Absolutely everything since the first contact through the messenger. Bernice is such an extraordinary person and made me feel welcome since the texting and also when I got there. Despite the fact, that I came earlier than check in time, she let me access my room and gave me several tips about my travel plans. Besides , she took care and made sure the bolt driver would drop me off at the right address to take the bus safe further to South Africa and was aware of the situation he appeared with a different vehicle and license plate , by taking note, in case of emergency. Definitely, one of the best stays I ever had in my lifetime. Last but not least. Even the breakfast was offered earlier than regular time to make sure I got the cab ride in time to be at the bus stop. Much appreciated. Many thanks to Bernice and her staff to made my short stay in Stellenbosch smooth and pleasant.

Nothing, everything was perfect. That's why it got 10 as evaluation.

First of all; outstanding host and staff. The manager did everything and more; when we asked for advise about restaurants on New Years Day, she called and invented about 20 different places to find the best for us. After the first morning, she knew our very different breakfast preferences (a family of four!). She personally posted our postcards when we couldn't find a post box. What deeply impressed was when we forgot a suitcase in the guest house and called her from the airport; she immediately organized a shuttle to bring the suitcase safely to the airport in time! We are SO grateful for this, from shock to relief - absolutely brilliant engagement and service!

Centrally located in Stellenbosch, it was only a short walk to the town centre. Bernice was an excellent host, the accommodation was very clean and tidy providing an excellent breakfast. A small decanter of sherry was provided in the room which was very welcome. Bernice also provided us with some attractions to visit locally, which we thoroughly enjoyed. There was also a pool at the accommodation and pool towels were readily available. Thank you for an excellent stay, we wish we had stayed longer to enjoy more of Stellenbosch.

Everything was great.

The guest house has a lovely atmosphere with cute decorations and a very friendly owner and staff. It’s located within a short walking distance to everything in Stellenbosch, which made getting around very easy.

Sound carries very easily between rooms, so we could hear other guests getting up early in the morning. Additionally, the breakfast was quite limited — mainly toast, and the fruit wasn’t always fresh. A more varied and higher-quality breakfast would be a big improvement.

I had a fantastic stay at the Avenues. Bernice and her team did a great job, everybody was very friendly and smiling, I felt very welcome from the moment I arrived! The room was nice, a comfortable bed and the breakfast variety was great. (Eggs one could order aswell). The garden with chairs and pool are very inviting to relax after a long hot day. Centrally located, 8 minutes on foot and you‘d be in churchstreet.

Our stay at Avenues Guest House was exceptional. The owner kindly upgraded us to a better room and surprised us with a lovely gift for our anniversary. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. What really impressed us was the genuine hospitality and attention to detail from the owner and staff. Their thoughtful gestures made our stay truly memorable. We look forward to returning to Avenues Guest House in the future. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a wonderful getaway for any occasion.

Lovely facade and beautiful decor. Welcoming and comfortable atmosphere and amazing staff.

Filter coffee is provided in the rooms but there is no coffee plunger. More coffee would be nice and perhaps the option of hot chocolate would be great too. These are not negatives but simply personal preferences.

Very hospitable staff, small number of rooms so personal touch. Flexible on check in and out times which was a great help. Generous breakfast, peaceful garden. As it was winter I didn't try the pool! Convenient and pleasant short walk into town.

Sometimes woken by the breakfast preparation and other guests on earlier starts. The room had original door, off the main circulation space, which wasn't noise proof.

The hotel is quaint and serene. The rooms have a character which you get to share during your stay. Perfect for a wine tasting trip with a great personalized breakfast every morning. However, I was travelling for work and found the place equally welcoming. Bernese is a delightful host who takes good care of her guests

Warm greeting on arrival, great location for either Stellenbosch or nearby wine farms (needed a place to stay after a wedding at Tokara) in a quiet part of town. Was nice to have dedicated parking available off-street (though not behind a gate so don't leave anything valuable in the car). Enjoyed the Full English breakfast.

Nothing major, just some aspects that are more personal like needing to turn the aircon off as I tend to struggle with the dry air that comes from older models, and turning off the in-room fridge overnight as it was a bit noisy.
