Great location, Superb Breakfast, Friendly efficient staff, Nice lounge/Bar area, Well-appointed comfortable clean safe rooms

Wifi upload only 8.7mbps,1mbps download latency 182ms jitter 65ms. (in room and throughout the hotel- too slow for business use) Other hotels NORMALLY 20mbps up/download speeds per device. (Anything less than this, guests WILL complain.) Staff on duty tried but couldn't assist with screen mirroring as per tv instructions. TV name /pairing didn't work. Sent email to IT/reception in the AM for assistance. Helpful manager Derrick contacted Deon at IT to sort. Something was attempted? but Nothing was attended to for the above for the rest of my stay. News Channels as per room directory not working (Sky, BBC etc). Room309

The staff were honestly all amazing, but a special shoutout to Derick that took the time to assist us with choosing which wine tram to pick! He was very knowledgeable and checked in on us daily!

The walls were a bit thin and sound proofing could be better. We were on the third floor but could still hear noise in the lounge on the ground floor until a few minutes before 11pm each night.

Nice boutique hotel located very centrally. Big wonderful room and bathroom with good lights. Convenient for working with desk light and plugs. Quiet heating/cooling system. Good breakfast. Staff overall very friendly and welcoming without being in your face. A feel good place.

My room was dark from a natural light perspective (but good artificial lights), but I think most of the other rooms have lots of natural light. I probably wouldn't return to the restaurant in my case, rather expensive and I wasn't overwhelmed (the service while ok wasn't that great and my medium rare steak was cooked well done and when I made a slight comment FYI, it was just ignored; but that may be just an isolated case, since breakfast was perfect).

The room I had was comfortable, cozy but bland. My brother's room was in the older wing and much more spacious with more character with more interesting furniture and fixtures.

The additional charge for breakfast for one person was excessive and unnecessary and caused by a booking misunderstanding. The lighting in the lounge was way too bright and made the room feel cold and uncomfortable. Take out some of the ceiling lights and add lighting such as floor lamps only where it is needed. The glass walls between the sleeping area and bathroom should have curtains or blinds so as the other guest in the room is not disturbed at night when the bathroom is used.

Great central location in Stellenbosch. The room was really comfortable with complementary teas & coffee’s & a super king size bed. We were in a double room but all our group of 12 were impressed with their rooms. Breakfast’s were excellent with a great choice of help yourself buffet but also the chef would provide whatever breakfast you requested - fantastic service.

You need a plug adapter to convert from uk standard (square) 3-pin to SA round 3-pin, but this is true of most SA hotels.

It was good.

I was charged for a dinner meal I never had. Had to prove I paid for the one I did have. I was phoned in the night to pay and was woken up. Told them I had paid. So they need to sort that out. It did not leave a good taste. Apart from that incident the staff were very pleasant. Sad that that happened. I saw two staff members whispering looking at us and only realised when I went to say goodbye and was presented with a food bill for me to pay that it turned sour. Would I go back. Maybe not after that. Should not happen.

We didn’t like our room. Bed was lovely and comfortable but the bathroom was horrible. Really badly designed and all the glass work was chipped, shower was in with the toilet and shower door opened into that area. We had a balcony and chairs were missing bits, if I had been staying longer than 2 nights would have said something . We booked apparently a luxury room

the restaurant service was a little poor. I complained about my table to the waiter, as it was unstable. she did nothing about the wobbly table. I then fixed it myself with a paper napkin. when I went to have supper the same night, I see my same paper napkin was holding the table stable. this means that the problem was never fixed, now was the table moved between breakfast and supper for them to clean the floors. to add to this, the restaurant service was terrible. you serve a noodle miso broth type dish, but do not offer chop sticks, and I had to ask for a spoon to be able to eat the noodles. we waited an extremely long time for our wine order to me served and got an excuse that you do not keep the wine on the menu in the restaurant. it was very disappointing, considering the hotel itself was perfect.

Very central in Stellenbosch. A lovely looking hotel. Easy to walk to the shops and restaurants. There is a pick up facility to take guests to the wine estate’s for tastings. The front desk was very helpful.

The sun wasn’t on the pool for long but to be fair, this is late autumn. And we were there into go to art galleries, shop, eat good food and drink good wine, all of which we did. The staff were fab.

The location was close to all the restuarants which suited us as we did not have our own transport. We were there to assist our two children move to there new accommodation for 2025. It was literally 10 minutes away.

I could really fault the accommodation. We were tucked away in a quiet location in the hotel. Although we did find a rather large cockroach in the enclosed passage way to our room sitting in the middle of the wall.
