The room and the facilities of the hotel were great.

We asked to use the pool since the weather was beautiful and it hadn’t rained yet and we booked the hotel because of the pool. First it was not possible and the staff was also not willing to let us cancel to find a hotel that did offer an operation pool. After an hour when we walked in the lobby a group of 4 staff were talking and looking at us and all of a sudden we were told we were allowed to use the pool at own risk. This felt uncomfortable, being talked about like this amongst all staff. It did spoil the experience of staying in a luxury hotel, which is a pity because everything else was great.

We had a great stay at Lake Hotel Ioannina. The beds are very comfortable, and the rooms are quiet, perfect for a good night’s rest. Everything is spotless, and the staff are polite and very helpful. Breakfast was tasty, and the pool area is excellent — with towels and water provided. The Wi-Fi in the room is okay, but much better in the main part of the hotel. The only downside was the shower water pressure, which was a bit weak.

- Extra charge for coffee types beyond filter coffee at breakfast - 20-25 minute walk from the city centre. However, this offers tranquillity, ample parking space and a taxi ride costs only 4€

The breakfast was great. Only 2 exceptions. Water for the tea definitely could have been hotter and the bacon cooked more. Desserts were plentiful and delicious. Also, Petros the front desk person was great. He was so helpful regarding dining suggestions, taxis, the general area we were in, just his overall demeanor was so pleasant. Yes, it's what a traveler would expect at a hotel, etc, but he went above and beyond. The young lady who wa the server in the dining room our first night was also interesting, helpful and so pleasant. We'd go back there in a heart beat.

We simply adore The Lake Hotel! Every time we stay here we experience a new level of top class hospitality! Superbly clean and comfortable place with crystal clear swimming pool and beautifully designed surrounding park! As we traveled with our 4 cats we decided to stay at their comfy suite. This suite is just perfect, featuring super comfy bed, nicely furnished living room, real wooden flooring, large balcony covered in quality stone tiles overlooking the Ioannina lake. I especially like their marble bathroom with a jacuzzi type bath that gave me so much needed relaxation after a long road trip and prior to another! Before leaving we asked if a local vet could come to our suite to check up our cats, and the hotel management replied: “Of course they can, we are a 100% pet friendly hotel! The vet has a small clinic in walkable distance to the hotel, if you travel with your pets, this is so good to know! Both the receptionists are lovely ladies, the young waiters at the restaurant are unbelievably professional and kind while the chef is a maestro!!! Just book it, this hotel is a gem!!!

The property is perfect, nothing to dislike!

This hotel did not disappoint. The facilities, the staff, the service - it was all exceptional. The breakfast was delicious. A mix of local cuisine and your accustomed breakfast offerings. The pool was enormous and the music from the pool bar provided a great backdrop whilst we chilled and enjoyed the warm weather. We will definitely be back.

It would’ve been nice if the walking path along the lake continued up to the Hotel - but it was only a short walk along the street before you turned down to the restaurants and the walkway.

We only stayed for one night before our trip to Pappigo so we didn’t experience all of the hotel, like the pool for example But the room was VERY SPACIOUS with VERY HIGH CEILINGS big bathroom Wood floor! Small sitting area Window screen so insects can’t fly in when you leave the window open! Nice breakfast although they can improve coffee quality & marmalades ( way to sweet and off the shelf ! Why not utilize this region’s amazing homemade products instead? ) Location few minutes away from airport and few more to the city center , 40 min away from Acheron river springs! This place is great value ! We will come back most likely!

The Lake hotel is a spacious, modern conference hotel near the lake, but without direct lake views as a grandstand for rowing events hides it from the hotel pool. Rooms are large, with sizeable terraces, and the bathrooms are finished in polished marble. Ours had both shower and bathtub, and there were two bathrobes, always welcome. Overall, the hotel is rather cool and anonymous in feel, but there are unexpected decorative details: wooden ceilings with painted panels; and the staff are cheerful and helpful, if not always totally on the ball. Room rates are good out of season, so this is a nice place to rest after travelling around the northwest of Greece.

I can't think of anything in particular, other than that the hot breakfast foods could be a little less soaked in fat.

We just loved staying at The Lake Hotel! The rooms are spacious and have all the facilities, including tea/coffee (no machine), a little fridge, bath robes, and slippers. Cleaning in the rooms and in the hotel in general was spotless. The food, both breakfast and dinner, was excellent, special thank you to the Chef. The hotel staff was very helpful and polite at all times. Our special appreciation and thank you to the reception lady Anthia. What an exceptional and devoted employee! We had a great pleasure communicating with her and her assistance was just outstanding!! We would definitely return and recommend this hotels to all our friends visiting Ioannina.

The only thing we would add is a shower curtain or a shade. Also looking forward to some spa services which might be a great value to this wonderful hotel

The property is well maintained and the breakfast was great

It is far from the center and you have to walk to not so great areas to get to the lake or the center. The location next to a football stadium provided a lot of noise untill late in the evening. Also the rooms isolation is not great and we had the bad chance of loud neighbors.
