All staff members were outstanding, great service with a smile and very attentive. Bed was super comfortable, linens were luxury quality, room #4 upstairs in the back of the house had a lovely terrace and quiet for sleeping, breakfast was excellent, and housekeeping was just right. Secure parking on-site. Loved being able to walk to town in the daylight and lots of walking and hiking paths/trails nearby.
Room #4 with the open inner balcony was a great room but felt not as private if you forgot to close the bathroom door or the bedroom door.

The hotel has a marvelous atmosphere of a manor house, complete with wood-burning fireplaces in the lounge and breakfast room. Our excellent host, Lindon, was friendly, professional and attentive to every request, making us feel welcome throughout our three-day visit. The rooms were newly renovated, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast was delicious and very fresh. The location was perfect, with a 10-minute walk to town or a nature walk along the small Mill Creek which runs behind the hotel. It’s also a short distance to Franschhoek, to enjoy the wine tram and fly fishing. We would definitely stay here for a future visit.
Nothing. We would like to have stayed longer.

Linden, Tashriq and the staff are great - always asking what more they can do for you. We had a couple of issues and Linden’s response and clear desire to resolve them were exceptional. The breakfasts too are notable: lovely fresh fruit and a choice of hot dishes (inc avocado 😋). The pool and outside area v pleasant. Just great laid back vibe with staff for whom nothing is too much trouble.
There were some problems with communication pre-stay and I couldn’t get responses to my messages. Not sure if this is an issue with booking.com messaging - although some were sent direct to the B&B. The room that we were given did not match the photos or size shown on booking.com site (for this category of room). As mentioned, Linden went out of his way to offer alternatives but in the end we stayed in allocated room to be nearer to the pool. A bit out of town - but Ubers cost around ZAR40-45 if you don’t feel like walking in to town.

It's an excellent base for discovering the winelands and towns of Stellenbosch and Fraschhoek. Stellenbosch Manor is an attractive family house dating from the very beginning of the last century. It has been sympathetically updated and sits behind its own gates in a very well-tended garden. Rooms and bathrooms are beautifully appointed, although the shower and bathroom fittings could use a little TLC. Breakfast is buffet and a la carte, and sets you up well for a day's exploration. The place is well-staffed, and everyone is extremely polite and friendly. Highly recommended.
The only slight disappointment was the pool, which looks huge in the photos (our compliments to the photographer) but in reality is a small square plunge pool. Otherwise, we had no complaints at all.

Breakfast was absolutely lovely. They accommodated all of our allergies and bought us special milk and bread. They helped us get all of our bags to our room up flights of stairs and recommended to us with a private wine tour service that was lovely. They also left flowers and bubbly for us as in the room. Location was fabulous to get to restaurants in town and wineries.
The only bummer was that the hotel did not have a generator so when the government load shedding happened, the hotel was not able to bring the power back on via generator.

Linden was absolutely incredible - he provided an exceptional service, and really did go above and beyond to assist me with any needs I had. The breakfast was delicious, and I loved the intimate small nature of the accommodation - everything was curated. The interior of the property is stunning, and I loved spending some time lounging around - which, I would never normally do in my accommodation when travelling.
The bed I stayed in felt a little short - I’m 5 ft 4 and my toes were creeping over the end of the bed. This might irritate a taller person, but it was fine for me. I also didn’t use the pool because it had quite a lot of smal leaves in it, so it didn’t look entirely enticing.

This boutique hotel exudes old times charm. A beautiful building, decorated elegantly with taste and attention to detail. Everyone working here is so nice and helpful (they even bought me an adaptor for my hairdryer!) Our room was spacious with an enormous bathroom with natural light - loved it! Breakfast - served in a beautiful room with fireplace - was excellent. There were buffet options and a variety of warm options that were prepared to your liking in the moment. The location, about 15 min on foot from the centre of Stellenbosch, is very convenient and provides peace and quiet. Stellenbosch itself is a lovely little town.

We had a wonderful stay at Stellenbosch Manor. The accomodation was beautifully presented and had a very warm/homely feel to it. We were able to park inside the gates which was great & the overall area/manor felt very safe. We had a large room out the back in the pool house, which felt private, with a beautiful bedroom/bathroom. The breakfast each morning was also excellent & the staff were very welcoming!
The location was a little out of town (not necessarily walking distance depending on what you're comfortable with) - but we found it easy to get around by driving or using uber!

We had a lovely stay at Stellenbosch Manor. All staff were super friendly and welcoming. Tashriq, in particular, was great. The breakfast was lovely and fresh, and Tashriq even set up a grab and go breakfast in our room for the day in which we had a very early flight. The rooms are very spacious and had all the amenities you need. The location was a short walk into town and staff were always on hand to give us their recommendations. We would highly recommend.
Our only issue was the soundproofing was not great so we could hear every movement upstairs and someone snoring! However, it is an old/ large house so it can be expected!

Excellent breakfast. We sat in the garden next to the pool which is beautiful. So peaceful and tranquil even though bustling Stellenbosch is on your doorstep. Rooms are beautifully decorated and so comfortable. Management and staff are friendly and efficient and nothing is too much trouble. We invited a friend who lives in the area to join us for breakfast and she was blown away with how beautiful it is.
Absolutely nothing - we could not find a single fault with this little boutique hotel.
