Very quite, beautiful area for hiking and scenic views. It is more of a couples resort, I wouldn't bring my kids. I love that there was always coffee and light snacks in the lobby. I will come back for sure.

Inn was beautiful, parking was easy and free. Owner and family/ staff were friendly and accommodating. They note it, but be aware there is no elevator to get upstairs to the gorgeous rooms. There are also few places to eat nearby and no restaurant at the Inn. They provide free snacks, coffee, packaged pastry, bagles etc. But on a Sunday or Monday night 'good' restaurants around the area are closed. There is no lake access at the Inn. It's fairly close, it you still have to drive. We loved our stay, but if you are looking for a lake vacation (and are staying over a Sunday or Monday night) there are some inconveniences.

Great location and amazing facility. The nature surrounding the inn is phenomenal and the people running the inn as well as in the surrounding towns of Badin and Albemarle are some of the nicest folk you will ever find. It's also an extremely enjoyable and leisurely drive to Charlotte.

The history of the place quaint and quiet it was beautiful landscape.

May have been a little outdated but it is from 1913 so got to take that in consideration in staying there that you won't have the most update features but it's still a beautiful place to stay

Breakfast was okay. Not sure how fresh some items really were. Liked options for drinks and snacks. Inn had a cool vintage vibe.

Creepy being the only people there. Almost no interaction with staff. Barely greeted the following day.

loved the historic feel of the building, the grounds were well kept and there was ample parking. the facility was clean, and the place was quiet. there was plenty of areas to sit in solitude.

perhaps a small breakfast, but thats up to the owner's ability to introduce. not a deal breaker. next time i'll get a room with a small fridge so i can keep something small to eat.

The property was amazing,the scenery was beautiful. it was during the week late winter but we were able to walk the path behind the Inn and see the deer and wildlife.

The Inn was well decorated for the holidays, clean, comfortable and charming and always.

The mini kitchen was well stocked, but missing hot chocolate and tea variety.

The Inn was super charming with great decor that matched what I was picturing perfectly! The room was so nice, with a great bed and linens, a decently-sized bathroom, and a beautiful view. The complementary breakfast and drinks was a much appreciated surprise that made our trip less stressful. There was a wide selection. It was nice to see the tip box too, they deserve every penny for providing all that they did. The disc golf course on site was AMAZING! That was the main reason we chose this location and we were not disappointed. Top notch course with beautiful, panoramic views. The path would also be great for walking around just for exercise. The back patio was gorgeous at night! We sat down to watch the sunset and spotted deer out on the disc golf course. It was so idyllic! The location was really quiet and peaceful. It was exactly what we were searching for to get away from the busy city we live in.

Someone else's trash was left in the bathroom and someone had used the toilet and not flushed it. It kind of made us doubt the overall cleanliness of the bathroom.

The complimentary snacks and coffee were so helpful! We took advantage, (traveling with two teen boys) so we definitely donated some money towards it. Lots of privacy, and a beautiful Inn. My son will be going to Pfeiffer University in the fall, so I’m sure I’ll be staying at the Inn many more times in the future. If it were local to me I’d get married there. Such beautiful grounds and interior design!

It was kind of vacant with no one working the front desk, but as a former business owner myself I understand.
