The hotel is quiet and cozy. The upgraded rooms are quite pleasant and come with a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and refrigerator. Within a 4-5 minute walk, there’s an excellent supermarket with groceries and ready-made meals, as well as various cafes with Japanese, Mexican cuisine, and a Starbucks. The hotel is located in a prestigious area near Manhattan Beach, and I didn't notice any homeless people in this neighborhood.

The rooms lack basic dishes, like cutlery and plates. Getting to the main part of LA can be quite time-consuming if you’re relying

Well located in LA bayside & on bus route. Nearby access to a range of dinning experiences and a lengthy, but doable walk to the actual Manhattan beach with waves. Hilly walk uphill return from beach but lovely residential suburb short cuts off main roads. Access to coastal bus services and relatively close to LAX for international visitors - not wanting to stay near the LAX airport or further downtown.

Could have had some tea/coffee making facility in room or a coffee vending machine in lobby or near vending food annexe. A cheap analogue microwave would be useful - capital cost $50/room they are cheap now.

It walkable to and from the beach and it's around a safe and quiet neighborhood. There wasn't any microwave in my room but it's an easy request to make if you ask. Very friendly staff and people I've encountered

After a while, the bed gets a bit uncomfortable (for a week stay) just wish the mattress is softer. Although the beach is walking distance, I just wish there weren't any steep hills to walk on.

Our expectations were low because we picked a budget motel, but we were pleasantly surprised at the quality and cleanliness of the room, bathroom and bed. Good location - close to LAX, Manhattan and Hermosa Beaches. Gourmet Supermarket and Starbucks a couple of blocks away. Housekeeping staff were excellent and responsive.

Would have scored higher if there had been tea and coffee facilities in the room and if there had been a laundry on the premises. Front desk service was non-existent. The front office was basically unmanned. You ring a bell and wait for 10+ minutes for someone to respond. We gave up waiting when we stopped by to ask about checking out procedures. There was a slot to return keys at the night window which we used and hoped for the best.

We are long time guests at the Seahorse! The hotel has a great and convenient to Manhattan beach, a wonderful town and amazing beach. The front desk is consistently the most friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable offering everything a traveler needs. I love their Seahorse pool too! Very inviting!🐬

The staff was very friendly and took care of my volleyball team when we arrived. The rooms were clean and they kept up with them daily.

The air conditioner in my room wasn’t the best and the tv didn’t work well in the other room but they came to fix the tv. I didn’t complain about the air conditioner since it was still decently comfortable. But I still would give a great review based on their service.

Good location - close to Manhattan beach pier and all volleyball activities in the beach. We stayed at the new redeveloped room. It was very clean with the kitchen and fridge. Very good man at reception who gave us kettle and dryer fan. This is a very good neighborhood and not far from LAX (~20 min by car) - very convenient

Everything was fine but water tap probably was Chinese so hot water was not so hot in the shower

Value for money, safe and quiet yet convenient area walking distance to beach and local eateries. Fantastic staff, very welcoming and helpful. Vending machines very handy for midnight munchie. Free parking

minor grievance Internet can sometimes resets in middle of night so keep your password handy. Pool was closed but probably too cold anyway

The location is located close to Manhattan Beach (approximately 5 min drive / half an hour or less from Santa Monica for reference) The rooms were clean and made for a great place to rest. Not far from shopping at a supermarket.

Nothing much that I can think of honestly. Unsure if there were access to a microwave to heat up food, if there was, I may have overlooked it.

Room was just renovated to modern clean standards, Super comfy bed with new linens. Nice touches with the surfer on the blind which was fitted well and kept the daylight out. Slick modern bathroom and nicley fitted kitchen.

LA is a busy city and the roads are always busy so some noise can be heard, but that is beyond the control of the Seahorse and just indiciative of LA life.
