Francois and Louis are great and hospitable. I have been staying at various places including hotels all over Stellenbosch the last few months, for work and personal reasons. Vilaroux is by far, the most impressive of all my stays in Stellenbosch. Working WiFi, security, parking space and quiet were paramount to me. Having a seamless and stress free stay is also vital to me. Francois made sure there was enough electricity in the meter especially given the cold weather. He was there to meet me and walk me through the apartment. Very responsive. Louis helped me with check out and offered to help with bags. Everything was seamless and stress free - something which I appreciated. Previous experiences at other places made me wary of how some hosts could be micromanaging and some hotels lacked the warmth of a private accommodation. I’ll be back in Stellenbosch next year and will definitely book with Vilaroux.

The apartment was upgraded and everything was clean and comfortable. Francois was there to welcome us and Louis Botes was there every day to make sure we had everything we needed. He stayed to help us with our suit cases down the many stairs. There were battery lights for the times we needed them because of load shedding. I can really recommend this place to stay if you go to Stellenbosch.

The many steps we had to climb up and down were problematic for the elderley women but in the end we managed and we were all very happy with our stay.

The host Francois was kind, friendly, helpful and accommodating. Louis (sunshine). Always has a smile on his face and he is always eager to help. He is a Warm and friendly person. No breakfast as it is a self catering apartment. The location is excellent very close to shops and the countryside with vineyards everywhere against a backdrop of mountains is stunning. Really enjoyed our short stay in Stellenbosch. Will definitely stay at Vilaroux if we ever visit Stellenbosch again.

Everything you need and more for self catering. Clean and modern. Quality beds and bedding. Great shower heads - good pressure, warm water. Excellent security. Francois went the extra mile to assist with late check in due to unforseen circumstances. Friendly cleaning staff. Walking distance to most restaurants. We will definitely be back.

Our host was super friendly and helpful. The apartment is modern, neat and comfortable - just like the photo's. Loved our stay and will definitely stay here again.

Not enough pots for cooking. Only one tiny pot and one really large pot.

The host and caretaker were helpful and friendly. The property is centrally situated and I could walk to the places I needed to visit. Safe parking in the basement with good security. The property is spacious with well equipped kitchen and each bedroom has its own comfortable shower.

Luxury, easy walking distance from various restaurants.

Our bags were quite heavy, to get it up two sets of stairs were quite difficult. There was assistance but checking out had to drag it down two sets of stairs. Luckily, we are still young and strong :-) Maybe a rope and pulley system as in some guest houses in Amsterdam needed:-)

The host and staff were excellent. Very helpful, friendly and informative. The apartment was very clean and spacious.Secure location. It's a home away from home. Will definitely stay at Vilaroux again. A place we highly recommend.
