full length mirror in the room. A card in the room with details of wifi code, breakfast timings, general info etc., would have been good too.

The ambience of the pub/restaurant and the room we stayed in was delightfully eccentric and also comfortably welcoming. The quality of the restaurant food was exceptional. The best I have tasted in a very long time

The room we stayed in, whilst very pleasantly furnished and decorated, was rather warm because it faced the afternoon sun. It also overlooked the main street and was quite noisy. Next time I will ask for a room at the back

We loved our stay in this quirky hotel.Huge room,bed and bathroom with a lovely deep bath.Although our room overlooked the main junction in Crewkerne,there was very little noise and we slept soundly. Cooked breakfast looked fantastic!

As we were going to have a big lunch, we opted for a continental breakfast. It was good but we just felt they weren't quite as geared up to this as they were for the cooked breakfast
